How do I not show image file name, only url link - Acrobat Pro 9
Both file name and url ink show when placing cursor over image. I want to only have url link appear.
And if that's not possible, I want to then change the image file name. Any ideas?
Use a button field for the link. You will have to add the action or JS code to open the link.

VCs in Web: not showing (same file name)
Virual copies with the same file name don't show up when creating web pages. How can you show variations of the same image (ie, color and B&W) with this nameing issue?
Thanks!
ReidAre you sure you are selecting them properly. To include VCs in a Web Site you need to select all the ones you want individually. Selecting the Master one in a closed stack (which may or amy not be the original) does not select all of the stack. TO select all or some of the stack it must be open by pressing 's' or by clicking at the side of the stack to open the stack.
If you then make your selections they will appear in the Web Template.
At the top of the Metadata section on the right in Library, under the Filename is where you can provide individual naming for the VCs.
Hope this helps,

File Save dialog box not showing correct file name while saving file
hi
Currently, after the Submit button is hit, the File Save dialog box is displayed. If the user saves the file and then opens it then the output appears correct however if the user chooses to open the file without saving on the local machine then the correct viewer is not used to display the file. The name of the file is defaulted as qotSCopPrint.jsp and the default file viewer for jsp files is chosen to view the file. The format of the file is obviously not text (it is either pdf or rtf) so the output shows binary characters.data : v_repid like sy-repid.
parameters : p_file like rlgrap-filename.

Itunes 11 does not show the file name or libray name at the top of the application.
I have multiple devices I synch on 1 computer. I have multiple libraries to do this, and press the shift key while clicking on iTunes to get the library up that i want. In iTunes 10, the name of the file/library (I am not sure which) was displayed at the top of the screen. I cannot find that anywhere on iTunes 11. When i am synching multiple devices, i want to make sure i have the right library for the right device pulled up.
Is there any option i can't find, or any way to ensure that i don't synch the wrong device? Of course, i have the warning set if more than 5% of the data changes, but this seems like a pretty simple thing, and a pretty big miss for Apple if they took this away.
Thoughts would be much appreciated...Shaun Bromley wrote:

There are no duplicate items.
If you want to listen to a song on your iPhone and also on your iPod, you have to have a copy in each library.
You just tick sync all songs in each library then tick/untick each song as necessary for each library.
I never uncheck anything.
I just add/delete from a playlist and sync.
How the **** do we now know which library we are in???
You know which **** library you are in because it is the one you **** well opened.
If you only use one library, there is no wondering which library you are using.
Any way, good luck! -
Auditon 3.0 not showing active file names in upper left
I am running Audition 3.0 on a BRAND NEW HP Envy running Windows 8.1 For the last month AA 3.0 has been working
fantastic until just this morning when I opened a file and it appeared on my timeline just fine.
BUT, the name of the file did not appear on the upper left hand portion of the screen - nothing, nada, blank.
Below is the screen shot showing my audio file, but NOTHING in the left hand dock...
This is causing a TREMENDOUS slowdown, need to get this fixed...any solutions???
KevinLooks like the viewing of audio files in the panel was accidentally toggled off. Click the waveform button at the lower-left corner of the panel to turn it back on (directly underneath 'Sort by')

How do I get the library file name for a linked icon?
Hello,
Using AW 7.02
I have a couple of library files, one contains graphics, the
other audio. I am using a dive routine to run through the icons in
the a7p file and if it is a sound icon that is "linked", I want to
make sure that it is linked to the audio library file.
What I am having a problem with is obtaining the linked
filename.
Is there an icon property that contains the linked info? I
believe that there is, as when I right click on a sound icon which
is linked to a library file, I noticed that I could select Library
Links... from the pop up menu, and I found the following data:
Library Link Name:1.3.1s
Linked To:1.3.1s
In Library:lessonAudio.a7l <<<----This is what I am
interested in getting (if it is lessonGraphics.a7l then I want to
warn the developer)
A little test that I did with one audio icon in the flow line
just prior to the calc contents below:
T_Str := GetIconContents(IconPrev(IconID)) --
produced:[[#type:#linkedIcon, #iconID:262168]]
if T_Str[1, #type] = #linkedIcon then
T_Str1 := GetIconContents(T_Str[1,#iconID]) --
produced:[[#type:#sound, #filename:"", #storage:#internal,
#format:"MP3"]]
else
T_Str1 := "Otherwise, something else."
end if
#filename above appears not to be the place to look as it may
contain the actual pathname to the mp3 file, IF that info is still
available.
FYI, The audio in the library file is NOT linked externally.
Thanks
MikeYou can figure this out mathematically. ((Library number + 1)
* 65536) + 7
will be the first icon number in the library. You can also
use
GetLibraryInfo which gives you information on the libraries
including the
root icon of each. So your icon 262168 will be in the 3rd
library returned
from GetLibraryInfo()

Greetings,
In a generated project, created in the RH8, when the user hovers over an image, the file name displays. I checked the image properties and Screen Tip text field is empty.
How can I prevent the image file name from displaying in the generated project?
ThanksHi there
When you examine the generated code what do you see? Is there a Title attribute or an Alt attribute? You didn't say what the output type was. Is it WebHelp? If so, did you enable Section 508 options when you generated? (Part of being Section 508 compliant is giving images corresponding names)
Cheers... Rick

