How do I open a Classic file? running OSX on MacBook Pro

I've got a tax file that was made using Quicken 2003 and when I try and open it up the message is
"You can't open the application QuickTax Deluxe 2001 because the Classic environment is no longer supported.
There isn't any extension on the file.
Is there any hope of opening this?

The problem lies in that the application was written way, way back, for a long gone family of computer processors. Previous versions of Mac OS X had emulators that allowed the ancient code to run, but those have been dropped in the newest versions of OS X.
Solutions can be:
If Quicken 2003 can run on your current system, use its File/Open dialog to open the desired file. The current mapping indicates that the system thinks the file belongs to Quicken Tax 2001 instead.
Open in an older system capable of running the ancient application.
Checking with Quicken in order to upgrade the product to a more recent version.

Wirth an iOS device you have to first go to the app that has the item you want to attach. When in that app you then select the email option for sharing. You can't start from the Mail app.

What browser are you using? I know that FireFox 4 beta 7/8 had a problem. Make sure if you are, update to the non-beta version.

DESPERATE:I had over 400 music iTunes purchased music files on my iMac G5 PowerPC which died. No problem, I thought, "I'll just restore from my external hard drive that I have been backing up too periodically" - apparently it's also dead - will not mount at all to my MacBook Pro (it's a Lacie). So I paid $130.00 this week to have a computer repair shop take the hard drive out of the old dead iMac and put it in an enclosure so I could do a data transfer from it to my MacBook Pro.
Wasted money. There is NOTHING showing in my user "Music" or "Photos" folders on the old hard drive...so now what are my options? Is there ANY way to get back the hundreds of $$ I've spent buying music from iTunes for past 6 years?? geez...

Word Processing documents can be opened directly in Pages 4 (AppleWorks 6 only) but this is no longer available - the newPages 5 (Mavericks required) does not open AppleWorks documents. Panergy Software's docXConverter v3.2 ($19.95) can convert Appleworks 5 and 6 Word Processing documents to RTF (though it has been reported that it can only handle documents which contain only text, not those which include images or frames). The latest version of the free LibreOffice has announced that it can open AppleWorks 6 Word Processing documents and an ability to open ClarisWorks documents has been reported: it does appear to be able to handle at least some embedded images.
Draw Documents can be opened directly only in EazyDraw (the more expensive version from their website, not the cheaper one from the Mac App Store, and you will need v4.0 'Retro' not the most recent version) or Intaglio (though this appears not to be able to handle very complex drawings). I think it is simpler than that: place DVD in computer and then try to run a video from the disk. It will not run using Safari, but I know it runs in Firefox which I have on the computer.
I believe that I can depress one of the moifier keys while clicking an item on the application menu bar to open a menu where you can open the dvd using Firefox or another application.
