How do I prevent my iPhone password being needed on my iPad?

Since upgrading to iOS-7 my phone password is needed to open my iPad. Business comms and documents are on my Phone but did not appear on the iPad as under iOS-6. The iPad is a family item. How can I stop this?

  • Syncing photos to a new PC - how do I prevent my iphone photos being wiped?

    Hi,
I've replaced my PC with a new one and therefore want to sync my iphone 3G with the new PC.
I've managed to sync everything bar photos. When I attempt to check the box to include photos in the sync, I am warned that doing so will erase all photos from the iphone.
How can I prevent this from happening? Thanks in advance.
Extra info: I sync my phone with two PCs - podcasts via my work PC and everything else with a home PC. I don't use any hacks or extra software for this.
    Thanks

In regards to pics and itunes content, the iphone will sync with one computer at a time. If you sync to another it will first remove the content from the iphone, then replace with content from the new computer.
The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone.
You need to move the photos from the old computer to the new one, then sync. The iphone is not a storage device. the pics are not of the original quality.
You can e-mail them to yourself, but the best bet is to move them from your backup copy or your old computer.

That started with Lion and progresses with the hillside feline. Ever since that pair got a personality disorder and can't make up their mind whether they're computers or phones, the world went to the dogs.  "Always on" paradigm my azz!

Someone stole my iPhone I have find my iPhone app but it's not working how can I add my iPhone to d app from my iPad???

    Having the app is irrelevant.
The ONLY thing that matters is whether "Find My iPhone" was enabled on the missing device before it was lost/stolen.  If it was not enabled, there is nothing that can be done.

  • How can I prevent my iPhone from making calls on its own?

I often put my iPhone in my pocket. Sometimes I then discover that it is making calls on its own.
    How can I prevent this?
    Thanks.

Turn on auto lock. I have never had my iPhone once do anything without me doing it.

  • How do you reset your iphone password

i forgot my iphone password and its locked now how do i reset my passcode?

If you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

  • Using iphone 5 and 5c on ios7.0.4 and would like to use these on wireless only with no carrier service for voip apps.    how to i prevent the Iphone is not activated contact your carrier?

Hi i am using iphone 5 and 5c on ios7.0.4 and would like to use these on wireless only with no carrier service for voip apps.    how to i prevent the error Iphone is not activated contact your carrier?

when i remove the sim card it gives me errors that there is no sim.
You should only need a SIM in it to actually activate it in iTunes.  Once activated, leave the SIM in or remove it, it should not matter.
Then, turn on airplane mode.  And then, go into wifi settings and re-enable wifi (this leaves the cellular radio in airplane mode = powered off).
Now your iPhone is effectively no more than a (wifi only) iPod Touch.

  • How can I prevent Adobe PDF printer being set as default on first logon on a computer?

    Hi all,
When a computer with either Adobe Acrobat X Pro or Adobe CS6 installed and a user logs on a computer for the first time the computer processes GPO's which define which print queues they are to use.
Unfortunately, once this is done, Adobe PDF Printer configuration kicks off, setting the Adobe PDF Printer as default. This is remedied by logging out and logging back in again, but this is annoying for the users (to say the least).
Since a lot of the users rarely use the same computer on a day to day basis, this is a common occurrence, and I would like to know how I can prevent the Adobe PDF printer from setting itself as default upon configuration.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

    Hi Cato-L,
Are you trying to do on single machine or multiple machines.
Have you got any solution yet.

  • How do I prevent iTunes from automatically putting purchases onto my iPad?

I recently purchased an iPad and am putting my music on it from iTunes. After I put all of the songs on that I want, I find some of the songs that I purchased on the iTunes Store on my iPad, and I didn't even put them on there. It is as if my Store purchases are being put on my iPad automatically. I can't swipe them to the left so I can't delete them unless I wipe all of the music from my iPad - clearing the music off from iTunes doesn't clear them.
Are my purchased songs automatically being added? How do I prevent them from being added?
Some of the songs that I am putting on my iPad are songs that I purchased from the Store, but bought the physical album later.

