How do i move open web pages back to the first page

When 'i go on the internet and after a while I have alot of web pages open, when using my pointer(mouse) and press the back arrow to go to previous pages, I am not able to use that function. So , what I wind up doing is closing Safari completely and openng another window and the frustrationprocess is repeated again and again.

First, make sure you menu bar is visible:
Hold down the key and press the following letters in this exact order: V T M
From the menu bar, go to View -> Toolbars -> Customize. In the dialog that appears, choose the '''Restore Default Set''' button.
If that fails, use [[Safe Mode]], and when you see the Safe Mode dialog, choose the option to ''Reset toolbars and controls''.

How do I get back to the first page of an application when I'm in the middle of it?

I'm sure there's an easy answer for this, but I can't find it. If I'm in the middle of an application, say iBook, and I want to get back to the first page of that application, how do I do it? When I tap on HOME, I go back to the home page with all the icons. I want to go to another page within the application I'm in? The shelves should show the ibooks that you've got in the app i.e. your downloaded purchases from the iBookstore. At the top of the shelves there should also be a Store button (for browsing, purchasing, re-downloading books from the iBookstore), and Collections (where any PDFs that you've synced/copied into the app go).

A reboot should be enough to make it work.
Just restart your computer.
Otherwise, make sure you're an administrator - as if you're not, it could be that the administrator put a restiction.

When I open Firefox again, it says:

Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page.
You can try:
Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem
Starting an entirely new browsing session

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

If you open the Pages panel, (Window>Pages) you will see thumbnails of your master pages and your document pages. In new documents, there is usually a master called A-Master and one called None. If you drag the thumbnail of the None master onto the thumbnail of a document page, it will apply that master to that page. Presumably, you have made your page numbers on A-Master, so this will usually do the trick. If you have elements on A-Master that you need on the first page, but just not the page number, you can duplicate A-Master (which, by default will give you B-Master, but you can change the names if you like) and remove the page number on the duplicate and apply that to the document page.
It might also be worth noting that you can apply master pages in the fly-out of the Pages panel. Go to the fly-out triangle and go down to Apply Master to Pages…, then select a master to apply and the range of pages (1-8 will give you all 8, 1, 3, 5, 7 will be the odds, 1-3, 4, 6-8 if you want continuous ranges and individual pages).

Why does the Mac App Store default back to the first page of results?

When I search in the MAS for any app and there are more than one page of results, while I am browsing pages 2 and up when I select an app to look at and go back to the search results (either by swiping on my trackpad OR clicking the back button) the list of pages defaults to the first page of results. Is this a bug or is there some setting somewhere that I can change to make it work right??

You could log a feature request with Apple via the bugreport tool, if you have access to that tool.

How do you number pages but start the numbering on the second page, while omitting the page number from the first page (my title page)

I have recently changed from Word to Pages 5.5. I want to create a document with a title page (no number) and the second page as Page 1. It is quite simple to do in Word, but I cannot find a way to do it in Pages.

Insert a section break
Place cursor in the newly created section (page)
     In the Document panel:
select Insert page number: 1.
Under Numbering, select start at: 1
                 It starts numbering from number 1 in the new page (2nd page).
Now place the cursor in the previous page (Ist page).
Select Hide on first page section.
                 This hides page number in the first page of the document.

It seems the focus sometimes goes to the main page because your main page is getting submitted. To prevent the main page from being submitted, try using the following for your Button's onClick property:
var f = function() {window.open('http://ibanky.com/board'); return false;}; return f();

My company recently loaded foxfire and I cannot have two applications open in foxfire, the second page overlays the first and I cannot go back to the previous page or reduce the first page to view the first.

My pages in Foxfore are overlaying one another which is normal but you cannot get back to the previous page. An example is if I have a page opened in a program and open something totally different it replaces the first page and I cannot reduce the size to see the first page I was viewing nor go back to it. I did open a page with audio and opened another application in foxfire and the replacing went on as usual but the audio continued to play so the page is stinn there. Also the tool bar page showing icon is replaced with the newly opened page not an additional page opened being shown as a tab. It's like the newest page or site I open in Foxfire replaces the one that is currently opened.

Stupid question but how do I get my mac web page to extend the first page?

sorry about the ignorance... i'm sure it will be simple. but I want to have a long page rather than many seperate ones on my opening web page, and I don't seem to be able to extend one.... it just goes to the end of the first page and stops. and I want to be able to just navigate down for a 'longer page' if you see what I mean. is there a trick?

Hi,
The length of the page adjusts itself to the length of the main textbox on that page. Thus while you write the page the length will adjust itself.
However it's not recommended to make such a long page due to loading times especially if there is a big amount of graphics.
