How do I organise photos in my shared photo stream (public web link)

I have created a shared photo stream as a public web link and sent the link to some peopls to view it. I intend adding photos to it over time, for them to see.
When I (or they) look at the photostream via the web site link, the photos have automatically been arranged, ordered and cropped in not necessaroily the way I would want. Is there a way I can change the layout that these photos are presented in ?
Thanks for any ideas.

You are welcome!
That is a shame that we can't change the layout. Oh well!
I am hoping for future improvements You may want to send a feature request to Apple - the more, the merrier!

What about number of days. How long is a photo stored in shared photo stream? 30 days?
Also, do photos in a photo stream (shared or personal) get backed up on a pc if the icloud panel is there?

I've adapted this from a function on my blog. you will need to add set the YourTicketTable to where ever your tickets are stored.
CREATE
FUNCTION [dbo].[CalcWorkDaysBetween](@StartDate
As DateTime,@EndDate
AS DateTime)
RETURNS
INT AS
BEGIN
SET @EndDate
=DATEADD(DAY,1,@EndDate)
DECLARE @Count
AS Int= 0
DECLARE @Date
As Date=@StartDate
WHILE @Date
< @EndDate
BEGIN
IF (DATEPART(WEEKDAY,@Date)IN(1,7)
OR (SELECT
Count(*)
FROM YourTicketTable WHERE TicketDate=@Date)=1)
BEGIN
SELECT @Count = @Count
+ 1
END
SELECT @Date=DATEADD(Day,
1,@Date)
END
RETURN
DATEDIFF(DAY,@StartDate,@EndDate)- @Count
END

How do I see the other subscribers photos on a shared photo stream on iPad Air? I can see everyone on mac book pro, but not ipad. I can only see myself and the owner. Please help.

Hello there, missjanellez.
The following link from the online iCloud Help menu provides some practical information in regards to shared stream functionality:
Manage Subscribers to your shared streams.
http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7bfa
On an iOS 7 device
In the Photos app, tap Shared at the bottom of the screen, then tap Streams at the top of the screen.
Tap the shared stream whose subscribers you want to manage, then tap People. The Activity stream doesn’t have subscribers.
Do any of the following:
To invite more people, tap Invite People, enter email addresses or tap the Add button to select from your contacts, then tap Add.
To remove a subscriber, tap the subscriber, then tap Remove Subscriber.
To choose whether subscribers can add photos and videos, tap Subscribers Can Post.
If the subscriber list doesn’t include Invite People, you don’t own the shared stream.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Pedro

• HT4528 how can you select 1 photo from a shared photo stream and save it to your HD

Can you select a single photo from a shared photo stream that some had sent me as I want to save and print the family photo?

• HT201077 Can I share all my photos with my wife without having to constantly add photos to the shared photo stream?

My family has an imac where we have a family photo library in iphoto. The iphoto library is under my wife's profile. My wife and I each have an iphone 4S. I'd like all the photos my wife and I take on our iphones to automatically upload to the iphoto library on my wife's imac account. I've tried a few different ways of doing this and none of them are ideal.
My current solution works, but has some unwanted side effects. Currently, my wife and I use the same main icloud account on our iphones. This would be the perfect solution if it didn't take up the same icloud storage (among other issues).
It'd be nice if you could have 2 photo streams linked to the same iphoto library on a mac. This way both my wife's photo stream and my photo stream would downloand to the same iphoto library. It doesn't appear that iphoto for mac allows this.
I realize I could do this the old fashioned way (outside of photo stream). But, it seems as though there should be a solution that works automatically.
Could there be a solution creating a shared photo stream on my iphone and sharing this photo stream with my wife? I've looked into this but can't see how it would work automatically. It looks like you have to manually add photos to a shared photo stream. I'd like the shared photo stream to update itself to include all photos I take.
Does anybody have a simple solution for this problem?

There is not (yet) an easy solution to use an an iPhoto library with two separate My Photo streams.
It might be easier to take the family photo library out of your wife's account and move it to a shared location, so boh of you can maintain it, see:
iPhoto: Sharing libraries among multiple users
This way, both of you could download automatically to My Photo Straem and your private iPhoto Libary, remove the worst pictures, and then export only the best shots to the shared library. This will make the shared library smaller and at the same time create a backup of the best pictures, and it will ensure that your family will never see a potentially embarrassing photo. Sharing My Photo Stream is really dangerous, because each and any picture you take will be added the PhotoStream, before you can delete it.
As you may have seen at Apple's WWDC keynote presentation the new MacOS X Maverick will bring more sharing options for Photo Streams: Watch the keynote
You may want to wait for the next software generation before doing any major reorgansition.

No. At the present time, only the person creating the shared photo stream can add or delete photos.

• HT5903 Are photos stored in Shared Photo Streams in full quality?

Does anyone know whether photos uploaded to Shared Photo Streams are stored in full (original) quality?
I'm interested to know whether Photo Streams can be relied upon for backing up photo collections (i.e. they can be downloaded again in original quality in case of loss from the computer/phone/iPad they were taken with), or whether it is only really for sharing.
Thanks

No. Not for shared streams

My photo stream keeps photos at full quality in the cloud, although it only syncs lower resolution photos to an iOS device, but full resolution to your computer.

