How do I open a previously published site that is on .Mac to my new iWeb?

I have a site published on .Mac that I did on my old Mac which had the previous version of iWeb. I just bought a new Mac with iWeb '08 and I can't figure out how to get it to synch with my published site.
Anyone figure this out?

I hate to tell you this, but I asked Apple technical support that very question when the iWeb update Killed my domain file. Which, to be absolutely fair, I did NOT have backed up. I could have saved myself a ton of grief if I had backed up before I updated. TONS!
I asked if there was someway to take my perfectly good site from dot mac and put it in iWeb. He indicated that it was not possible, the only route is to use your old site as a "guide" and build it from scratch.
I'd love to be proven wrong on this one!
Best of luck!

What system and iWeb versions are you running? What happens when you double click on the iWeb application when trying to launch it?

How do you open a Microsoft Publisher (.pub) file using inDesign?

    You don't.
To get some semblance of the original content into Indesign, you could export the Pub file to PDF, then use PDF2ID, (probably a free trial available out there), to convert the PDF.

SO the past 4 days safari (6.0 on OS X mountain lion 10.8.1) hasn't  been loading/opening some of the sites that I try to go on, for ex.: YouTube, Yahoo ect. However, sites like Facebook, tumblr, twitter, google ect work, so what's the problem?
extra info, I have a mid 2012 MBP, I upgraded to mt. lion in september, so I don't think mt. lion is the problem, but something REAL wacky is going on! Is the flash or java or do i need to delete cookies(what would happen if i delete the cookies)?  I have no extenstions by the way .
    PLEASE, HELP ME SMART PEOPLE!!!
    Thankyou! ~~~

It is likely that your subscription has been upgraded to Photoshop CS6.  If you are still facing difficulties then please install from https://creative.adobe.com/.  You can find details on how to install at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4396277#4396277?tstart=0.

  • How do i open an Appleworks file now that I am running Mavericks and Pages?

How do I open an Appleworks file now that I am running Mavericks and Pages?

Word Processing documents can be opened directly in Pages 4 (AppleWorks 6 only) but this is no longer available - the newPages 5 (Mavericks required) does not open AppleWorks documents. Panergy Software's docXConverter v3.2 ($19.95) can convert Appleworks 5 and 6 Word Processing documents to RTF (though it has been reported that it can only handle documents which contain only text, not those which include images or frames). The latest version of the free LibreOffice has announced that it can open AppleWorks 6 Word Processing documents and an ability to open ClarisWorks documents has been reported: it does appear to be able to handle at least some embedded images.
Draw Documents can be opened directly only in EazyDraw (the more expensive version from their website, not the cheaper one from the Mac App Store, and you will need v4.0 'Retro' not the most recent version) or Intaglio (though this appears not to be able to handle very complex drawings). LibreOffice will open simple Draw documents but I found it very unreliable with complex ones.
Spreadsheets can be opened directly only in the older versions of  Numbers - the new version for Mavericks will not do this. The old version is no longer available.
Presentations can be opened directly only in the older versions Keynote; again, the new version for Mavericks will not do this. The old version is no longer available.
To use other programs, or open Database documents at all, you must export from AppleWorks first, which means you need a way to run it.
If you have upgraded to Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks and have AppleWorks documents you cannot open, then you should be able to install Snow Leopard on an external hard disk and start from that (provided that the Mac did not come with anything higher than Snow Leopard originally installed); and success has been reported in running Snow Leopard Server under emulation in Parallels - the method is described here: Snow Leopard Server is available in the Apple Store (by telephone) at a reduced price (at the time of writing) and is preferable to using ordinary Snow Leopard which is quite tricky. I haven't tried this myself: use at your own discretion. You can then run AppleWorks as an emergency measure.

    ChrisJ4203,
Thank you for the help.  Every app on my phone was downloaded using my old I-tunes ID.  I just hope that they will re-download under my new ID because I still can't change it on my phone.  In order to change to the new ID it says I have to sign out from the old ID and change to the new one.  My problem is that I don't remember my password to be able to sign out from my old ID.  Then the phone says it can change my password through e-mail and I  agree but I never get an e-mail at my old address or the new one.

  • Creating web sites that don't suck with Aperture and iWeb

My goal was to create a web site that combined a few pages created in iWeb with Aperture web galleries. For something that should be trivial, it's actually rather difficult.

Only the LA gallery at the top uses the Aperture style; the others are legacy galleries. One thing at a time.

  • HT2486 HOw do I transfer contact numbers and email address from my Mac to my new iphone?

How do I transfer contact numbers and email address from my Mac to my new iphone?

Connect your iPhone 4S to your Mac using the iPhone’s USB cable, and then use iTunes to transfer your contacts from to the iPhone. (An alternate way is to use iCloud.)
I’m not sure what you mean by “transferring email address” from the Mac to the iPhone. But if you mean you want to access your email from the Mac and the iPhone, the best way is to configure your email account over IMAP in Mail on both devices.

  • Opening a previously created site

Can anyone tell me how I can open a site, previously created in iweb, for editing?

"iWeb stores everything in a Domain file, normally located in the +~/Library/Application Support/iWeb+ folder (although it can be moved). If you no longer have this file, you can view your currently published pages and manually recreate them within iWeb, but there is no way to import published pages back into iWeb. You can manually back up the Domain file, or use Backup to back it up."
