How Do I Move Images Closer or Overlap Them?

I have three yellow star shapes (png-24) and I want them
closer together. Specifically, I want to move the lower one up
higher. The two top shapes are in a table. The lower one is just
inserted onto the page. Here's the website:
http://www.dittydaddys.com/
Any suggestions?

There's not an easy answer for you. You could put the lower
one into an
absolutely positioned container, and place it on the page so
that it
overlaps the two images above, but unless it had a
transparent background
you would not achieve a desireable effect that way.
Furthermore, since you
have a flexible table holding the two higher images, you
would face the
issue of making the absolutely positioned element track those
images as they
adapt to the table's flexibility. Neither of these would be
easy prospects
for someone inexperienced with HTML/CSS and DW.

  • How do you move images in one aperture library to a new aperture library

    how do you move images in one aperture library to a new aperture?

    Hello, Patricia,
    Do you want to create a new Aperture Library with the images you select or to import them into another existing library?
    To create a new library based on selected images use the main Aperture menu:
         File -> Export -> Project (Folder, album) as New Library.
    To import a part of an Aperture Library into another Library, export the Aperture items as new library, then import that library into the destination library. That way you will ensure, that all versions and metadata are exported.

  • How do I move images in iPhoto '08?

    Recently, when I uploaded digital images from my camera to iPhoto, some of the images were in a different order from the order on the camera. I have been unable to move the images into the proper order. I remember being able to move images in albums in past versions of iPhoto. If it is possible to move photos in iPhoto '08, how do I do it?

    To sort photos manually you need to be in the Photo view of the Library and need to have event titles turned off
    This only changes the order in this view - in event view they still will be in date-time order according to the EXIF data from the camera
    If something is out of order you can change the date/time of the photo witht he change date function - or you can split events into multiple events if different things are mixed together and then in photo view with event titles turnd on you can easily move photos between events

    On my iPad I can move images behind other ones, is this feature unavailable on the web version of pages?

  • How do I move file rather than copy them from place to place?

    I'm not able to figure out how to move files. Every time I drag them from place to place in Finder all it does is makes a copy. How do I move them? I'm tired of copy and delete, then empty the trash... I'm just not getting it.

    Try this:
    To move files to a different disk without copying them, hold down the Command key while you drag the icons.
    I know it works in Leopard, and I think it also works in Tiger. If it doesn't, then there is a contextual menu module called MoveCM - VersionTracker or MacUpdate - that should do the trick.

  • How do I move images from one catalog to another?

    Having imported all of my image library into Lightroom as one catalog, I've realised that it would be more convenient to break this large catalog into several smaller ones. I am unsure how to best achieve this.
    Should I (or Can I) after creating a new catalog, move the relevant images and their folders from the original catalog into the new catalog, or do I delete them from the original catalog first before re-importing them into the new catalog? If the second option is correct, will the images retain the keywords and edit adjustments made when they were in the original catalog?
    On the other hand, is it possible to simply create a new catalog and import the relevant folders into that? In effect, having two different catalogs, with one containing some of the same folders as the other? Again, will they retain the keywords and edits?
    Thanks in advance.

    Without more detail, I am skeptical that this is a good idea.
    If you have one large catalog, and your photos are properly keyworded, then a simple click to the right of the keyword line gives you "Virtual Catalogs". It shows you only those photos with the keyword you just selected. So, today you can have a virtual catalog for Auto Shows, tomorrow you can have a virtual catalog of your trip to Italy, the next day you can have a virtual catalog of all of your beach photos. The possibilities are endless and don't require you to predefine how you split the catalog.
    There are no functions that work across multiple catalogs. If you ever want to do a search to find photos in catalog 1 and photos in catalog 2, you will not be able to do so.

  • How do I move images from my external back to my computer?

    Approx. 6-7 months ago I moved all my images to my external hard drive and worked from there.  I've since upgraded to a much larger internal hard drive and want to move them back.  I intially moved them via finder and Lightroom would say that the images are offline (obviously).  I'm not quite certain how to point Lightroom to the files.  What should I do?

    2 prefered solutions:
    Move the top level folder(s) from within LR (drag/drop each folder). This way, LR will keep track of the image locations
    Move the top level folder(s) in finder, then open LR and chose "Find Missing Folder ..." on the top level folder(s) which show a "?".
    Both options are best performed if you only have a few (best is one) top level folder with all your photos.

  • How do I MOVE images WITHOUT COPYING, please?....

    In Aperture 3.5.1 on Mac OS 10.9.1 and I have no accounts such as Flickr or Facebook listed in Aperture Account Preferences.
    Project A has no Albums and Project B has various Albums containing images which were directly imported from camera...
    I wish to MOVE only (not copy) some image/images from Project B's individual Albums to Project A.
    If I drag-n-drop the image, Aperture only creates a copy in the new destination. I don't want so much duplication.
    I have looked in the Help docs but cannot see an answer to my particular question, so I'm here.
    Any help appreciated.
    Many Thanks,
    Robin

    This is one of the places where Apple has disingenuously presented Aperture.  It _is_ confusing.
    Somewhat counter-intuitively, Albums (but not Smart Albums, which are different creatures in one important way) are always independent of Projects.
    The position of an Album in the Library Inspector is, in terms of your data, meaningless.  You can move any Album anywhere in the Library structure shown in the Library Inspector, and, other than where it is shown to you in the Inspector, nothing is changed.  Album location has no bearing on Album content or on Project content.
    (It may help to quickly review the parts of Aperture and how they inter-relate.)
    As such, even though you may organize the containers in your Library in the Library Inspector so that Albums are shown as children of Projects, they have no relationship to any Project.  (Selecting a Project will not show you the contents of any Albums that are children of that Project.  Moving an Album that is a child of a Project to be a child of another Project in no way changes the contents of either of the Projects or of the Album.  And so on.)
    I emphasize the above so that we can remove "Project" from your question, which becomes simple: how to move (not copy) an Image from one Album to another Album.
    As Ernie has pointed out, this cannot be done in a single action.  (I don't know why.)  You must copy the Image into the second Album, and then remove it from the first Album.
    I find it helpful to have two Browsers open when comparing containers and moving Images.  After selecting on of your Albums, hold down "{Option}" while selected the other one.  You can't drag images between the Browsers, but the container names are easy to find because they are highlighted in the Library Inspector, and you can drag images and drop them on the container name in the Inspector.

