How do I open the program PS 5,5 after I have downloaded and installed it (on Mac)?

I have downloaded and installed Photoshop extended on my Mac today, but I cannot open the program, what more do I have to do?

Hi Anina,
The .dmg file is the original installation package.
Do you remember the software going through the installation process and asking you to input a serial number?
I would suggest moving the .dmg file to your desktop, and then initiate the installation process by clicking on the install.app.
You should get a message that the installation is successful once it completes. Try launching the application after that.
Please reply to this thread if that doesn't work.
Thanks
