How do I move my iTunes Store account from Canada to the US?

I recently moved from Canada to the US, but when I try to change my iTunes account from Canada to the US, I get an error: "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed." I've followed the instructions over and over, and contacted iTunes Store support, but it keeps happening. I've even de-authorized all the devices I had authorized for the account, and yet that still didn't fix the problem.
This has been going on for three weeks and I'm getting totally exasperated. Apple has been totally unhelpful.
Help?

Adam,
Get in touch with iTunes Customer Service at their web page.
When you write to them, pls follow these guidelines:
Do not refer to the prior interactions.  Explain the problem without emotion.
Make clear that you have already executed the "Change Country" to the USA iTunes Store.
Make clear that you are using a USA-issued credit card with a USA billing address, and that you were physically in the USA when you attempted to use it at the iTunes Store.
Make clear that you have successfully used this same card at other e-commerce sites in the USA.  (If this is not already true, make it true by buying an MP3 for 99 cents at amazon.com)

How do I change my Itunes store account details or change to another country?

If you are now in another country then you will need to update the billing address on your account (and if using a credit card that will need to have been issued by a bank in your new country and be registered to your new address), which you should be able to do via your computer's iTunes (Store > View Account menu option) or by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPad and logging into to it. You won't be able to change countries if you have iTunes Match, outstanding rentals or season passes or have a balance on your account - you will need to contact iTunes Support to get the balance removed : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
If you are getting a 'not in this country' message when trying to download items from the stores on your iPad then yry going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on it and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

There are no company accounts.  The iTunes Store Terms and Conditions state that "(i) You shall be authorized to use iTunes Products only for personal, noncommercial use."

  • HT4137 I have two iPad's that use the same iTunes/store account. I want the two devices to play games with with other, but it recognizes them as the same. I have set up two different iCloud accounts, but still not recognizing the users as different. What

Hello, I have no idea if my question went out, so I'll post it again. I have two iPads (one 3rd gen and one 4th) that use the same iTunes/store account. I want the two devices to game with each other, but the apps recognize them as the same. I have created two different iCloud accounts in an attempt to differentiate between the two, but no luck. How can I continue to use the same iTunes/store account for music and movies, but also have the two devices recognize each other for games?

You can share your iTunes ID and still have separate iCloud accounts with separate IDs, they don't have to be the same.  If you kids don't already have an iCloud account, have them set up separate accounts on their devices using separate IDs.  If they are already sharing your account, migrate their devices to separate accounts.  To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos they wish to keep to ther camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll.  If they are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to them so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in their new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from thier device and won't effect your device), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone (if using iOS 7).  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create their new account and choose Merge to upload the data.  Once everyone is on a separate account you can go to icloud.com from your computer, sign into each account separately and delete your data from their account.

  • How do I combine 2 iTunes store accounts into one library?

I bought a new iMac and I want to combine my iTunes store account with my wife's. How do I move her whole library onto the new iMac and combine it with my existing library and have everything playable for each of our separate users (and for syncing our iPhones) on this machine? Thanks for your help!

so I end up with just ONE iTunes store account that my wife and I share.
You cannot combine iTunes store accounts. iTunes support cannot do this. You can combine purchases and libraries into a single library.
When you make a purchase, the iTunes account info is embedded into the file and this cannot be changed.
Just quit using one of the accounts and both of you use a single iTunes account.

  • TS1368 How can I enable my iTunes Store account ?

I need to enable my iTunes Store account , how can I do that ?

You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • How do I delete an iTunes store account?

I would like to delete a duplicate iTunes store account.  Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

I inadvertently started two iTunes accounts.  I don't want two iTunes accounts.  The older, incorrect iTunes account has my correct email address associated with it.  Therefore, the newer, correct, preferable account CAN'T use this email address.
If I can just delete the older account, then I can use the new account.  Get it?

  • How can I delete my itunes store account

How can I delete my itunes store account

At the moment you can't - just remove any personal info from it (e.g. credit card details) and stop using it. If you purchased any content from Apple with it (music, films, apps etc) then you will need to remember the account id and password in case you ever want authorise it so as to use it on a different computer (or the same computer if, for exampel, you upgrade the OS)

  • Move old iTunes Store account over to new MobileMe account

I currently have two iTunes accounts, one linked to my old Hotmail email and the second one is connected to my MobileMe. At the moment, all purchases done with my iPhone are linked to that Hotmail account, which I'm trying to close down.
Is there a way to copy/move/merge the information in the hotmail account, and switch it over to my MobileMe account?
    Many thanx in advance

First, I don't think simply closing the e-mail account means that you must close the iTunes account. The e-mail address is simply your ID for the iTunes Store account. (And I believe you should be able to change the e-mail address associated with the account so that you still receive receipts, etc. This seems to vary, though. Some users are able to change this while others are not.)
Second, this question has been asked before, and the general response has been that it's not possible. But others have suggested contacting store support. You can reach them here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/. Also...the following link has a question about consolidating Apple IDs. It might prove useful: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE37

  • How do you cancel an itunes store account?

I need some help here. Im trying to cancel my itunes store account as I don't use it anymore but keep getting charged a $1 weekly fee. I know its only $1 a week, but it's still a waste. I cant find a link anywhere to cancel the account so any help would be great.
    cheers

You do not get charged anything unless you make a purchase in the iTunes store.
When you first create your account, there is a $1 hold (not a charge) placed on the account, which is used to simply verify the credit card account. This is released, usually within 24 hrs.

  • How come you need an iTunes Store account to get album art?

I have no problem with this, because I do have an account. But on my sister's computer, she can't get album art because she doesn't have an iTunes Store account. Mainly because you need a credit card to set one up, and she's only 10. She just uses iTunes to burn her CD's to play on her iPod, she's only 10, why does she need an account to get album art?

I don't think any of us can definitively answer this one since it is decided by somebody like iTunes marketing. However, Apple is a for-profit corporation. The album artwork download is definitely a service for customers, and maybe a free perk to potential customers. If you have that account you are just one tiny click away from making a purchase and don't even have time to have second thoughts that you might have if you had to enter a credit card number each time. Kind of like a store offering something free inside to get you to walk through the door.

  • How can I make an iTunes/Store account without giving my credit card?

    Hi everyone,
We recently decided to start giving out iPhones at work on our company cell plan to employees.
Along with this, we're using one of the AppStore apps to do user tracking/maintenance on the phone, and I was curious if there was any way to make the Apple IDs/Appstore accounts without giving a credit card number to verify the account.
We don't want to have everyone use their own credit cards, nor do we want to use the company cards to register, in case someone gets crazy and starts buying paid apps.
Is there any way around this?

All of those choices (from what I can see) still involve using a credit card at some point to make the Store account.
Is there a way to not use a credit card?
    The articel entitled:"

Describes exactly how to make an account without a credit card.  DO as the articles says.

  • How do I terminate an iTunes Store account?

Is there no way to terminate an account?
Since credit card infomration is mandatory there really should be a way to terminate an account.

Accounts cannot be terminated. They need to remain active so purchased songs can be re-authorized in the future.
If you are concerned about your credit card information being kept, you can log into your account and either remove the credit card information or change it to bogus values.
