How do I place a signature on a document and make it un- editable

Hello,
To place a signature on the document please follow these steps:
1. Open the pdf file.
2. Tap on the pdf if toolbar at the top of pdf file is not visible.
3. Tap on 3rd icon from Right(commenting option) present in the toolbar.
4. Tap on Signature icon (Pen type, second from right)
5. Tap on the pdf file where you want to put the signature.
6. After that if show you a canvas on which you can draw your signature.
7. After signature gets added to the pdf file, tap on it modify its properties accordingly.
To make it un-editable
Close the document once. After that the signature will become uneditable.
Please let me know it you faces any issue in adding a signture to the pdf file.

In the past I would simply place a copy of the document on my scanner, then selected create PDF from scanner. However, there is now no create PDF from scanner alternative, option or choice. The only option available is selected file to convert to PDF. what am I to do?

That would have been a function of your scanning software. Adobe Reader is only used to view the pdf that your scanning software created.

I want so set up itunes on my laptop and make sure that I get all of my old music and any music shared from my sons' itunes accounts. Do I have to set up itunes on my new laptop first and then use the same logins? Really concerned about losing any music, etc.

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

For that kind of connectivity you need to be using an email account configured either as IMAP or Exchange.
IMAP & Exchange accounts will maintain a sync across all your devices, so if you read / delete a message on your phone, it will disappear from the server as well. This cannot happen in POP email accounts.

Alternatively, if its anything other than Google, you will need to contact your email providor or IT department (if your email address resides with an enterprise environment) to get the correct settings.

From the finder window, click File, click new folder, you can drag all documents into that Folder making it the master folder. You can ajso drag folders into the Master folder, and have them as sub-folders if you wish to do that. Either way they will all be in one master folder.

Adobe doesn't support a signature pad for Adobe Acrobat but the Topaz pad sees and registers the signature on the computer but not on the document? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mary,
Did you not get software from Topaz along with the signature pad? You should have gotten a file called signplus.exe (or gemsignplus) that installs the software that integrates the Topaz signature pad with Acrobat. Then you need to go to the Signature Creation preference and select Topaz as the default signing method. You can also select Always ask and then you would be prompted to select either Topaz or the traditional Acrobat digital signature when you click on a signature field.
How to get to the signature preference depends on the version of Acrobat you are using. If you let me know I'll give you the exact steps.
