  • Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition...

The update server is not responding. I'm attempting to build a deployment package for Captivate. I get this error after the Updates screen.
We are behind a proxy. I suspect that is the issue. Is there a way to manually enter the proxy information via some config file so that AAMEE knows how to connect?

June 3rd 2014, I am seeing this. I am unable to reach Adobe server while packaging up Design and Web CS6. I have confirmed with Networking its not a firewall issue. Even stranger, our PC's are able to connect to the servers and update and download CC trials.
We are using Casper and an internal software update server for Adobe. Does anyone have any advice?

  • What is the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition (AAMEE)?

The Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition is a configuration application designed to package Creative Suite applications as MSI on Windows and PKG for Mac for silent deployment to multiple end user machines. Featuring an easy-to-use interface, it allows IT specialists to automatically enter and validate volume serial numbers over the internet prior to installation, choose which applications are installed, disable automatic updates, and turn off manual registration.

  • Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition.. May 28?

So, May 28 came & went, yet there's no more information about the AAMEE today than there was last week. Anyone have any insight as to why it's not available yet?

It IS awesome...but for one item. Acrobat Pro 9.3. Since the LWS downloads do not contain Acrobat Pro...it has to be manually copied to the machines.
At this point, I have to activate manually using a stand-alone serial even though the suites (ProdPrem excluded) come with Acrobat Pro 9.3.
App Manager cannot package Acrobat Pro according to Adobe's ReadMe. I just started today with trying to overcome this limitation....Since the Acrobat 9.3 DL is just a Copy and Paste install....I can copy to the machines using Apple Remote Desktop on my server. The issue is serialization.
So Adobe makes one massive step forward allowing admins to create a pkg of all the suites and Master Collection using AppManager deployable from Apple Remote Desktop...that part is awesome. The big step backwards is the Acrobat install.

  • Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition - No updates listed

    Hi All,
After installing AAMEE, when I try to find updates to download, nothing is listed. I am on a domain server using a proxy supplied by the local council so would need the web address or IP address of where the software is trying to contact to then send it to be unblocked perhaps. No errors appear however when I install it on a PC with unrestrictedinternet access it works fine.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    James

  • Need to Prevent Adobe Application Manager for upgrading to Creative Cloud

I have successfully packaged Dreamweaver CS5&CS5.5 via Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition v2.1 and after a successfully deployed via SCCM Dreamweaver runs perfect. Unfortunatly upon the first launch of the icon on the desktop of "Adobe Application Manager" it's self upgrading to Creative Cloud.  This is a problem.  In this enterprise deployment I have updates set to manual and my AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat is set to the below which should be preventing this to my understanding <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Preferences> <Suppressed>1</Suppressed> </Preferences>

Thank you for getting back to me, currently my work around
is to have the deployment delete the two “Adobe Application Manager.lnk”
icons from both the desktop and the start menu for each OS version.  Not
exactly how I would like to have to do it however my
“AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat” does not seem to block Adobe Application
    Manager from updating.

  • Adobe Application Manager and DPS Tools 2.0.3 Update

    Hello,
I am using Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition 3.1 in order to push the CS6 Suite and Updates to our computer systems. It has so far been working great, with one exception: The DPS Tools 2.0.3 Update does not show up in the updater engine on the Mac version of the software. When I attempted to download manually and create the the .pkg to push it through Apple Remote Desktop, the manual package creation gives an error message stating that this update is not compatible with the installation.
On the Windows version of this tool, the update shows up and I have been able to deploy the update.
I need to deploy this update to the Mac systems, and need to get an answer on how to create the pkg file from the dmg that is downloadable from the adobe Downloads or how to allow the update to be seen from this tool on the Mac Version.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
    - Chuck Crabtree

    Chuck,
Unfortunately it lookslike AAMEE deployments are blocked on iOS due to an AIR installation issue We've opened a bug on our end to try and work around that installation issue. It's too late for it to make it into the v23 release, but we'll look at it for v24.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention,
    Neil

  • Problems with TCS3, Adobe Application Manager, and Acrobat X

I have to deploy Technical Communications Suite 3 to a group of 20 people with a volume license key.  In order to avoid giving 20 people in the company a volume key, I'm using the Adobe Application Manager to build a distributable silent installer for this delivery.  The problem is that when you use the Adobe Application  Manager to create the build, Adobe Acrobat Professional X (which is part of the package) is not an installable option, nor is it actually installed as seen in the attached screenshot
However, if I just launch the installer by double-clicking Set-up.exe from the downloaded media directory, I do get the option to add Acrobat X.
Finally, if I drill into the installation media folder, "...\Adobe Technical Communication Suite 3\payloads\AcrobatProfessional10.0-EFG" there is a .msi which is for Acrobat X, but when launched, the product key I was provided for Technical Communications Suite 3 does not work.  The key works just fine to install the entire suite, but not Acrobat X by itself.
Has anyone else had any luck creating a silent install for TCS3?  I called support and reproduced the problem for them, but they had no answer.
Just for the record, I have found this exact same behavior with all the Adobe Suites which are supposed to get Acrobat.