• Send portfolio how to customize adobe welcome screen for shared porfolio. (Opening the link forces the recipient to a downright ugly irrelevant and dead advertisement rather a related cover page)

send portfolio- how to customize adobe welcome screen for shared porfolio ?(Opening the link forces the recipient to a downright ugly irrelevant and dead advertisement (appropriately titled "branding logo.png) rather a related cover page)

Hi nedler1,
Please try the following steps to display the cover sheet and replace it with custom one:
How to change a portfolio’s initial view setting to show the cover sheet (and hide the contents):
Open a PDF portfolio and run the following JS in the console:
this.collection.initialView = 'Hidden';
Save the portfolio, close and re-open.
The cover sheet will now be displayed when opening the portfolio.
Updating the cover sheet
Also, most likely if you want the coversheet displayed when opening the portfolio, and do not want the default cover sheet:
Here are the steps to replace the default cover sheet:
Open the Portfolio.
Perform a View > Portfolio > cover sheet to open the cover sheet.
Open the Pages panel for the cover sheet.
Right click on the cover sheet page in the pages panel, select “Replace Pages”.
Replace the cover sheet page with the desired cover from a page in another pdf.
Save the portfolio.

Rave

• Need help getting photos from a shared photo stream in iCloud

I received several invites to several shared photo streams from the same person. Some of them worked fine. Others said "from unknown" and don't show up, even though they are all from the same person. What do I do?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you delete photos from a shared photo stream they are removed everywhere, however if the other party has already copied the photo to one of their own albums, you can't delete that.

• HT201317 Who can add photos to a shared Photos Stream?

I shared a Photo Stream with family & friends and successfully shared photos with them. Can they add photos to my Photo Stream too? Or am I the only one that can add/delete photos from my Photo Stream?

As mentioned in your other post, the ability for others to add photos to a shared photo stream is coming in iOS 7.

• How long do photos last in shared photo streams?

I was wondering how long photos will stay in shared photo streams. Do these fall under the same rules are regular photo streams or will they stay there until I delete them?
I'd love to use this as a photo storage site versus Facebook!

I finally found an article on the Apple site that says "You can share as many photos as you like with Shared Photo Streams. They don't count against your iCloud storage and aren't removed from iCloud until you delete them."

• How do I remove or unsubscribe a shared photo stream?

Not sure how I remove a shared photo stream (not the pix themselves) or even unsubscribe from one I accepted.
The good ol' swipe to the left to make a delete button appear apparently doesn't work.

I too am pulling my hair out with this. Online searches have turned up no info and I have tried everything. I thought I would test out shared photo streams right after I updated to iOS6 so I set up a couple of different ones between me and my partners iPhones I have now removed all the pics but am stuck with the empty shared folders!! ***? I have tried everything nothing works. Even if I turn off shared phot streams in settings then turn it back on they come back. Fix this please Apple

• How do I save videos from a shared photo stream to my photo stream

my friend

Hi Gtorres7,
If you are looking for more information on saving videos from Shared Photo Streams, you may find the following article helpful:
Can photos and videos be saved or downloaded from a shared photo stream?
Yes. After photos are shared, anyone who can view the shared stream can download and keep them permanently. Videos can only be downloaded to a Mac or PC. On an iOS device, videos are streamed from iCloud and can't be downloaded.
On a compatible iOS device, you can save photos to the Camera Roll.
In iPhoto or Aperture for Mac, you can add or copy shared photos or videos to your Library.
On a Windows PC, you can copy photos and videos from a shared photo stream to any folder.
On the web, you can download photos and videos directly to your computer from the detail view of each photo or video.

• Only One Photo in a Shared Photo Stream is Displayed

I have a persistent yet simple problem with iCloud Shared Photo Streams. Either when I am sent an invitation for a Shared Photo Stream or create one myself the Shared PS properly appears in the iPhoto Photo Stream window and when I hover over the icon the correct number of photos contained is shown. If I double-click to open the window ONLY one photo appears - always the first photo in the stream. I am never able to view the whole content of the stream on my iMac - although the streams appear correctly on my iPad, my iPhone, another iMac and on the machines of friends I send stream invites to. I have tried many things: quit iPhoto and restart, restart the machine, delete all iLife prefs in the Library, delete iLifeAssetManagement in Library>Application Support, change Libraries, started from a different User, updated iPhoto several times, a complete restore and reinstall of the OS, saying prayers to the iLife gods and crossing my fingers. None of this has helped. It seems clear to me that my problem is not with my iMac, nor with my OS, nor really with iPhoto itself - but involves the interaction of iPhoto library files with iCloud. Having said that, I have no idea how to proceed next. Any thought would be welcome.

Thanks for the thought, Larry - but I have turned off all iCloud on all devices and - oops, but wait. I've done that - but I haven't then rebooted them all. I'll try that tomorrow morning. In the meantime, here's one more small clue. When this first happens I get a crash file in ~Library/Preferences named com.apple.iLifeAssetManagdement.crash.plist. It's too cryptic for me but it says:
