Hi I bougth a Lenovo Idea Pad S6000L, I set up a password for it and restarted it.
I tried to enter to password to log in but the sysytem says it is wrong
How can I restore the machie to factory mode?

Two problems with yash2710's suggestion:
1) He's suggesting a PC password cracker for someone using an Android tablet.
2) The OP may be a legitmate user who's forgotten his password, or he may have stolen someone's tablet and is trying to circumvent the real owner's password. Let Lenovo Support determine if he's legit or not and help him if he is.

Thanks Brian. It looks like the Apple Configurator app will reset settings and account info. I will look into third party apps as well. It needs to be as simple and quick as possible as we would be doing it daily to many ATVs.

My tablet has been reasonably unstable from day 1, even pre-installed apps like ebuddy force close, I have tried removing and reinstalling the app but it still force closes immediately. I also have a heap of other apps that force close on my tablet but run fine on colleagues tablets (4 of us bought them together)
How do I do a complete factory reset on this thing, I don't want just my data removed I want a fresh Android install.
AnswerTo perform a factory reset:
Power the unit off.
Then hold the power button until it gives you the short vibration
Right when it does, hit the VOLUME UP button a couple of times. (This may take a couple of tries.)
This will bring up a menu that includes a full factory reset.
Use the volume buttons to move the menu selection and the power button as the "enter" key.

i tried to install an update and now i have nothing but a tablet with a running logo. i have read everything on this site and i am very confused about what to do. i have tried several suggestions (wiing the cache, data and trying to reboot) but i get nowhere. i am not great with the computer stuff so past the relatively simple steps i get lost inthe tech language. going to a site and downloading to a SD card would be easy if there was just one place and not so many different ones that have multiple options and steps. I'd say you have a better chance of not loosing anything if you connect to your home computer-- but it's not certain. Yeah, I'd imagine it's very frustrating. I'm surprised Apple allows these huge updates outside of iTunes.

A "factory reset" means you erase the drive securely. All of your files will be removed permanently. I suggest you make a backup:
Clone using Restore Option of Disk Utility
1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder.
2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag

Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

If you're up to a slight but rewarding challenge you can make your own if you can read your 25 character Vista product key on the PC.
Just download the 3 files you need at the link below, and read all of the instructions to create a bootable DVD installation disk using imageburn.
Disregard the part of the text under the first screen shot about "extract the files to the Vista folder."
The files were already extracted to that folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screen shot.
The other thing I noticed is on the 4th screen shot, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in myself, and then the other codes automatically populated.
When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message that about a WIM file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.
I selected No, make the ISO file.
It was not that hard to do. I burned both the 64 bit disk and the 32 bit disk in case I ever need them.
I tested both of them an my hp dc7100 CMT desktop PC, they worked perfectly.
When you enter the product key, it knows what version of Vista you have.

There are a few things to try here, nancybl.
Try performing a Hard Reset:
* Unplug printer while the unit is powered on
* Unplug other end of power cord from direct wall outlet
* Wait 30 seconds
* Plug unit back up for power
As well, try turning Energy Save Mode off:
* Press the right arrow while on the home screen of the printer
* Select the Setup Menu
* Scroll to and select Preferences
* Scroll to Energy Save Mode and select it to turn this feature off

Pavilion g6-1330EO: issues in performing a factory reset...recovery manager doesn't show up!

Hi, I wanted to do a factory reset of my notebook and tried to do it through recovery manager during startup(as I can't login to my system..seems OS corrupted or something) but i just don't get the recovery manager screen.
Here is what I do and what I see on the screen:
After pressing F11 - System recovery during startup, it takes me to a screen with a progress bar saying 'Windows is loading files...' then to another screen which says..'starting windows' and ends up in a screen with nothing but just the mouse pointer. No recovery manager window is shown at all.
Can somebody pl help me in letting know what could be wrong and how can it be fixed?

Try testing the Hard Drive through the BIOS.

While you're there test everything else out.
If it doesn't allow you into the BIOS take the Hard Drive out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6agiCGktwA

Without the disc you can't. If you want to revert to "factory" spec you need to contact 1-800-MY-APPLE and purchase a set of original factory discs. Understand that 10.4 is no longer supported by Apple and is quite obsolete.
