I am trying to uninstall Photoshop Elements 8, because I have installed Photoshop Elements 12. I keep getting the above error message and the uninstall fails to complete.

I have replaced my system hard disk drive on a Mac Pro and used Mac 'Restore' to restore the complete system from a Time Machine backup. Everything else works correctly, except my current Adobe products (InDesign CS4 and Photoshop CS4) both give a licensing error code 150:30 and each suggest contacting Adobe technical support.

How do I overcome an error "files in use Reader *" when attempting to download Reader 10.1.4? Reader 8 not in use, but is installed. All I want to do is upgrade to 10.1.4. Why do I get sudn an error anyway?

Make sure no AcroRd32.exe process is running when you run the installer. Easiest way:
download the cleaner tool http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and save it to disk
download the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and save it to disk
restart Windows, then run the cleaner tool, followed by the installer, before doing anything else
P.S. the latest Reader X version is 10.1.8.

If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:
Mac: Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.
Windows:
Choose Start > Run.
In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.
In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.
In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.
Your authorization will be deleted.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.

The question for me becomes what motivation do I (Apple's customer) have to download Autoruns from Windows, open a compressed folder, try to determine which Winsock Provider is mine, check for updates and then run whatever it is I need to run to fix this. I managed to do step 3, but I got two errors when I tried to create a new phase listener in order to return custom life cycle.
The errors are:
-Error(8,27): method createPageLifecycle() in class view.MyADFPhaseListener cannot override method createPageLifecycle() in class oracle.adf.controller.faces.lifecycle.ADFPhaseListener with different return type, was class oracle.adf.controller.v2.lifecycle.PageLifecycle
-Error(9,20): incompatible types; found: class view.MyFacesPageLifecycle, required: class oracle.adf.controller.lifecycle.PageLifecycle
