How do I open jpg attachments on my iPad2?

I am getting email messages showing up with a paperclip in my "in" box, but there is no visible attachment to the message. How do I retrieve the jpg file and view it?

you shouldn't have to, it should appear in the body when you read the mail.
if not, scroll to the bottom of the mail in the body and it may appear as an attachment you can click/touch on to open.

Anyway to open .jpg attachments in the Gmail on IPad 3?

winmail.dat files usually mean that the email has been sent in 'rich text format' - you could ask the person who sent it to you to send it a different format (e.g. plain text or HTML) or there are a few apps in the app store that support it (search the store for 'winmail.dat')

  • How can I open email attachments in Pages?

I am unable to open email attachments such as Word docs and PDFs in Pages. If I select them I get "open in mover lite." Until recently, when I selected them I could open in iBooks but that is no longer an option for me. I am not sure iBooks would help anyway!

    according to MS KB article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278061
That file is made when someone is using Rich text format and attaches a file. Have them switch to either HTML or plain text and reatatch the file and you should see the proper attachments.

  • How can i Open mail attachments in a separate Window

Who knows how I can open attachments from mails like PDF and so on in a new window so that I just see he attachment not the email text and the attachment?
    Mercy

if you're using the iPad's mail application just tap on the attachment and it should open up in a new window with the attachment shown full screen. if you're using a web site to view you're email it's up to the particular site though if you do a long press you may get an option to open the file in a separate window
    Really hope that helps

  • How do i open email attachments

I've seen this question unanswered on here many times - really need an answer. How do I open my email attachments in Firefox? Are there settings somewhere? I have Power Point in my computer but it isn't working with Firefox like it did with IE. Been looking all over for instructions but haven't found any yet. Please help.

Attachments do open immediately via my yahoo mail.
Really - now that's interesting because that is one of my pet peeves with my Yahoo Mail (accessed via browser): I have to download the attachments, they refuse to open within the message window. Especially one friend who likes to send 50 photos at once and I'd rather take a look before deciding which ones (if any) to download. Can't do it - can download one at a time, but it is still a download.....

  • How can I open all attachments in mail at once?

I use Mail to collect messages from the IMAP server rather than logging in through my university's webmail interface.  I often get mail messages with many attachments that all need to be opened at once (example: an admissions application that has 7 or 8 components for me to review).  Clicking on each of them separately is a pain, particularly since I have repetitive strain issues, and the various applications needed to open the attachments (Word and Adobe Reader for example) want to grab focus after every click, forcing me to keep switching programs.
Is there any way I can tell Mail to just open all attachments to a message at once?

    Try:
Select the attachments you want to open. (Use click, shift click, command click, as usual.)  Control-click on (one of) the selected attachments. Then select "Open Selected Attachments".

  • How do I open jpg files in camera raw?

I have read in numerous articles that I can open jpg files in ACR from within Elements 11. They all state to go File>Open, then browse to the jpg you wish to open, select Camera Raw from the file type and select the jpg. When I select the Camera Raw file type then all the jpg images disappear in the selection area or if I click the jpg first and then select Camera Raw and open then it says file not found. Am I doing this wrong or are the articles I am reading incorrect?

    Hi Majortipper,
In Elements 11 go to File menu >> open as .
It will open a file open dialog where you have a "format" drop-down instead of format menu.
In Elemens 12 this "open as" is replaced with "Open in camera raw"

  • How do I open pdf attachments without subscribing?

I updated Adobe reader for Android and now I cannot open pdf attachments without getting a screen that asks me to subscribe for $9.99 a month.  I looked at the comments on the Google play store and Adobe said that you could use your back arrow to get away from the subscription screen but that is not true.  In addition, it said to clear defaults in the program but there were no defaults there to clear when I went to that screen.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program with no success.  I still cannot get away from that subscribe screen.  As many others are doing, I opened the file with a different program. I am really annoyed by all of this. Can anyone help?

    Hi,
Adobe Reader is still a free app for reading, annotating and form filling PDF documents.
From your post it seems you are trying to open a non PDF document. With the latest update we have provided an optional paid service to the users to convert the non PDF documents to PDF documents and view them in Adobe Reader.
Please go through our blog post http://blogs.adobe.com/readermobile/2013/11/21/adobe-reader-for-android-clarifications-on- paid-services/
    to resolve your queries.
If you still have concerns feel free to get back to us.

    Welcome to the discussions!
The fact that it worked, but it doesn't anymore means something has happened to interrupt this procedure.Remember if there was an update or something done that will explain it. As for the workaround I always saved as .RTF to avoid such troubles and it hasn't (yet) failed me.

  • How can I open email attachments from an Exchange server?

When I am at home and accessing emails on my business email address I have to go through a Microsoft Exchange server. I can read the emails but whenever I try to open or download an attachment, I get the message: "To open this attachment, you must save it to your disk. Right-click the link, and then click Save.
