In ITunes, is there a smart playlist option or other way I can ask Itunes to "play all songs by female vocalists" ..?

There is nothing in iTunes that can recognize the the gender of the vocalist. If you want to add that information to a convenient field, such as Genre, you would then be able to write a smart playlist that would collect them. However, it would be less trouble to just put them all into a regular (not a smart) playlist, and start it playing.

Copy the entire iTunes folder from your old computer to your new one using one of the methods discussed here: iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer. If you no longer have the old computer and you have to transfer it from your phone, you will have to purchase and use third-party software to extract the music from your phone, such as Touch Copy or CopyTrans.

The repeat setting can be found from the Nano's Now Playing screen. While playing a track, swipe to the right to bring up additional controls including the scrubber bar, as well as the repeat and shuffle otpions. See page 21 of your iPod's User Guide for more assistance on the repeat setting.

HT1373 How can I make all of my devices use the same iTunes library?

I have an iMac, Macbook Air, Macbook, iPad, iPhone and an iTouch. So, as you can imagine, I have many devices that need to be on the same page at all times. I take my Air to campus with me and use it for classes, along with my iPad, so I usually plug my iPad into my laptop for updates, dowloads, transfers, charging, etc... The same with my iPhone. However, when I get home and I plug my iPad or iPhone into my iMac, it does this whole (This iPad is currently synced to another library, would you like to Erase & Sync to this library). No. I want my Air and iMac to be the same so I can plug my devices up to either of them without having to worry about erasing or adding anything that I don't want erased or added.
How, if at all, can I accomplish this?

You can't. An iOS device can still be synced with only one computer. That is making sense have it referer to multiple files from your computer (backup, iTunes medias, sync information).
As you will only sync your iOS with one computer, it is iCloud you need to use to keep all your content in sync. While on the go, you use your iPad for a purchase for exemple, iCloud will allow you to push that purchase to all your devices automatically. Though, it doesn't mean that it will sync with any devices.
iCloud will allow you, once properly configure, to use any documents, media, purchases, apps, bookmarks, content, calendar, email... and so one in sync from any of your devices without the assle to sync from an iOS device.

How do i get all the tags i see in the iTunes library to be the ID3 tags?

I have a huge collection of mp3 in iTunes (the latest version), and they are all perfectly organized, but when i open those mp3 files in any other player i see old tags or no tags, because the id3 tags on the mp3 files are not the same as the ones i see on itunes. I've tried the "convert id3 tags" tool but it does not seem to help. How do i get the id3 tags to be the same as iTunes tags?

The music sync is one way -computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

How do I play all the Movies from within my LIBRARY without having to click PLAY everytime on each individual movie? All my movies in the Library have the check marks on them already.
When I play my "Music" LIBRARY, as soon as a song is over the next one starts up. Fine. Great! But, the same is not happening from within my "Movies" LIBRARY.
This play-all-Movies type of action works fine from within each of my playlists. Once selected a movie to play from any playlist, other movies will keep on playing, one after another, until told to stop. But, I also would like to play all movies from my library.
It would seem redundant to copy my entire library into a single playlist just to have this function available. Besides, every time I would add a new movie to the library, I would also have to remember to add it to said playlist.
Could anyone, please, tell me if it is possible to play all movies from within the LIBRARY? (iTunes v.8.01).

Right click on them, select "get info" then "video", then select a category from the "video kind" box.
Click ok. Sync your iPod to reflect the changes.

How do i "play all" from a Playlist

I'm a 1st time iTunes user trying to organize my music. I want to setup a category for 'piano' music and created a new playlist. But I don't see how I can 'play all' the music in that in one session. Is there a way to 'play all' in a Playlist?

When you access the metadata for an album, you can obviously pick a genre from the dropdown that appears when you click on the up/down arrows next to the genre field:
The values listed are the ones built-in to iTunes plus any you've defined yourself. However, instead of picking one of these values, you can click in the field itself and start typing. Initially iTunes will try to match what you type to an existing genre (so when you type "P" it'll select "Podcast") but keep typing until you've completed the new genre:
Now, having entered this once "by hand", your new genre is added to the dropdown for future selection:
You can now define a smart playlist that uses this new genre, as described in my previous comments. Whether this is then recognized by the Bose system I don't know - its not technology I'm familiar with, though I would assume that it would be picking up "genre" as a piece of metadata from the iTunes library and/or media files and would just use whatever values it finds there. The only exception I can think of is that the Bose system is somehow "hard-coded" to iTunes' built-in genres only (which would be a pretty dumb thing to do, but ......).

Hi, how do I play split-track songs in my library. It comes through with vocals and music together. How do I turn the vocals down? I am not sure that I can, but thought that the question should be asked.

You could always play an unchecked song if you selected it and clicked play. iTunes should however skip over any unchecked songs when playing the next song after playback of the current song completes. iTunes 11.0.1 seems to behave properly for me...

Using the same Apple id and Password you should be able to download purchased apps without being charged again.
I download to an iPad/iPad2/iPhone3 & iPhone4 with no problem.

Play All track (with Story functions) not working

I'm using a single track as my Play All function for a dvd of several short films and using Story functions to have the individual films play from their own menus.
But the Play All track won't play all the way through though it does if I press >| (next chapter) button on my remote control. Each film plays fine from its own menu as an individual track though.

Play All Story would include all markers, a story to just play a section would include the marker for just the one section. You can put the markers in any order you like and can duplicate the markers. If you drop all the markers in the next button will work until the last marker in the story, then there will be no other marker left (but you can put a "fake" marker in the track to jump to for the last real marker)

It seems to happen with songs that were purchased before synchronizing the new iPhone
I will tell you how I fixed it.
Note: I have iTunes in spanish so I will try to translate and figure out the commands that appear on ITunes in english. I will put my translations into brackets. English is not my native language. I will do my best.
The workaround is:
1.- Dragg no working songs from iTunes to a folder on the hard disk. (Only for backup purposes)
2.- Deleted those songs from iTunes library.
3.- On the left panel in ITunes click on "Purchased" under the STORE option. All your purchased songs will appear on the right panel
4.- At the bottom and right there is the option : "Download Previous Purchases". Click there.
5.- Click on the option "Are not in my Library" (top right)
6.- The songs you deleted from iTunes will appear.
7.- Downloaded them again. (You have the option to download at the bottom right)
8.- Syncronize your iPhone and that's all.
