How do I play background music for a movie

It is easy to set the iPOD to play background music for a photo slide show.
Is it possible to have the ipod play a song as background for a movie? The "movie" is really an mpeg4 file created by using a screen grabber and is silent.
If it is not possible to do this within iTunes/iPOD is there any easy to use and inexpensive software that I could use to add sound to the movie and then import it into iTunes?

Why not keep it simple and just put up the short file and
play it right through - even it if duplicates something in a longer
version?

I don't see my iTunes library when I'm selecting background music for a slideshow -- I have tried using iphoto help (seee below) and it didn't work:

I have this problem also - tried following advice giving from original problem.
My settings are through the what I call the Lug Nut icon - no arrows and no dimple showing on my screen.
Is there some small thing I'm missing here - weird thing is that iDVD allows me to access my iTunes library - no problem.
When I go to Finder it tells it can't find my Music folder??? I can see it in the sidebar .....
Any suggestions - I don't know how to send those screen shots but what a great idea.

Does anyone here know how to make a background soundtrack for a Tai Chi Video in Garageband. I have been looking around at the different sounds and music in Garageband but I have not been able to find anything that would go with the video.

you will not have to do any importing in GarageBand. Intalling Mainstage will extent GarageBands Loop Library and Instruments Library.
After you installed MainStage the additional loops and Instruments will show in GarageBand just like all other Loops. you will simply see more loops.

You may have already done this, but try de-authorizing your computer (through the iTunes:Store menu) and then re-authorizing it.

yes, I make music repeated by using media overlay and select the selection of repeat music.

Oncxe you add background music to i-movie, then want to change it, how do you delete audio clip?

If you are referring to music you added to the timeline in iMovie simply click the green audio clip to select it. Once it has a yellow border around it you can use the delete key on keyboard or the edit->cut menu command. Now drag in your new audio file as you did on the original.
If you are referring to background music that was in the original video file then place your cursor over the middle of the green audio waveform below the video and a double arrow will appear. Hold down your left mouse button and drag down to mute the audio. You can now drag in your new audio from iTunes and drop it below the video, dragging it to where you want it in the timeline.