  • How do I move images between files within Lightroom 4?

    I find I have to move a good many images among files.  How can I do this within Lightroom 4?  If I have file S, the sending file, with 25 images, how do I send five images from S to R, the recipient file?

  • How do I move image files from my aperture library to an external hard drive?

    I want to free up space on my MacBook Pro by moving most of my image files to a new external hard drive. I want to manage these image files with Aperture as referenced files.  I've read much about importing from external drives, leaving the original image file on the external drive, and managing as a managed reference file.  But but I haven't seen anything in the literature yet that tells me how to free up space on my laptop's drive.

    The screen shot got messed up so its hard to tell what part you're asking about. But if you're asking about this part of the window:
    That's were you setup the folders that the originals will go into and how you want the originals to be named (if you want to change the way they are named)
    The Subfolder format box defines how the subfolders will be named. IN the image above the subfolders will be named by the image date. A folder for the year, a folder under that for the month and then a folder under that for the day. Then finally the original files.
    The name format sets how the originals are named. In the case above they would be named by the version name followed by a sequence number.

  • How do i move images without a "build"

    hello all, i have a problem, i am trying to move an image from the center to the top right corner and scale it, much like the scale build effect, however i dont want it to be a build i still want the image to remain on screen. i will use the build out later. is this possible in keynote??

    Welcome to the discussions!
    The current version of Keynote doesn't have this sort of functionality -- animations either move an object onto a slide, or move it off, but can't move an object from one location to another.

  • How do I move images to an external hard drive?

    Hi Everyone,
    I'm very much a newbie and am having a problem with moving images to an external hard drive.  Do I set up a new external drive and use the Export function to put all my files there, and then delete them from my computer (which is very full!)?  If so, can I be sure that Lightroom will keep track of all the files and keywords?  If I do that, I think my catalog will still live on my computer, but will know the files are on the external.
    The other option I've considered is dragging and dropping everything to the external drive, then using the Import function to let Lightroom bring all the images into its catalog.  I've found information about moving Lightroom to a new computer, but all I really need to do is to offload all my images to the external and leave the program on the laptop.  Any suggestions with step-by-step instructions will be appreciated.

    Make sure all your images/image folders are in one Top Level Folder on your Laptop. If you don't have this structure do it in the Lightroom Library.
    Then connect the external and COPY the Top Level folder to the external using the OS.
    Next right/ctrl click the Top Level folder in the Library and choose Update Folder Location and point to the new location on the external.
    If the files have all been copied successfully you can now trash the Top Level folder from the Laptop using the OS.
    That is what I do when moving files to new disks.
    The Catalog and Previews files stay on the laptop and aren't moved!!
    There are many ways to do this !!

  • How can I move image in a div box on hover?

    I have an image 50 x 1000 (tall/thin)
    The div is 50 x 500
    Now what I need is for the top half of the image to show only when the div is displayed normally, The rest of the image needs to be concealed.
    But when I hover over the said div I need the image to slide up to show the bottom half within the same div.
    I have toyed with clipping and absolute positioning but no joy
    Thanks in advance ofr any feedback.

    I actually updated the code in my post to make the ids into reusable classes, just in case you wanted more than one image, but it looks like you grabbed it before I made the change. Use that newer code with classes and add a wrapper element to contain the now floated <div> slide-containers (the bold parts below)...
    <!doctype html>
    <html lang="en-us">
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Image slides in on hover</title>
    <style>
    #wrapper {
        width:150px;
        margin:0 auto;
    .slide-container {
        position: relative;
        height: 500px;
        float:left;
        width: 50px;
        overflow: hidden;
    .sliding-image {
        position: absolute;
        bottom: -500px;
        -webkit-transition: bottom 500ms; /* half a second to transition, might want to up that to 1s-2s */
        transition: bottom 500ms;
    .sliding-image:hover {
        bottom: 0px;
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="wrapper">
    <div class="slide-container"> <img class="sliding-image" src="your-image1.jpg"> </div>
    <div class="slide-container"> <img class="sliding-image" src="your-image2.jpg"> </div>
    <div class="slide-container"> <img class="sliding-image" src="your-image3.jpg"> </div>
    </div>
    </body>

  • How do I move photo files and keep them connected in Elements 12

    I have filled up the C drive in my PC with about 8,000 photo files.  I have installed a second hard drive in my PC and want to move all of my photo files to what is now drive F.  How do I do this while ensuring that the files remain connected to the thumbnails in Elements 12 when they take up residence on my F drive?

    Even if you have the same folder structure, the organizer will find that the internal serial number of the drive is different and show all files as missing; you'll need to reconnect. That's why the backup and restore method is better. It also recognizes the need to upgrade (convert) the catalog format to the new version of Elements.
    Use Backup, Restore to move catalog | Organizer | Elements 6 or later
