How do I prevent iCloud alerts from appearing on all my iOS devices?

I'm stumped on how to prevent alerts from popping up on all my iOS devices on my account. I have two iphones on my account (one is my dad's and the other is mine). I have all of our contacts and events separated in iCloud. For some reason even though his calendar events are unchecked on my phone, the alerts still show up on my iphone, and even though my events on my dads phone are unchecked, he still gets my alerts on his phone. I never had this problem when our events were synced with iCal. The last thing I want to do is create a separate account for my dad. He never goes onto itunes on his own, and if he needs to then I'll do it for him. Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

There doesnt seem to be a way to get around this, some things to try would be: setting your phones up under the same apple I.D. as i take it you already have - and then go into settings-icloud- and change the account so u give him a new icloud account but use the shared one for app purchases etc, i'd also advise doing the same for imessage so u dont recieve each others messages (that could be real awkward).

The document Charu mentioned is great, but it is slightly out of date and missing one important method that I use frequently. I like to go to http://files.acrobat.com and upload files to my Acrobat.com account. The uploader there allows me to upload multiple documents at the same time (shift clicking on them on my PC or cmd-clicking on them on my Mac). Then, I connect my Adobe Reader to my Acrobat.com account and I can see all of those files!

Playlists don't appear across all my iOS Devices?

After tens of hours of adding around 25k songs to iTunes Match, re-matching, fixing matches and artwork etc....I finally managed to be in a happy place.
So i then spent a couple of hours creating multiple and varied playlists e.g. Chillout, Dance, songs from 98 etc
This was done on my iPad and works a treat - the playlists appear and work when iTunes Match is turned on, and even when iTunes Match is off the playlists remain but only show the songs i've downloaded/played from the playlists.
However, the same playlists simply won't appear on my iPhone 4S when iTunes Match is on. It's just blank. I've turned on, off, reset, closed multitask, waited....nada...just doesnt want to appear. I was led to beleive playlists synced across all my iOS devices/shared accounts
Any ideas?

iTunes Match does not handle Smart Playlists well on iDevices.
Two routes are open, either move to the use of standard playlists for now, or backup the iphone - restore - recover from backup. Whilst the latter route often forces Songs onto the iPhone the issue with Smart Playlists proving unreliable will remain.
A further route would be to avoid iTunes Match on one or more iDevices, simply use a manual sync for these devices.

How do I keep my name from appearing in all caps?

Since I upgraded to ML, my name in my email address appears in ALL CAPS. I've tried changing it to lower and upper case in preferences and in settings. It works for a while but goes back to ALL CAPS in a day or two.
It's extremely frustrating because having one's name in ALL CAPS comes accross as RUDE and SELF-IMPORTANT!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this is important. I was able to make it work (get rid of the all caps):
1. When you're in Mail, go to Preferences.
2. When you're in Preferences; go to Accounts.
3. When you're in Accounts; select iCloud and Account Information. From here, you may see your name in all caps greyed out in the [Full Name] part. You should also see where it says [Alias] to be a drop down list.
4. Select [Alias] and change it to (Custom). This should allow you to edit the way your name appears.
5. When you finish this part, Save it (by moving to a different section in the preference pane) and it should work.

How do I control photo streaming from my iMac to my IOS devices?

I have an iPhone 4, iPad 2, and iMac running latest versions of Lion and iPhoto. I had photo streaming in the on position for each machine, and recently I downloaded over 1500 high res Nikon photo's from a vacation into iPhoto on the Mac. I wasn't really thinking about the background activity with iCloud, but later I found that my memory was used up on the iPad. When checking further, I found that all the vacation photo's loaded to iPhoto had photo streamed to the iCloud and been copied onto my iPhone and iPad. Okay like duhh.....this is how it works, I get it now, very cool, now I have no memory left. To make matters worse, there was no easy way to delete pictures from the photo stream on the IOS devices.....you have to individually check each pic to delete. Lesson learned...I turned off the photo streaming from my iMac.
But, the way I really would like to use this is to have all photo's and/or video's taken with my iPhone or iPad to be streamed into the iCloud and copied automatically to my iMac.....but I don't want the opposite to happen....ie, when I download pics from my Nikon onto my iMac into iPhoto, I don't want those to stream to the IOS devices. Basically my iMac is the major long term storage device (with backup hard drive)...I view my IOS devices as just short term storage devices, and if something needs to be saved it should up load to my iMac.
Is it possible to set up the devices this way with iCloud, ie, one way photo streaming?

Apparently this is more difficult then I first thought.
I have an app "App1" which contains 2 databases "DB1" and "DB2"
I have group Read access defined for "App1" but I only want them to see "DB1"
I created a filter for "App1", "DB2" where access is set to None on @Idesendents(Dimx) (I tried this for all dimensions)
I then provisioned the group "DB2" to this filter.
"DB2" still apears in add-in connection dialog.
Any ideas anyone?

It's because you are doing this in Shared Services mode.
Unlike "classic" Essbase security, in Shared Services mode, if you give users (or groups) access to one database under the application, you give them access to all databases under the application. There's nothing, unfortunately, you can do about it.
I guess you could dump Shared Services but that would be a bit extreme.
Embrace the one app, one db mindset and all is well. And yes, that is not so great for performance purposes with @XREF (although to be honest I can't remember how bad it actually is -- it as been a while).

If you have set up photo stream, this can't be done. As soon as you switch off photo stream on her device to keep your photos from coming to her device, you won't get any as well from her. Same for messages, you can't have both, sorry.
Maybe look into the family sharing feature if you want the photos to be shared:
