How do I plug my Play Station 3 (PS3) to my Thunderbolt Display?

Hello!
I want to plug succesfully my PS3 to my Apple Thunderbolt Display in orderd to enjoy games at 1080p.
Is there any way that doesn't involve buying a very expensive signal adaptor or similar?
Why is it so hard to convert a digital signal from one cable to another.

The only way I know of to display anything other than a Powerbook's own video on its display is a utility called ScreenRecycler, which allows another Mac to use the Powerbook's display. For your PS2, use the TV.

4. Like, the component "ClassPeriods" want to purchase from Vendor 1 and plug it to "School" platform it should work.
5. Incase if we want to unplug the "ClassPeriod" component provided bfy Vendor 1 from "School" platform and want to plug the "ClassPeriod" from Vendor 2. then the Design should support without any extra effort.
Suggest me the best design pattern for the problem

Huge apple fan, have thousands invested in stock and products. I'm deployed and I want to know a way to play my PS3 through the thunderbolt connector to HDMI? is there any software to support this?

I would like to start off by saying, that I'm a huge apple fan, even own 8 shares. I have everytihing apple, from multiple phones, two ipads, macbook air, macbook pro, time machine, and 2 apple tv's. So, I easliy have invested enough for a reponse. But, I'm really frustrated right now because I'm deployed and I would love nothing more than to be able to play my PS3 on my macbook pro. I know that this would be easily possible if mac devoted a week to a solution. Or maybe there is already software that would allow me to use my thunderbolt connection to HDMI to connect to my PS3. I have the hardware, all I need is a program that would reconize this. This would only help there sales, so I don't understand why you can't already do this. To be able to use your screen on your macbook pro as a TV for your game consoles would be a huge to boost sales. Please tell me if this is possible and what I need to do it? Or please tell me why this is not possible?

What you want is Target Display mode. This mode is only supported in Late 2009 and Mid 2010 27-inch iMacs, and Mid 2011 or newer iMacs, but MacBooks Pro are not supported, so you cannot use your MacBook as a display for your PlayStation 4.
In the case of Late 2009 and Mid 2010 27-inch iMacs, there is an adapter called Kanex XD which allows you to use the iMac as a display for a Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, but Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are not supported. In other words, you need an external monitor for your PlayStation 4.

So assuming your mini has a thunderbolt port (you said it's new so I assume it does), you'd just plug the display's thunderbolt cable into the mini's Thunderbolt port.

How do you get your dock to appear on the Thunderbolt display?

When I connect my MacBook Air to the Thunderbolt, the dock remains on my laptop.
My husband's MacBook Pro automatically puts the dock at the bottom of the Thunderbolt screen.
Also, when I open any application or a new window in an open application, the new window appears on my laptop
and I have to drag it to the Thunderbolt display.
Is there any way to get the dock and windows to appear on the Thunderbolt automatically so I can work only on the
Thunderbolt?

Malcolm's answer has me mirroring my laptop which is better than I had.
But, I used to be able to have my Apple Mail on my laptop, while working on other applications on the Thunderbolt.

When I press the Command + F2, the iMac screen becomes a secondary for the MacBook Pro, and the Thunderbolt Display becomes the primary screen for the iMac. I was hoping that both screens would become secondaries for the MacBook Pro. Does anyone know how I should proceed? I have tried to connect the Thunderbolt display directly to the MacBook Pro, and the iMac to the Thunderbolt Display via the separate Thunderbolt cable, but there was no difference. Yes, eww, the language definitely states two thunderbolt displays, but I can understand the confusion and was siding with how they could make the mistake to think it would work like they want it to. My appologies for not being clear on that point, but I think you make it clear that the language in the ad says nothing about an imac.

Sorry, there are two versions of the 802.11n AirPort Express. The older version has a single Ethernet port; the newer one has two. Which do you have? Is your goal to connect the PS3 to the Express by wire or wireless?

How do I set MacBook to an external display when the plug and play doesn't recognize it? I am trying to set my Samsung 530 LCD as a monitor but HDMI and VGA cords (and the adaptor for them) doesn't seem to work.

I have tried everything I can find on line but they all claim that the plug and play works, and they don't for me. I tried the mini dvi to HDMI and a HDMI cord and that was not recognized no matter which unit I rebooted first. I found someone who said that my Macbook might be too old for the HDMI technology so I returned the cords and went to the VGA cord and adaptor.

I contacted Samsung support and they said I needed to set the display settings to external display on the mac. I went to the display settings and moved the icon to my status bar. When I click on search for displays or whatever it says (I'm not at my Mac right now) it does nothing.
What am I missing?

I am using MAC OSx 10.5.8 (9L31a) as my operation system. The TV says "No signal. Check connected device's power, cable connection and source selection." How is it connected? firewire or usb?
When connected it should appear in system profiler.
blue apple > about this mac > more info button. Click on the hardware line. It has a little triangle in front of the work hardware.

How to return Firefox to playing .wav files without the vlc plug-in?

Win XP, Firefox 33.11. In an html document are links to PCM, 16 bit .wav files and
other links to .mp3 files. Opening the document with Firefox and clicking on an .mp3 link
plays in the `native' Firefox player OK. However clicking on a .wav link seemed to fail to
play. Using Tool/Options/Applications, wav files were associated with VLC. Now clicking
on a .wav link plays OK in a Firefox screen displaying the vlc logo.
However, later the following was found this under the Firefox help information
"Firefox can play the WAV container format (.wav, .wave file types) containing uncompressed
audio in PCM at 8 or 16 bits per sample".
It seems the .wav files should play with the `native' Firefox player.
How can the link to vlc be removed. Removing the plug-in is not a solution as it is used
for many other file types.

Firefox will only use the HTML5 media player when the AUDIO tag is used.
If EMBED or OBJECT is used then Firefox will always use a plugin.

The PS3 can act as a DNLA client to scan a DNLA server for media, and send it to an attached TV. Your Mac can act as a server using third-party software such as Twonky or TVMobili.

How can I configure and control a non-plug and play VXI card using the NI-controller (NI-VXI/NI-VISA software)?

Defining the slot, logical address and sending data across the card bus are the main operations I would like to perform. The non plug&play card is a VXI send & receive slave card. Low-level programming is probably required. Has anyone tried this before? If so I would be so grateful if you could share your experiences or refer me to someone who has.

VXI cards are, by specification, plug and play, so I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a "non plug&play card." I'm guessing that the card is effectively a VME card. In this case, you can just add the VME device in the proper configuration utility. Here is a link to a document on our website about configuring VME cards (http://ni.com/support/vxi/vmeinfo.pdf).
You should easily be able set the slot, pseudo Logical Address and memory space. Once configured, you should be able to write to registers using NI-VISA commands (viIn, viOut, and viMove). These high level commands are included in the highreg.c example which shipped with your NI-VISA software (installed in vxipnp directory).