How can I assign image file name from Main() class
I am trying to create library class which will be accessed and used by different applications (with different image files to be assigned). So, what image file to call should be determined by and in the Main class.
Here is the Main class
import org.me.lib.MyJNIWindowClass;
public class Main {
public Main() {
public static void main(String[] args) {
MyJNIWindowClass mw = new MyJNIWindowClass();
mw.s = "clock.gif";
And here is the library class
package org.me.lib;
public class MyJNIWindowClass {
public String s;
ImageIcon image = new ImageIcon("C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator/Desktop/" + s);
public MyJNIWindowClass() {
JLabel jl = new JLabel(image);
JFrame jf = new JFrame();
jf.add(jl);
jf.setVisible(true);
jf.pack();
I do understand that when I am making reference from main() method to MyJNIWindowClass() s first initialized to null and that is why clock could not be seen but how can I assign image file name from Main() class for library class without creating reference to Main() from MyJNIWindowClass()? As I said, I want this library class being accessed from different applications (means different Main() classes).
Thank you.Your problem is one of timing. Consider this simple example.
public class Example {
public String s;
private String message = "Hello, " + s;
public String toString() {
return message;
public static void main(String[] args) {
Example ex = new Example();
ex.s = "world";
System.out.println(ex.toString());
}When this code is executed, the following happens in order:
1. new Example() is executed, causing an object to constructed. In particular:
2. field s is given value null (since no value is explicitly assigned.
3. field message is given value "Hello, null"
4. Back in method main, field s is now given value "world", but that
doesn't change message.
5. Finally, "Hello, null" is output.
The following fixes the above example:
public class Example {
private String message;
public Example(String name) {
message = "Hello, " + name;
public String toString() {
return message;
public static void main(String[] args) {
Example ex = new Example("world");
System.out.println(ex.toString());

CS6 Links Window Shows jpeg file name but not tiff or psd file name
So I have a question, I noticed that in CS5 and CS6 that when i place a jpeg file in Illustrator, the file name does appear in the links window, but when i place a tiff or a psd file there is no file name in the links window, this drives me nuts. Is there a way to see the files name of placed psd and tiffs in the links window?
Here's my thoughts...
1. You are a bit confused and I wonder how you can determine a file is a PSD or a TIF by looking at it? Not all print drivers can recognize PSD's, but can recognize TIF ( this means almost all output devices can interpret TIF's no problem ). That said, PSD's can manage layers better than TIF's which add to file size each layer you include in the TIF.
2. Never say never. This all depends on the file's use. Layered TIFs can add complexity in which a print driver can or cannot deal with. As you work on an image, you may want to merge layers for whatever reason(s) and you always have the option to flatten whenever you feel like it. However, It is also a good idea to dupe the file as you move along. That means you always have a layered version to fall back on should you need to edit later on. I also Place transparent PSDs in Illustrator files with no problems. But, I save as EPS in Illustrator and when I do that, then the file is automatically flattened. This is perhaps what the internet was talking about.
3. Yes, see number 2 above. There's no such thing as automatic flattening of TIFFs. Again, this all depends on the printer and whether or not it can print while retaining original layers. Some do, some don't. Most of the time, I edit in PSD with layers intact. Then, when I prep the file for printing, I will save a copy as a flattened TIFF so the file streamlines through the RIP and Print process.
4. Makes no difference. Use 'em if you've got 'em.
Try to get some good resource material at a library or college bookstore or barnes & noble. Also, get Adobe's Print Publishing Guide. This is a good reference guide.

How do I call image file names from MySQL & display the image?
Hello everyone,
I have image file names (not the full URL) stored in a MySQL database. The MySQL database is part of MAMP 1.7 and I am using Dreamweaver CS3 on a Mac Book Pro.
I would like to create a catalog page using thumbnails, and PayPal buttons displayed within a table, in rows. With the image centered and the PayPal button directly underneath the image.
How do I use PHP to call the thumbnail images as an image not the file name, to be displayed in the table?
Thanks in advance.slam38 wrote:

Open the Insert Image dialog box in the normal way, and navigate to the folder that contains the images. Then copy to your clipboard the value in the URL field, and click the Data Sources button. The following screenshot was taken in the Windows version, but the only difference is that Data Sources is a radio button at the top of the dialog box in Windows. It's a button at the bottom in the Mac:
After selecting Data Sources, select the image field from the approriate recordset. Then put your cursor in the URL field and paste in the path that you copied to your clipboard earlier. -

How to find original image file names in Reader?
How do I display the original file names of digital images in Reader? I am using Reader 8. In previous versions I used the "Picture Tasks" button in the menu bar to open various dialog boxs that showed the original file names. I am a photographer and clients often order prints using original camera file names. Currently I have to tediously match images between my image browser and Reader placing them side by side. Would be so helpful to display in Reader the original file names. Help anyone? THanks in advance.
Command-D provides info on the PDF itself but nothing on the image files' metadata. I create PDF docs inside Php CS4 if this is any help. If there is a way in Reader to display all image files' original file names simultaneously please clue me in.
