How do i Only burning certain parts of songs to disc (like a mix)?

I just want to burn like 45 seconds of a song to a disc (for a basketball warm up mix) and i can't figure out how to do it.

Thanks for your help, I would never have had any idea how to do it myself. After experimenting with your information, I found the order was - R click song, Get Info, Options, Choose start/stop time for the bit you want, tick boxes, Click OK, then create New Playlist from File, Drag and Drop the song into the new playlist, play the song from the New Playlist and it should work.

Could you explain more in detail what you want, because I don't understand it. You want the user to answer all questions, but the score should only show what? If you don't want some questions to have a score added to the Quiz total, you can indicate that in the Properties of that Question slide.
And please, tell the exact number (3 versions of 6), and also if you have to report to a LMS?

You use Image Capture (in your Applications Folder) for that job - or upgrade to a later iPhoto.

The iTunes-only way is: figure out where you want your excerpt to begin and end. Right-click the track, Get Info, Options tab, set the Start/Stop times accordingly, and OK out. Right-click again, and choose Create XXX version (where XXX is the format indicated in your Import settings). Right-click one more time, and unset the Start/Stop times.
This procedure will leave the full track in place, and will create a new file and library entry with just your excerpt.

Three basic steps to get you started:
You set the tempo and Rhythm when creating your project:
Launch GarageBand and and select "New Project" from the panel: Pick a suitable template, for example "Song Writing":
Then, in the next panel that opens "New Project from Template" select a folder and a name to store the project and set the basic parameters: Song key, tempo, signature; for example for a song in C-major, 4/4, 100 beats per minute set it like this.
If you later want to speed up the song or slow it down, use the LED display at the bottom of the window. Click on the leftmost icon to change it to show the metronom for "Project View" like this. Then you can change the basic settings:

Ignore iPhoto's initial 'ready to import...' screen. Instead, choose File > Import to Library. There you'll get a navigation dialog. If your camera mounts on the Desktop like an external drive (it appears in the left column of a Finder window, below your Hard Drive) then you can navigate to the camera, preview the files, and select only the ones you wish to import.
If your camera does not mount on the Desktop (most Canons don't) then you can mount the card by using a USB card reader.
Or, use the multi-step method where you launch Image Capture, "Download Some" to a Desktop folder, import into iPhoto, and delete the Desktop folder. This method allows you to browse the files on your camera even if it doesn't mount on the Desktop.
A general Mac technique that works in the Finder, iPhoto, and many apps:
Shift-click to select a contiguous range of items;
Command-click to select or deselect discontiguous items.
About Image Capture: Command-click works if your put the window in 'List' view.

How to install only Garageband from OS 10.6 install discs?

Hi. I recently got a new Mac with OS 10.6.2. It came with the iLife Apps installed.For reasons I won't get into ......I had to try to install the older iMovie 08 (which I believe had some sound files connected to Garageband).After attempting that install.....I noticed that garageband had dissappeared.......the icon both in the dock and in applications had dissappeared.
So I believe I need to reinstall Garageband.........but not sure if its on install disc 1 or 2 and how I install only Garageband and not the other iApps? Thanks for any help.

Unable to burn certain AAC protected songs

Hi everyone,
I am having trouble burning some of my music. I was trying to burn a playlist/make an audio cd containing protected AAC audio files. For some reason iTunes decided not burn several of the songs on the playlist. I then created a new playlist containing only those songs that didn't burn properly and tried to burn another audio cd. iTunes will not even attempt to burn these songs.
Why would iTunes burn some protected AAC audio files and not others?

Have you been able to get those tracks to burn yet? I have the same problem - about 30 songs won't burn. I don't even get an error message.

Operating System Installed: Windows 7 Enterprise (64bit)
I work at a K-12 school and purchased the HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225dn Printer (CE712A) for use in our computer lab. I would like to know if it is possible to have it so that only certain users can print in color (possibly put a password on it). I know the cost for color is higher, and therefore, would like it so that students have to approve through teacher if they want to print in color.
We are running it on our Print Server (networked) not through USB.

In my corporate networks, we are talking about hundreds of laser printers and the ONLY thing we can do: only allow people access to a set of mono laser printers, not all printers. For example, the following printer is using B&W as default but can't stop users to print in colors if they could access to the resourse:

How can I only have certain calendars in notification center?

So I received an iPad 2 for Christmas (I know a step behind but I'm not complaining) and for the most part it is AWESOME! I synced everything fairly easily and if I had any trouble I could find a solution online in mere minutes. What I have discovered though is that my all my shared calendars show in the notification center. I use google calendar and I will not be switching to another. I like it. I utilize shared calendars so my family and friends stay connected but I don't want to see all 6 shared calendars events in my notification center. At this point this feature is pretty useless to me. I also have an issue with my one calendar not showing certain things in notification center. It is 1pm now and my 3pm-2am event is not showing in there. If there is a way to fix all this please let me know. If not now can I report a request to apple to express my desire to have those functionalities? :)

i dont want every photo i take to be uploaded to photo stream. often times i take photos until i get exactly what i want, so alot of my photos are deleted useless. how do i simply upload the ones i want to backup?

You have no control over this, other than to delete the photos you don't want from your photo stream. New photos are all automatically pushed to your photo stream whenever you device is connected to wifi with the camera app closed and has at least 20% battery life remaining.
Perhaps more importantly, you can't use iCloud to back up your photos. Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, and if you delete them from your phone, they are also deleted from iCloud. Camera roll photos are included in your iCloud backup, but if you delete the photos from your phone, then continue to back it up, the backup containing the deleted photos will be overwritten by a backup that doesn't, and they will be lost.
To keep your camera roll photos, import them to your computer using your usb cable, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. If you need to back up photo stream photos that aren't in your camera roll, save them to the camera roll by tapping Edit (Select in iOS 7), tap the photos, tap Share (the share icon in iOS 7), then tap Save to Camera Roll. Then they can be imported to your computer as well.
