I have some pictures scanned and saved in my computer. How do I open one of them in Firefox?
I'm trying to design a book cover and need to open a picture in Firefox to know whether it is an RGB?
Can you instruct me how to do this. please?
Thank you.

As what file type are those scanned pictures saved?
You should be able to open them in Firefox via File > Open File if it are JPG images.<br />
If the scanner saved them in a special proprietary format then you need to convert them to JPG with the scanner software.

You can't upload the PDF but you can link to a PDF. This blog post on How to upload a PDF file to Facebook explains an easy way to do this using either Acrobat or the free Reader.

  • HT201317 how do I open to view pictures that were stored in my icloud?

How do I open and view old pics that I hope are stored in my icloud?

    Hello Shannon,
Your Photo Stream photos can be viewed from your Photos App.
How do I view My Photo Stream?
On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, your photos will appear in the Photo Stream view in the Photos app. If you're using iOS 6 or later, you can find your photos by tapping the Photo Stream tab and then tapping the My Photo Stream album. In iOS 5, your photos are in the Photo Stream album.
On your Mac, they appear in the Photo Stream view in iPhoto or Aperture. In iPhoto 9.4 or later or in Aperture 3.4 or later, open the My Photo Stream album in the Photo Stream view.
On a PC using Windows 8, from the Start screen, select Photo Stream. On a PC using Windows 7 or VIsta, click theWindows Start button, and then Pictures. Click Photo Stream under the Favorites menu in the panel on the left. Double-click My Photo Stream to view your photos.
On Apple TV, after signing in with your iCloud account, you can view your photos by choosing Photo Stream from the main menu (or selecting Internet > Photo Stream in Apple TV Software Update 5.0).

  • How do i open a new tab in firefox 6.01? the + symbol has disappeared

how do open a new tab in firefox 6.01? the + symbol has disappeared - the tab grouping stuff is not intuitive

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar.
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button that shows as a plus sign (+) from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions.
If you can't find the New Tab button then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the Customize window.<br />
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible space to the left of it.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

  • How can we open a new instance of Firefox without URL bar and any other control (except PREV, NEXT and RELOAD)?

    Dear Volunteers,
I am looking for a solution for Firefox Win App and Mobile Apps where on click of a button from the website page, we should be able to launch a new instance of firefox instance (like a popup box) with following features:
    a. It SHOULD NOT have any URL bar to display.
    b. It SHOULD NOT show any plug-ins or any other functionality except Previous, Next and Reload.
    c. This instance of firefox should always be on-top of all other application.
Please advise, how firefox can be customized to offer in all platforms by default.
With lot of hope from this volunteer community,
    Rajiv

You would need your visitors to install some kind of add-on, since web pages do not have permission to block the display of the page address and users do not need to allow a new window to be modal and block other Firefox windows, much less other OS windows.
Over the years, people have developed extensions for kiosk-style displays. You could investigate those for ideas.

  • How do I open a .nrl extension in firefox, currently it returns a string of text instead of opening the file with the default program.

When I click on a .nrl file extension (belongs to Autonomy I-Manage Software) it returns a string of code (what is in the shortcut link) instead of following the link and returning the document. Is there a way to tell Forefox connect to the document that the shortcut is linked to? The .nrl file extension belongs to a piece of software called FileSite (document management system).

'''Adding download actions''' is the relevant section of that article for your situation.
Is the *.nrl file on a website or already saved to your PC?
If it is on a website, the server may not be sending the appropriate Mime-Type telling Firefox how that file is to be handled - ''"Content-Disposition"''.
Can you give us the URL of the webpage where you have this problem? <br />
So we can see first hand what the issue is.

  • How do I open a compressed file in Firefox?

I have zip files in my downloads on Firefox but can't open them. These are music files already paid for.
I just can't figure it out. Can anyone help?
    thanks
    DFAL

It shouldn't be a problem to open ZIP archives in Windows Explorer with a double-click or via the right-click context menu, just like you would open a normal folder.
You can find "Open containing folder" and Open in the right-click context menu of an item in the Download Manager (Download button on Navigation Toolbar: Show All Downloads)
Firefox manages downloads in the Downloads folder in the Library (History > Show All History)
*Downloads are treated as history items: clearing history removes included download items and vice verse.
*When downloads are in progress you see an animated download button on the Navigation Toolbar showing an estimate of the remaining time
*The Download button gets a green highlight once all download are finished to make you aware that new downloads are available.
*Pause and Resume can be found in the right-click context menu of an item.
You can display the new Download Manager in a tab by opening the about:downloads page and consider to open this page in a separate window.

  • How do I open a png file using firefox with windows 7

In Windows XP I could save an image in the png format then open it using firefox, copy and paste it into an excel spreadsheet. However I can't do this in Windows 7. Has anybody else encountered this problem and found a solution?
    Kind regards

    Hi there,
Could you describe your workflow and what happens? If you mean that double-clicking on a .png file in a normal folder (Explorer) window doesn't launch it in Firefox, which application is launched when you click it? If you want to make Firefox the default application to handle .png files, you need to change these settings in Windows 7. Unfortunately I don't have it myself (running a Mac here) so I don't remember the exact instructions. But I'm sure you could right-click on a .png file and select "Open With..." and from there manually pick Firefox. Try that and see if you get the results you want!
    Cheers,
    David

  • How do I open the bookmarks sidebar in firefox 7?

I can't seem to find where I can open a sidebar to view my bookmarks and browsing history without opening a separate window. I know in the older version of firefox I could just click view>sidebar and that's what the help instructions say to do, but that info doesn't show anything about opening a sidebar with the latest version of firefox because there is no "view" option, or at least none that I can see!

You can hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu Bar, which has the View menu. Or you can use '''{ Ctrl + B }''' to open ''(and close)'' the Bookmarks Sidebar.

  • How can I open up multiple copies of Firefox - as I used to do on old computer?

I have a new computer and downloaded Firefox 28.0 I need to have several copies of Firefox open at once when working on projects. Using tabs is totally unacceptable because I can only see one piece of information at a time. I know nothing about programming, so please do not tell me to do anything related to that. Is the best solution to delete the new version and go back to older ones?

You can right-click any link and choose Open In New Window, or you can hold down the Shift key while you left-click the link.<br>
If you want to open a new window, press Ctrl+N.<br>
You can also customize the toolbars and add a "New Window" button.

If you want to always use windows instead of tabs, install either Tab Utilities Lite or Tab Utilities (not both).
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tab-utilities-lite/
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tab-utilities/
    # Opens the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A), then the Extensions category.
    # Click the Options button next to the Tab Utilities (Lite) entry.
    # Click the Tab Opening tab.
    # Clear all the checkboxes under "Open new tabs for".
    # Set both options under "Open links in" to "New Window".
