How do I permanently remove "Authentication Required" window that continues to pop up?

I am running Firefox 15.0.1 on Mac OS 10.6.8. A window continues to pop up that reads, "Authentication Required" and "Enter username and password for ftp://ftp.radiogarage.com". This happens every time Firefox is opened and continues to pop up approximately every 30-60 seconds until I close Firefox. How do I permanently remove/delete/get rid of this pop up window? I have clicked on Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox but that has not solved the issue. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • How do I delete an old apple id that continues to pop up on my iPad?

My iPad 2 defaults to an old apple id - I don't remember the password for that id ....I do have a new email id and password however but can't insert it into the text boxes because of this darn pop up that asks me to enter my old id password (which i don't know... )... HELP!

All media and apps downloaded from the app store are tied to the Apple ID used to download them.
You can not transfer them to another ID.
Your options are delete and re download the app, losing all data, or reset the password for the old ID. If you forgot your Apple ID password

  • HT5824 how do i permanently remove a song that i purchased from my itunes library ?

how do i permanently remove a song that i purchased from my itunes library on my iphone 5s ?

Unfortunately that was empty too. The Firefox upgrade at that time seemed to wipe an awful lot of stuff. After searching, re-installing etc, whatever was suggested, I gave up. It was a while back. I will remember your suggestions if it ever (hopefully not) happens again though. I did have a very old bookmarks backup, but that would not import, so I did use bits of it manually but it had saved as a massive merged line of sites without my folders, so was a bit too much to fiddle with. The loss of the classical music sites was what I regretted most, no idea what they were called and cannot find some of them now. Ah well, no point in fretting about it now I suppose.

How can I permanently remove apps from my iphone, ipad, ipod operating in the iCloud?

Apps don't operate in the cloud - they're either downloaded to your device, or they're in your Purchased list. You can't permanently remove the history of apps you've purchased, but you can hide them. See this link:

how do i permanantly remove mcafee secure search bar

You need to uninstall '''McAfee Site Advisor''' which includes the Secure Search box.
The program has its own uninstaller which you need to run called '''Uninstall.exe''' which is located in ''C:\Program Files\SiteAdvisor\6066''
Follow the prompts to remove it completely from your system and then reboot.

  • My iCloud has been 'upgrading' for the last 12 hrs. That is, after I had pressed 'install after downloading the latest, improved version without entering my password. How do I get back to the window that will allow me to enter my password?

My iPad has been 'upgrading' for the last 12hrs.That is, after I had downloaded the new version of iCloud, and pressed 'Install' without entering my password. It is probably searching for it. How do I go back to the window that will allow me to enter my password. I have tried switching off the device, but each time the 'upgrading' comes on. I have also switched it off and left it on the charger for at least 6 hrs.

  • How do I permanently REMOVE the Face Recognition program in Windows 8.1?

I want to Uninstall, permanently REMOVE, the Face Recognition program from Windows 8.1.  When I select this program from the list of all programs displayed, I am not given an "uninstall" option, only the option to "change", which
then begins to install.  I was able to uninstall once before, but somehow the program was placed back onto my computer and now the "uninstall" option is no longer available.  Thanks!

    Hello DePaix,
    What is your current situation?
Have you tried the solution as MVP Cyber_Defend_Team mentioned?
Do this program preinstalled? If yes, we need to contact the manufacturer to receive better support.
If my understanding is right, you uninstalled it once, but the program was back and only the option to ‘change’.
Could you please provide us a screenshot to avoid misunderstanding if you willing to?
Can you run the program? If the program runs in the startup, we could use the tool System Configuration (msconfig) to disable apps or services that normally run at startup.
For more information, please take a look at the following article about using system configuration.

  • Remove authentication requirment from applications folder

Hi whenever i try to copy an application to my applications folder it asks me for authentication, i don't this i want to be able to move applications into the applications folder without having to authenticate i am the admin of my computer, it was not like this in the past i don't remember if i have done something to make it like this. how do i remove this authentication requirement?
    thanks.

    abdu wrote:
By the way do you know what could have caused that thanks
no, I don't. in fact, I'm still confused by this. the permissions on the Applications folder are recorded in the permissions database and running repair permissions should have fixed this. the fact that it didn't means that you might have a problem with your permissions database. could you run "repair permissions" again? see what if anything happens to permissions on Applications.

  • How do I permanently remove a built-in certificate authority?

Firefox added CNNIC as certificate authority which, IMHO, is untrustworthy (it's from the People's Republic of China.) I would like to be able to permanently remove the built-in CNNIC along with some other authorities which I do not trust but deleting it through the options menu doesn't do it.
    This also applies to Thunderbird.

I agree with you and now that man-in-the-middle attacks have been confirmed using fraudulent certificates, I think it is time to have a better system for checking for good and valid certificates. I also do not think that it is necessary or even good to have certificates from all over the world on your network especially from countries that are your competitors. A system must be established for certificates and administrators should be able to remove certificates that they are not comfortable with on their networks with ease and not have them attempt to come back. Finally, I wonder why we need so many certificates because for those of you who remember back in Windows 98 Second Edition there were only a small amount of certificates, less surface area to hack because there were not as many provided services. Nowadays, computers have become too complex and it is necessary to start giving power back to the administrators to easily remove unneeded services and unneeded certificates and unneeded junk that is slowing down their systems and resulting in vulnerabilities such as allowing for SQL injections in systems that are thought to be safe.

  • How do I Permanently remove a tab that is called "new tab" but is a Blank Page?

Every time I turn my computer on, I click my Firefox icon in taskbar at bottom, BUT, not only does my homepage tab show up, but lately I have been seeing another tab showing up beside it called "New Tab" but it is Blank. I don't how it all of a sudden showed up, but I can't seem to get rid of it. I right click & "close tab", but I have to do this every time I turn on my computer. Isn't there a way to Permanently Remove this Tab so it doesn't keep showing up on my Tab Bar?

  • How do I permanently remove apps from iCloud?

I would like to permanently remove old and unwanted apps from iCloud and all my devices (iPad, iPhone, and iTunes), but there does not seem to be a way to do this. In fact, there seems to be an strong underlying effort to avoid this option. No discussions, no steps, no Support options.
    Any suggestions?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
The apps are not actually in your iCloud storage, they are links to the apps in the App Store. What you are seeing is your purchase history and as such cannot be deleted.
You can however hide your purchases, which you can do from the QuickLinks > Purchased option from the main page in the iTunes Store on your computer.