This is true that Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition currently does not support silently deploying Acrobat alongwith TCS3. However, you do not need a separate license key for Acrobat.
Pls follow the below mentioned steps to silently install TCS 3 with Acrobat:
    1) Uninstall TCS3 (including Acrobat) from your machine, if already present. Make sure all products are uninstalled succesfully.
    2) Create a serialized package for TCS 3 using the AAMEE tool
    3) Run the silent installation command for TCS3
    4) Goto the Exceptions folder inside the TCS 3 package and open ExceptionInfo.txt. This has information of all the products that this package will not install. Look for the command to install Acrobat X Pro. For your reference, I am mentioning it here,
    msiexec.exe /i AcroPro.msi EULA_ACCEPT=NO REGISTRATION_SUPPRESS=YES SUITEMODE=1 TRANSFORMS=en_US.mst INSTALLLEVEL=101 AS_DISABLE_LEGACY_COLOR=1 IGNOREAAM=1 /qn
    5) Install Acrobat silently using this command
    6) Launch any product installed through TCS ( FrameMaker or RoboHelp) and verify that its activated (Help->Deactivate menu should be enabled)
    7) Now launch Acrobat. You will see that Acrobat automatically picks up TCS 3 license present in the machine and gets serialized. You do not need any other serial number.
    Hope that helps,
    Anchal

  • My updates are failing.  Adobe application manager may be damaged.  I have downloaded and installed a new copy and the problem persists.   Please help.

I am trying to update Photoshop CS6 in order to read my camera's RAW files.  It is a camera that is supported by Adobe Photoshop CS6.  However, when I try to get the Adobe Application Manager to update the software, it fails to do so.  (The spinning wheel tells me it is checking for updates and then quits, saying that "Update Failed - Updates could not be applied.  Adobe Application Manager may be damaged.  Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application Manager.")
I have tried to reinstall the Adobe Application Manager 8.0, which gives me the following error message "We've encountered the following issues.  Installer failed to initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."  However, when I go to the link provided to download the Adobe Support Advisor, this piece of software NO LONGER EXISTS. "
The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued
The Adobe Support Advisor tool was used to analyze installer log and system information associated with installation errors. The tool has been replaced with improved installation support mechanisms. Please visit Adobe Support section for Knowledge base articles around Installation."
So, I have gone to the forums and took the recommended step to update my software manually - getting the update Photoshop_CS6_13_0_6upd-2.dmg.  However, this update also fails stating that my Adobe Application Manager may be damages.  Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application Manager.  Which puts me right back where I started.
I have also taken the step of completely reinstalling Photoshop CS6.  This did not solve the problems outlined above.
    Please help!

  • LR3 and camera raw and adobe application manager

    Hi all,
I have LR3 and can't for the life of me find out in the documentation or on the website whether or not
    1. LR3 uses camera raw
    2. if it does, whether it gets installed automatically with LR3
    3. where it might get installed
    4. if necessary, how you have to install the upgrade (I get "adobe application manager required" error message, can't find that on the website either)
    HELP PLEASE!!
    Cheers, Bob

Although ACR (app) may not be necessary when using LR3, it is needed when you use services in Photoshop - such as "merge to panorama", or HDR. I'm constantly getting an error the latest ACR is not installed. WIth the release of ACR 6.2, I'm trying again and when I try to install it I get an error "Application Manager needed to update your product" then:
Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem, however it is missing or damaged. Download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from Adobe.com, or install this product again.
The link (http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager)  to the page is incorrect and returns a 404 error.
    Helpful.
I'm not albe to locate a link to download a copy of the Adobe Application Manager. Anyone know where that is?
So, I still can't install ACR because of this issue. Although this doesn't seem to be a LR issue specifically, accessing ACR from LR3 is significant to some of us.
    Suggestions welcome, and appreciated.

  • Rror message "Adobe Application Manager is needed ......."

Getting error message "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem, however it is missing or damaged. Download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager or install this product again".  I am using CS5.  The only patch I can find is for the CC version.  Will this work for my older version?  Any suggestions for how to solve this are greatly appreciated.

The Adobe Application Manager is not used or needed for CS5.  I suspect you have installed something in error and got your adobe apps confused.  Can you gives some history?  What steps/issues led to this situation?
Also what operating system are you using?

  • Adobe application manager needed for CS5

I just d/l and installed 3 updates for AI, ID, PS from the Adobe site. The update application isn't working. After d/l and trying to install Adobe Bridge 5.02 twice, I've gotten the same error message:
Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem, however it is missing or damaged. Download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager or install this product again.
It must have been working to do the other updates. I just d/l the Applications Manager for CC, which says it works for CS5, but to only run if I get one of 2 error messages:
Adobe Application Manager is needed to update your product.
Adobe Application Manager is needed to start your trial.
My error message is different but to me, implies the same thing. Should I install it?
    I'm on a mac 10.9
    thank you

Thank you for the response Jeff. I had just installed the Adobe software on a brand new computer that had just had a clean install done by Apple less than 48 hours earlier. I don't use Adobe Cloud or any of the online services. The Adobe Updater appeared after I opened ID for the first time.
"The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications."
Does this mean that there were some prerelease installation files on my CDs? This just doesn't make sense to me unless it's possible that something traveled with a document from my previous computer. I never had any trouble with CS4 and CS5 existing together before.
Does this change your thinking at all?
    Thank you!
