How do I play purchased games on my computer?

Anyone know how I can play games purchased for my iPod on my computer? I purchased Tetris, downloaded it to my iPod but I want to play on the computer. Someone advised me that you cannot play purchased games on the computer. Anyone know if this is true? I authorized the computer already but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Sadly, it is not possible to play games downloaded for the iPod from iTunes on your computer. They can only be played on the 5th Gen iPods (iPod video's)

  • HELP - PLAYING PURCHASED GAMES ON MY COMPUTER

I purchased Tetris for my son's 30GB iPod and was wondering how I can get it to play on my computer. I went to the iTunes site, clicked on "store" and authorized the computer but I still have no idea how to get it to play. Any help or suggestions? Thanx.

The games you purchase from the itunes store only play on the 5th gen ipod (video ipod). You can see them in itunes, but they will not play.

How can I play films/games etc on my iphone on my TV? What Wires/cables do I need? I understand it depends on TV but do I need cable for video and also a cable for sound??? Please help, thanking you.

You need one of the Apple AV Cables:
    Composite: http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MB129ZA/B
    Component: http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MB128ZA/B
Note that with this cable, you can output videos and photo slideshows, but not games, etc. - it doesn't show everything on the screen, only outputs videos and photo slideshows.

how do i play my songs on my computer?

    Find a music file.
Open your hard drive (Home), then Music, then iTunes, then Media, and drag the music file into the Automatically Add To iTunes folder.
Start iTunes by double clicking its icon.  The music you added should appear in it.
Click the triangle at the top of the window.
Alternatively, double click on any file with an iTunes icon on it and it will open iTunes , add it, and play.  This is okay for right now but pretty soon you'll want to do it another way.

  • I Tunes will not ley me play purchased songs from a computer that is broken, and from a previous e-mail address. I am at my wits end, as whenevr I try to authorise the computer I am using with my dead e-mail address. Any suggestions please?

i Tunes will not let me play purchased songs from a computer that is broken, and which has a previous e-mail address. I am at my wits end, as whenever I try to play the songs I receive a message to authorise the computer I am using with my dead e-mail address. I end up in a mess, changing I-Ds, etc. I have paid an IT company to sort  things out, with some success, but still I keep getting thiese messages. Surely iTunes should be less complex than this. I am not brilliant with IT, but not at all stupid. Any suggestions please?

    2. Reason : You have installed Desktop Manager using the 'Desktop Redirector' option.
Step 1: If you're not using Redirector, you should uninstall Desktop Manager and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.
Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > Service Book, and delete all service books for [Desktop]

  • How can I transfer purchased itunes from my computer to my iPod without losing/erasing the current songs on my iPod?

How can I transfer purchased iTunes from my computer to my iPod without losing all the songs I currently have on my iPod?  I've already burned the purchased songs onto DVDs, but they still aren't recognized as authorized songs that I can copy onto my iPod.  One other note:  The songs I purchased were done so with iTune versions much earlier than 10.0, does that matter?  I couldn't tell you what version though.

Not sure what you are saying.
What is stopping you from adding the songs?
Are you getting an error message?
    What does it say?

  • How do I play pc games on my osx mountain lion imac

I have recently purchased a imac and have upgraded to os x mountian lion. I am a teenager and like to play games but none of the good ones are for imac. How can I play games on my imac. Or how can I switch to windows all together with still using my imac display.

Windows games unless re-written for Mac can only be accessed in Windows. This is an overview I borrowed from a fellow contributor:
    (Borrowed from Kappy)
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or Snow Leopard. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

  • How can I play Windows games that require CD on mac mini bootcamp?

    Hey!
So have a brandnew optical drive-less mac mini, and have Windows 7 installed as bootcamp partition. Want to play a game on the Windows side but it requires a CD be in the drive to play - which, obviously, I don't have. I tried Carbon Copy Cloner to a USB stick - it worked for the installation but not the game play. Any suggestions how I get an image to mount that the Windows Bootcamp will recognize? Is it possible to mount the CD as a shared disk on my G5 elsewhere on my network or should I just stick to Daemon Tools or MagicISO stuff on Windows. If the latter - how do I get the data from a USB stick mounted as a disk image then (do I need to copy it to the local, then create a disk image and then copy to that image for example?)
I can see this is going to be a problem for all sorts of other things I still have "legacy" I can see so any help on this will carry forward, thanks.

Yeah, I know, but the whole idea of moving away from disks isn't such a bad one - so I'm wondering if I can implement it someway - I have the original copy disks so it's not about pirating them to play games but ripping them the right way so they work... hmmm.

  • How do I play a game I have downloaded to iTunes?

I can't figure out to actually play a game I have downloaded to iTunes.  Sorry, I am new to this, and I would like to play on a game on my desktop, but can't figure out how to do that.  Is there a way to save it to my desktop so I can just click on it when I want to play?

It sounds like you have downloaded a game from the App Store in iTunes. These Apps can only be run on iOS devices (iPhones, iPads, iPods) and you can check the App's specifications on the info page in the App Store to see which specific devices the developers have made the game for.

  • How can I play iPad games like Clash of Clans on my iMac or MBP

I have watched a bunch of videos on YouTube that allegedly state that by installing an application such as (but not limited to) XCode I can play iPad games on my Macs. I have not been able to get ANYTHING to work. Has Apple or any 3rd party ever came up with a way to play IOS games on OSX? Xcode specifically was stated in the videos as only being able to run on OSX 10.7 or later. Another video said that it requires 10.8.4 or later. I run 10.8.5. After the 30 minute download and install (big file) it told me that my OSX was not compatible with the application. I got Xcode from the App store.

Thank you xcfdanyboy; however, I already checked out this guys youtube video (blip.tv/simonvideo). The problem for me is I do not have a google account, and will never voluntarily give google any information about me that would be needed to secure a google account. I do not even visit youtube using the traditional internet (WWW). I have not and will never again trust google after they released their updated "privacy" policy on March 1 2011 (or 2012). I do not even their search engine any more (sadly because I loved it).
I will check out your 2nd suggestion. Thank you again for responding to me though.
Nope, the 2nd suggestion also requires me to divulge info to google. Thank you again for both of your suggestions, they will just not work for me. I guess I may be relegated to playing on my Lady's game on her Ipad unless I buy my own Ipad some day. Although I really do not want to drop another $700+ for another Ipad simply so I can play a free game. Who knows.

  • How can I play xbox games on my macbook pro??

I travel a lot and I cannot take my xbox with me everywhere I go. I have a macbook pro and want to be able to play xbox games on my mac. Is there anyway I can do this? Safely?

The XBox uses three PowerPC processors that run very very hot and need constant power and Mac's use Intel processors that run very cool in comparison.
It would take a complete rewrite of the entire games code to make it work on a Mac.
So in short, it can't be done. Sorry.
But I'll clue you 2 free 3D games you can run on your MacBook Pro
Cube 2 Suaerbraten and Nexiuz Classic.  That should help get you by.