Are my purchased songs automatically being added? How do I prevent them from being added?
    5502,
You can do that from the iPad itself.
Go into your iPad and touch the Settings icon.  Then, from the left-hand list, choose "iTunes & App Store."
This will give you a section about "Automatic Downloads."  There you can enable or disable Music, Apps, and Updates.

  • How can I prevent my iPhone 5 from being hacked or cloned?

I have had my iPhone 5 hacked! How it's been done I think is by cloning or by some how signing in to my iTunes account as another device but that wouldn't explain how they are using my cell phone network. Verizon says that my phone has connected to other cell towers when I haven't even left my hometown!! So I know it's not my device!! Also my call and data and messaging details are activitys not coming from my cell phone! I notice that when I push the reset buttons in the headphone outlet my phone will run super fast for a few minutes and then go back to super slow!! Also my camera won't work and I can't connect any sound devices to it!! Help!! I pay good money for my cell service and for my new iPhone!!! This has happen to me and I can't seem to prevent it no matter what I try!! I have done factor resets but as soon as I do it it will go right back to hack mode!!

I hand a similar problem with my old Iphone 4. My camera stopped working and internet was really choppy. I took it to the genius bar. They said there was nothing they could do as it was a hardware problem. I told them it happened after a ios update but they said that was most likely not the cause. Then I asked them has my Iphone been hacked they said no like I said it is just a hardware problem and they if I wanted a replacement phone I would have to ask my carrier as I was just out of warrenty. I ended up just waited for the Iphone 5. I would take your phone to genius bar  to see if they can fix it if or a replacement Iphone(assuming it is still in the warrenty period). If genius bar cannot help you could also try your carrier. If you do get a replacement Iphone you should be able to sync some data from your old Iphone to the new one. Also do you have trouble with your Iphone 5 volume adjusting by itself and static sounds from speakers when unlocking Iphone? My Iphone has been having these problems lately.

  • How do I prevent a song from being added to iTunes from an iPhone?

Ok this is kind of a strange question. I recently bought a song from iTunes, but I don't want it in my library or on any of my devices anymore. I delete it from the library, however when I sync with my iPhone (which has the song on it for some reason) the song is appears back in my library again. The song is not part of the playlist that I sync with my phone, so it must have been downloaded onto the phone when I made the purchase. This is beginning to get very frustrating. Does this have something to do with the Cloud? I just want to completely remove the song so that I don't see it anywhere.

If you are using iOS 5 on your phone, launch the music app, tap songs at the bottom to show the list of songs. Find the song you want to delete and swipe your finger across it, then tap the red delete button that appears.
Also, delete it from your iTunes library before you sync again.

  • How does one prevent unathorized iPhone or iPad data sync

It has come to my attention that syncing an iPad or iPhone is relatively easy. So, here is my question, let's say my iPhone or iPad was stolen or maybe "barrowed" by someone and that person decides to sync the data from the iPhone or iPad to there Mac or PC laptops? Now all my information, such as contacts, notes, etc, contained in the iPhone or iPad is synced and transfered to the other persons computer. Even if my device was not stolen, if a person wanted to sync my important data form my iPhone or IPad is possible thus my data would be stolen. This type of data breech could happen at work, home, conventions, hotel rooms, etc... Yes, I know you can do remote wipe-out of data, assuming that you have noticed the thief or your device being "barrowed". So, is there a lock-out to prevent unathorized syncing of data from iPhone or iPad device? I was hoping for a setting that required an access code prior to syncing data, but no such setting exist. Before answering this question please read carefully what I am asking. Thanks.

A passcoded iPhone running iOS4 will not sync with a new computer until the passcode is entered into the phone. You do not need the erase function to be activated for the data to be protected.
I am looking for a way to prevent other accounts on the same mac from being able to sync with my iphone. It seems once you have authorized the iphone on a mac it allows all accounts to access the iphone through iTunes and iPhone Explorer.
Does anyone know how to remove the iPhone/Mac syncing permission once it has been granted?

  • I don't know how to keep info on iPhone from being erased while sync?

I had to format my c: drive and now I'm wanting to sync my phone but it informs me that all data will be erased when syncing. How can I get around this?

Restore the data on the computer from the backup of the computer.
You did backup the data on the computer before formating it, correct?  Not doing so would be extremely dumb.
    iPhones are NOT backup devices.
