How do I prevent new web browsers from starting when I click on anything?

Two weeks ago I updated the latest version of FireFox. Every since then around a third of the time when I click on anything in a web session or press enter, a new session will open up asking me to downloaded the latest version of Adobe or some add-on, etc. This is very frustrating.

If the malware clean-up doesn't clear it, could you review your extensions and see whether any have crept in that might be causing this problem?
You can disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > ''on the left side click'' Extensions
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Any improvement?

Actually, in testing something else with Thunderbird as the receiving email client, I found that blanks in the Full Name entry box works when the recipient does not have a history with you. My earlier tests were from one account to another of my accounts, but viewing the received message in Mail. Mail knew the address so added the Full Name from history. The Thunderbird I was testing another issue with, was a virgin installation, and had the same recipient account, but not the sending one, setup. In Thunderbird only the actual email address came in, and no name.

How can I get new tabs to automatically open when I click on a new site (rather than replace the existing page I am using)?

For some reason when i click on to a new site or link, tabs no longer automatically open so if i forget to manually click on the little plus sign at the end of the tab strip, my new destination replaces where i currently was. This was not the case in the past and I cannot find where to reset this so that a new tab will once again auto create. !
I tried options/tabs: open new windows in a new tab instead, but this did not fix the issue. Can anyone tell me what i need to do get firefox to create auto creat a new tab when i move to a new link rather than replace the one currently in use? Thank you!

You can middle click a link to open that link in a new tab.

Hi - you have will have to change the device passwords on all the base stations and then don't give them to anyone except the administrators and tell them not to save them on their computers that use the older versions of the Airport Utility - for the newer versions like the mobile apps, as soon as you enter the pasword it is saved and is visible in the advanced pane along with the network password - so if anyone gets a hold of your iPad or iPhone, they can edit the whole network - I have this same issue with my networks in the office and it is inconvenient but doable - I hope this helps

After -reluctantly- "upgrading" from Acrobat Pro 7 to Pro X I find this new version absolutely maddening.

As you can see, when I add a checkmark to a page/form, a "note" is automatically added also. In my old Acrobat v. 7, this did not happen.
Any ideas on how I can set Acrobat Pro X to NOT include this note?

Hmm.. probably not.
You want to open Mail. Then go into Preferences > General and you will see something similar to this:
In the area marked Default Mail reader click on the pull down and at the bottom of the list it will say Other. You can see if you can select Safari here and if that will open up Safari.

You can prevent it from being printed by applying a security policy to it
in Acrobat. The rest can't be prevented, unless you spend a LOT of money
on DRM protection.

Simple answer:
do not use the email address when sending or replying or forwarding emails. Sending is not automatic, you have to generate the email and click on a Send button.
You could use an smtp server that will not allow sending using the incorrect server for the email address, so that it cannot send, but if you accidentally use the email address you may get an error message, but at least the email will not be sent. Do this here:
Tools > Account Settings for the mail account.
bottom right Outgoing Server - select one that will not accept sending using wrong email address
OR
in Outgoing Server(SMTP) select the server you are using for that account
click on 'Edit'
deliberately make an error in the server name - remove the port details etc.
So the details are wrong and cannot send.

it is not clear to me if you are having problems with calling java code from OIM or if the problem is the web service API.
Lets do some divide and conquer:
Can you create a simple java class that just writes a couple of lines to the log? Please attach this code to the OIM task and make sure it runs.
Once this works we can start looking at the web service call.
