I do not know how to open a muse template in adobe muse.Can I know the basic steps of it.

You can open only .muse file in Muse. If the template is in .muse format, simply double click it and if Muse is installed on your machine, the file will itself open in Muse.

Muse can open .muse files only. Sites downloaded to your hardrive as HTML cannot be imported to Muse. Pages need to be designed in Muse in order to be saved as a Muse project that you can always publish to the web.

Hey tgtoast.
I don't think this is possible in Muse, however, if you're at all comfortable editing your HTML file, then you can add the tags after they're uploaded to your host.
Just log into your host and through file manager, find your index.html file. Open it for editing.
Anywhere between the <head> and </head> tags, enter the following code:
<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.yourdomain.com/imagename.jpg" />
Then you should go to the Facebook Debugger https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug and enter your website URL to make sure Facebook is showing the image you want.

How do you make a template from muse to the bc?

I was told to just add a tag_content (in brackets) to a page rather than the A-master page and upload it to bc. Support said that bc would recognize it and put the page into the template folder.. that didnt happen for me.. All i had was a new page with the text tag_content in brackets displayed.. pls help.

when i press the lock to unlock it, it asks me for the password and than showes it as unlocked.
but even after that, it wont let me change any prefrences or setting.

Hi Steve,
Simply unzip the downloaded template. Then in Muse in the file menu at the top select open site. Then browse to the .muse file from the download.

That is becuase Pages 5.1 has numerous unnounced surprises for the unwary user. Among the surprises:
- it strips out images from headers and footers without warning
- it strips out bookmarks without wanring (yes, all those bookamrks you laboriously put into a document: poof! Gone.)
- it strips out alternating left/right margins, without warning.
There are many more suprises, as you'll see from glancing through these discussions. They fall into two main categories: things that are present in version 4.3 but that are missing in 5.1, things like
-mail merge
-meaningful Applescript/Services support
-non-contiguous text selection
-ability to set defaul zoom
-ability to see comments while editing
-ability to print comments
-ability to read RTF files
-ability to drag in hyperlinked ted from a browser
These about about 90 other features are gone.
Then there are the bugs. Hyperlinks do not reliably export to a PDF file any longer. There have been multiple problems with printing report. Some fonts place stray characters in the headers. Many reports of the program crashing, courrupting files, etc.
Fortunately for you, the previous version of Pages is still on your system. Export any documents you may have created or edited with Pages 5.1 (another great surprise: files created with version 5.1 cannot be read by any previous version of Pages: not just 4.3 but even 5.01!). Then trash 5.1 and use 4.3 until (unless?) it is stable and has a reasonably robust feature set.

How do you open a new document from the template chooser?

Since upgrading to Yosemite, I can't find the option to open a new document from the template chooser. When I type in "template" in the help box it shows it under "file" But when I click on "File" I don't see that option.
Basically, I'm trying to ask how do you access the templates in the new pages?

Check your preferences and make sure Show Template Chooser is selected:

How to open a Template when Pages is already open

I have just copied and pasted some text into a blank pages document. I want to convert this doc. to a letter head that I made a template for.
I would like to open the template, then copy/paste the first doc info into the template doc.
I haven't been able to figure out how to open a template when a document is already open.

I did set the preferences to New Documents> Use Template: Blank, to stop endlessly having to choose a template when I don't need one.
When I pull down File, there is no New from Template Chooser. File>New just opens another blank file.
To check, I went back and enabled "Show Template Chooser". Now it demands I choose a template whether I want to or not.
OK, it seems Apple is forcing you into either/or. I want both/and. I don't want to be forced to choose a template when 99% of the time I don't want anything but a blank file. It is a nuisance. But the occasional time I am composing something and decide it would be better off as a universal doc with letter head, I am stuck and cannot choose open a template so I can stick the material in it.
The options are lousy. Close/save the doc, reset the preferences to templates, shut down Pages, restart pages, select template, open old doc, copy/past old text into new template. Or, while the original doc is open the first time, I could go find a stored doc with the right letter head template, open it, copy/paste the previous text into the letter head doc (and delete everything else).
Neither of these options is worth a wooden nickel. Apple needs to think this one through again. Like have multiiple buttons with View on it, doing different things. At least they got rid of using the paragraph symbol for two or three different functions.

Right click on a template and choose Get Info. Find the "Open with" section, and change it to Word. Click Change All if you want all templates to be opened in Word by default.

How to open Excel Template save it under a different name and then write and save data to it at regualar intervals

I have an excel template that I have created. I am opening that template, saving it under a different name, and then writing and saving data to that excel sheet at regular intervals. It is giving me an error 5, I understand what this means and I am trying to work around it. However after too many hours spent trying to figure it out, I have asked for any help or input. I have attached an example vi, not the actual one since it is very involved.

This snippet encapsulates most of the previous suggestions, and adds a few of my own.
The first code shows one (simplified) way of building the output file name. It incorporates the Build Path function to combine Report File Path with the file name (don't need initial "\"), builds the File Name with Format into String, getting the Time part of the name from Format Date/Time String. I also use Build Path to get the Template path. Inside the For Loop, another Format into String gets the data that is placed in the 10 Excel cells. We don't write anything yet -- we're only filling in the cells in the WorkSheet (think of how you use Excel -- you could, but probably don't, save the WorkBook after every cell entry, you wait until you are all done and then do a Save, followed by closing Excel). Finally, when we are done, we save the file using the output name we want to use, then close Excel (which disposes of the Report Object). If we want to generate another report, with another (time-based) name, we can put this code into a sub-VI and simply call it again.
Don't worry if you don't have LabVIEW 2014 (which was used to save this snippet) -- most of the code comes from the original that you posted, so it should be a pretty simple edit to change that code to match this.

When you export it asks you for a domain name, enter a domain name like ASedlacek.com for example (the sitemap etc. are created as per the domain name you enter while exporting), and then export to a location of your choice in your computer's hard drive. You should get the result in a folder named "MuseExport" and the contents should look something like this: http://jingsite.businesscatalyst.com/jing/2013-03-27_0027.png
