How do I move my us ipod to canada?

One of the members of our iTunes account will be moving to Canada.  We have had the experience of relatives buying iTunes gift cards for our children and having them not work on our US iTunes account.  Can she still sync her US iPod in Canada?  Does she have to move out of our itunes account in addition to moving out of our house?  If she needs to move her iPod into a new account, how does she do that?

- You can only purchases items form the iTunes/App stores from the country's store when the iPod is located. Also, the account, including the payment method must be associated with that account. A gift card can only be used in the country's store in which it was purchased.
- To make a purchase/update an app, the person in Canada will have to use the Canada stores and the account will have to changed to reflect Canadian locations and payment method. To use in USA, the account will have to be changed back.
- The Canadian person should created anew account.

  • How do you move songs from ipod to itunes?

I have songs on my ipod that are not in itunes (only the title appears in the library). How do I move the song so I can play it in itunes too? Thanks!

Did you move them rename them or anything on the PC? If so this will make ! marks beside the songs and you need to help iTUnes locate these files again.
If you deleted the files yourself, then you can copy songs off the ipod by first setting it to "Manual update" then using third party software like yamipod http://www.yamipod.com to copy songs off the ipod

  • How do you move photos from iPod to new computer?

Just got a new computer with Windows 7 (I think) after using an old (really old) one. All my photos are on my iPod and the FAQ says they can be moved from it to the new computer if I enabled disk use (which I did). But it doesn't say how to actually move them. Can anybody help?

1.Turn on your computer. Close any applications that might slow the photo transfer.
2.Connect your iPod to your computer with the cord that came with your iPod. Make sure you have turned on the iPod.
3.Open iTunes. Wait for iTunes to register that your iPod is connected. If the screen does not register that a connection, disconnect the iPod and try again.
4.Click on the "Photos" tab below your iPod on iTunes. Look through the photos stored on your iPod.
5.Drag photos from the photos folder on your iPod to the desktop. You may also drag these pictures to a photo editing application, like Photoshop or Photosmart. Move any other images from your iPod to your computer.

  • How do I move music from iPOD to iTunes music library

How do you move music that was once on your iTunes music library that is now ONLY on your iPOD back to the music library. I want to do this so that I can burn a CD. Maybe there is an easier way??? Please help!

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • How to stream movies from an ipod nano 7th gen

I just bought an iPod nano 7th gen and I own an Apple TV and a lightning connector  to hdmi cable. Is there a way to put movies from my iPod on my tv

The 6th gen nano could not play videos, so it certainly could not stream them to a TV.  It may have been able to show photo slideshows on a TV screen.
The 5th gen nano (plus 3rd and 4th gen) may have had the ability, but I don't think its output was HDMI.  You could use this
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC748ZM/A/apple-composite-av-cable
to output a composite (non-digital) signal to a TV.  But the new nano has a Lightning connector, so I probably won't work (even if you use an adapter).

  • Desktop crashed - How do I move songs from ipod to new library?

I've downloaded the new version of iTunes to my laptop. But when I hook up my ipod, it says that songs can't be transfered because there is another library that they belong to. I have also authorized the laptop but I still can't transfer songs. What am i doing wrong?

Connect your iPod to your computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. • How do i move music off ipod app on the iphone3 onto my computer without losing it!?

i have been given an iphone 3 i want to update the ios or something but cant do that without using itunes. but if i snyc etc with itunes apparently the music that is on the iphone will dissappear and the music on the itunes will replace it. i dont want to lose the music that is on the ipod i want to move it onto a computer.

If any of the music on the iPhone was purchased from the iTunes Store, iTunes includes an option for transferring the music to your iTunes library but you must authorize your computer with the person's Apple ID and password with iTunes that purchased the music.
There are some 3rd party utilities that provide for transferring music from an iPhone that was not purchased from the iTunes Store.

  • How to put movies on a ipod video (mac computer)

Hi everyone i am new to the wonderful wold of mac's and ipods. I just picked one up yesterday and would like to put my own movies on it. I did a quick search but it looks like most people are using pc for there ipod. Can someone give me detailed instructions on putting a dvd onto my ipod using a mac.

Well let me give you an example i used handbrake last night to take the movie "Full Metal Jacket" and put it onto my ipod. I changed a couple of settings on handbrake and i just want to know if they are what i should of changed. I changed the screen resolution to 320x240 and the bitrate kbps to 750. Than i tried to play the movie but my it said quicktime could not read the file, or something to that effect. I than put it into my itunes library and hit the button to convert for ipod...only took a min or 2 to convert it, and than it went onto my ipod with out a problem. but the file size if i remember correctly the file size was almost 699mb. That is kind of large. Just in comparison, i never use limewire but i wanted to check it out so i downloaded stewie griffin: the untold story. It was on there already in mpeg 4 format for the ipod and that movie is like an hour and a half long and the file size was only 196mb, and it sounds and looks great...can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong...
    Thanks

  • How do I move playlists in ipod to itunes library

I am trying to move playlists from my ipod to my itunes library on my new computer. I am specifically trying to find a way to move the entire playlist-- intact-- not just random songs, if possible. I realize there have been many answers posted to this question in the past but it appears that many of the answers are not up-to-date anymore for the latest itunes software and ipod hardware. Thanks for your help in advance!

I asked because a playlist is ONLY a list of songs.
A playlist itself does not contain any songs.
To get the music off your iPod and onto your computer go to http://www.thelittleappfactory.com/software/ipodripwin.php or www.yamipod.com.
