How do I permanently delete unwanted purchased books from my ibooks and applied?
How do I permanently delete unwanted purchases from my ibooks/ Apple ID?
You can't permanetly delete any item from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them via your computer's iTunes so that they don't show in the Purchased links for redownloading : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
You can delete downloaded ibooks from the bookshelf in the iBooks app on your device via the Edit button at the top of the bookshelf

How can I delete the purchased books list in iBook?
How can I delete the purchased books list in iBook?
Hi,
Yes you are miss understanding the problem. To clarify. The problem is not how to delete the book from a device, it is how to delete the puchase (i.e. the history). You can hide it in your account settings, but you cannot delete it. So if you buy something on a shared account (i.e. a family account like mine), your children can see and download any of your puchases - forever.
Some will say it's for your protection. A bit like the shop looking after your receipt, so that you cannot lose it.
However, I thought that as part of the data protection act, you could ask for this information kept about you to be deleted, but this doesn't apply to Apple purchases. Believe me I've tried. -

How do I permanently delete a purchase?
How do I permanently delete a purchase?
i forget the details because its been awhile since i had a computer but....there is indeed a way to permanently delete files from itunes. what i recall of the method is this: itunes stores a record of your files in two places. you must delete the both of those to permanently delete the app (works for songs too).
this was on snow leo. im guessing (a) harder to get to those two places in the reborn os (i didnt try when i had a mac running lion. too busy solving keychain issues....) and (b) that its still the same when you do find those files.
sorry this is so vague but i wanted to note that its not impossible to do. -

How do I permanently delete a purchase from my available downloads.
I purchased a tv show from iTunes that came with a regular version as well as a HD version. I do not want to download the HD version as it is estimated to take 5 hours and it is a duplicate. Every time I try to download new purchases this program begins to download. I have stopped the download, tried to delete it, unchecked it and it still reappears under "available for download".Is there a way to permanently delete this without having to download it?

How do i permanently delete a purchase from iphone
I downloaded a free coldplay album using the 12 days of christmas app a few days ago and now want to delete it - the music and video - not the app. I've removed theem all from my itunes but when i sync again they all re-appear and they never come off my phone. They take up space so I want them gone - i dont care if they appear on my purchases list (as a receipt blah blah blah)
My phone is only set to sync music from 2 playlists, a few podcasts - no video at all and the tick box about musci video us left blank - so why is itunes forcing these files back onto my device?
I never intend watching them again - so I need to remove the files from my phone and my itunes - pretty simple really but I dont appear toe be allowed to so it?
Clues anybody??I should add that 'purchased' under playlists in the music sction has not been ticked. And if untick music completely then the audio bar (pale blue) shrinks to zero - but the video bar (purple) remains unchanged. Why can I not opt to un-sync all video and purchases?

How do I "permanently" delete unwanted downloads etc. ?
I have 1 PC with iTunes and 3 other devices that all sync at various times. iPod touch, iPad and iPhone 4s. I get tired of deleted items returning to the que and asking to download updates. I have deleted these persistent items multiple times. Why do they continue to re-appear? It's very annoying.
Thanks!I'm not answering my own question but, I did try to delete the returning items from my iTunes library. I'll see if it returns again.

How do I permanently delete a partial download from itunes?
I have 2 tv shows that were taking too long to download so I stopped them and deleted them. But they keep coming back. Any ideas on how to get rid of them completely? Thanks in advance!
You cannot remove items from the queue yourself other than by letting the download complete. If you don't want to do this then contact support and ask them to remove the items for you. You should still be able to download them from your purchase history at a later date.

How can I permanently delete my iTunes library from my Mac?
I selected all of the songs and deleted them (and chose to move them to the Trash when prompted). However when I check Finder >>Music >> iTunes >> iTunes Library, the songs are still all there. I even restarted my computer and the songs are still there (although thankfully no longer in iTunes).
Finder >>Music >> iTunes >> iTunes Library
There is no folder named iTunes library unless you created it.
There will be an iTunes music or iTunes media folder.
If you don't want an iTunes library, just delete the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder.
If you open iTunes, this folder will be recreated but no media will be in it (until you add some). -
I purchased a box set of books on iTunes, and downloaded them. The title shows up in the "purchased" section, but when I try to send it to my iPod nano, I get an error message telling me it cannot be moved because it cannot be found. I can't find a screen anywhere offering the option to re-download either. I've paid for the books, but cannot access them! Every time I upgrade iTunes, it gets more confusing and harder to use.
Also I now can`t access any of my itunes library and am concerned that if I remove it from my computer I will lose everything as I have no option of accessing and therefore backing anything up. Any ideas?
