On your iPod go to "Videos / Video Settings".
Then select "TV Out" and either set it to "off" or "ask".
Also, make sure you are accessing the video through the videos menu. If you have a video mixed in an audio playlist and you access it through that, you also won't be able to see the video.

You can mirror the displays as you said or just drag the iTunes window to the second display (TV). Then it will play in full screen only on the TV, however your computer screen will go black. Either way you will have no access to your iTunes controls.
If you want to use your computer while it is playing full screen on the TV, then use QuickTime Pro (not in mirror mode) and choose Present Movie, then click on the display you want it on (TV).

Hey everyone, I found a pretty simple workaround. I don't know that it will work on an iPad, but works fine on my computer and there's no affect on the video size and no need to download extra applications. It all functions normally.
1. Go to the Music library.
2. Select Playlists (located at top horizontal menu).
3. Create a new playlist.
4. Your new playlist should now display on the right side of the itunes window.
5. Now you can go into any of the other libraries and just drag and drop into the playlist.
6. Click the Done button when you're done adding episodes to the playlist.
Now that you have a playlist created, you can keep adding on to it - say you want to store all TV seasons under one playlist. To do that just :
1. Select your desired playlist.
2. Click on the Add To option located directly underneath the iTunes Store button (top right).
3. Now the playlist should appear on the right hand side of the iTunes window and follow steps 5 & 6 from above.

In order to play the iPod through your iMac's speakers you will need to play it through iTunes. And in order to play it through iTunes, you need to have the *Manually manage music and videos* option enabled from under your iPod's Summary tab in iTunes. Otherwise, there is no other way.
Keep in mind if you currently have your iPod set to automatically sync that manually managing your iPod's contents if much different. Here is more information if you are interested.

You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.

A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

How Do I Get Siri To Show Me The "Now Playing" Screen?

When I'm driving, it's great to be able to push the home button and get Siri to play a playlist or all songs from an artist.
But how do I get her to show me the Now Playing screen? When you say "show me the 'now playing' screen," (or just about anything similar), she searches the Web. That's not what I want. What is the command to get Siri to switch to the iPod "Now Playing" so I don't have to manually tap through to that screen (and take eyes off the road)? This should be simple, but I can't seem to figure it out.

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting to a different computer if your current one is out of commission. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it.

thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option.
