How do I prevent someone elses AT&T email coming to me

For a couple of years I have been receiving someone elses emails from AT&T confirming payments to yourselves and it as taken me till now to find some way to contact you via email. Contacting you by email as appeared impossible untill I happened on this method. Why you don't have a simple email address for someone to report things like this God only knows.
The info I get includes:-
A/C ending ****
A/C no. ending ****
Latest confirmation ****
Payment 07/20/2015
Amount $149.00
I live in the UK and have no a/c or dealings with AT&T. Please get these emails stopped. Let me know what you can do.
Thank you

To stop your emails you need to do two things.  First, go to Your Stuff - Profile- Manage Email Notifications (in the upper right hand Actions box) - either check individual threads to remove or click in the top box which will check all the threads and then click on Remove Email Notifications.
Second, also in Your Stuff but go to Preferences this time and then Email Notification Preferences.  Check no for each of the notifications you want stopped.
That should stop all the emails from ASC.
You might also make sure that you haven't subscribed to one of the communities by mistake.

  • How can i have someone elses music in my ITUNES - HELP!!!!!

I have someone elses library in my itunes. So much that it asks me for the password to sign into her yahoo account. I still have my own personal library but how can i have another person who i don't even know?!?!!

Go into your Preferences and disable the 'Shared Music' option.
You may be picking up someone else's iTunes via your Internet connection.

  • My password protected phone was stolen and hacked into.  How can I prevent someone like this from hacking into/getting around the passcode?  They now have access to everything on my phone (I had a passcode to prevent this)

How can you prevent a hacker from bypassing your iphone passcode?  My phone was stolen and someone hacked in and has access to everything on my phone and turned off "find my iphone."  This is exactly what I wanted to prevent from happening and the reason why I had a passcode.

Turn on "Erase Data" in Settings>Passcode. That will wipe the data after 10 incorrect password attempts.
Turn off "Simple Passcode" in the same place and use something other than a 4 digit pin as your passcode.
Also make sure Find my iPhone is enabled so you can locate and if necessary, forcibly wipe the phone.

  • I am seeing links appear inside my website that I did not create. This problem is not occurring with IE9 - just firefox. How can I prevent someone from putting these strange links in my site.

Someone is putting links inside my website - I did not create these links and do not have any idea who has put them on my index page. How can this be prevented and how can the links be removed. I have overwritten the files but that does not help. This problem does not happen with IE9 or any other browser, I only see these links when I use firefox to load my site (prevailingword.net)

    Which links do you mean?
I'm seeing nothing on the main page or are they on one of the other pages?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

  • If you have multiple devices on the find my iphone how do you prevent someone from accessing those other devices if your device is stolen

I have set up the find my iphone app to be hooked up to my phone, computer, ipod and my family's devices. Thru the find my iphone app you can delete the hard drive of any device to keep a theif from getting your personal information. But lets say my phone is stolen, is there a way of preventing the person who stolen my phone from being able to delete the information on my computer?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your device should have it's screenlock enabled so that this can't happen, but if you haven't set a screenlock, then yes someone could do this.

  • How do I access someone elses photo stream

  • How do I unlock someone elses icloud accounts

How do I unlock an icloud account? Can get hold of the person using the iphone before

You can't, and Apple won't do it for you(unless you're the original owner); the activation lock is an anti-theft measure. You may be able to get a refund for it.

  • How do i see someone elses ical on ipad on my mac at home

HT has new ipad with ical on it, which I need to export into my ical at home on a desktop mac, however she doesn't have any of usual options that I can see, such as export, so how do I find her in order to view her calendar from home?  I don't seem to be able to set up an icloud account as that option doesn't appear in my system preferences folders. (am i too old?) Basically all we want to do is get calendar in a format where we can produce pdf's to post on fronter website system and print off as a booklet.  Thank you

  • How do I remove someone elses DRM locked library from my itunes library?

So, a long time ago I let someone upload their ipod into my computer so they could save their music and I could benefit from their library.  However, it turns out they didn't remember or immediately have the password for the tracks they were uploading, all of which had been bought from itunes and all of which were drm locked.
Is there a way to only remove the tracks which I am not authorized to play from my computer?  I'm rediscovering this problem as I've moved my library from an old computer to a new computer, so I can't filter them out just by organizing by 'date added'
    Any help would be apreciated.

Photos in the ?Camera Roll can be deleted by tapping on Select, then selecting the photos to be deleted and finally tapping on Trash.
Photos in albums that were copied to the device by syncing with your computer running iTunes are deleted by syncing again. But before clicking on Apply or Sync deselect the no long wanted albums in iTunes. Finally click on Apply.

  • How can I prevent someone from deleting history?

My son keeps deleting his history. Can I prevent this?

If you want to restrict the sites your son can go to, you'll need to get a different web browser that allows site restrictions/filtering. The McGruff browser and MobiCIP are a couple I see regularly mentioned. Install and configure such a browser, then disable Safari and installing apps in the Restrictions.
    Regards.

  • How do I prevent someone from receiving my iMessages on my old iPhone?

The new owner of my old iPhone is receiving iMessages that are intended for me (by simply "texting" me). People say when they "text" (fellow iPhone/iMesssage" friends), the messages bounce back. Is there anything I can do on my end to prevent this from happening? I have changed my iTunes ID & password... Many thanks!

You need to log turn imessage off on the old phone and change your Apple ID password.
Delete the phone from your profile in https://supportprofile.apple.com if you registered your phone there

  • How do I replace someone elses IPAD data with MY ipad data (effectively borrowing someone else's for a work trip)

Borrowing a co-workers ipad for a biz trip. (Mine was just stolen!) Need to wipe his data and re-synch with mine. How do I do that?

Tap on his id in Settings > Store to log out of it, then remove his content via Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings, you can then log in with your account via Settings > Store and sync your content from your computer.
Has he copied his purchases off via File > Transfer Purchases when connected to his computer's iTunes and made a backup of his content so that he can copy it back on when you give it back to him ?

  • How can I prevent the S5's screen from coming on when charging completes?

I got my S5 today and it seems to have a "feature" that will be very damaging to the OLED display.  When it's done charging, the screen comes on and stays on.  I've been going through all the settings I can find and don't see anything that will prevent this.  Since static images burn into OLED screens, this is the last thing I want.  It's done the same thing several times.  My old phone (Galaxy Nexus) didn't do this.  When the Nexus finished charging, it did so with no fanfare.  The screen stayed off.
When the S5 is locked and the screen is off, there's no reason for the screen to come on for anything short of a phone call.  It certainly shouldn't come on and stay on just because the battery finished charging.  And, any time the display does come on without user input, it should turn off again automatically if it's idle for the length of the screen timeout.
I've got "Smart stay" turned off and "Screen timeout" set to 1 minute but, after it self-activates, it stays on indefinitely.  I've let it go for 20 minutes and the screen is still on.  How can I fix this?  If I can't get this behavior to stop, it's going back to the store.  I'm not paying $600 plus tax to have my lock screen burned onto my phone because I charge it at night.

Okay I've tried safe mode.  Let it run down to 98%, plugged it in, locked the screen, and waited.  A few minutes later, the screen came on showing the 100% icon at the top right, full battery icon just to the left of the time, 100% text to the left of that.
I'm not going to do a hard reset until I have confirmation that this is not normal behavior for the phone because that's going to take hours of my time and gigabytes of data transfer to get all of my media and apps back on the phone and configured.
After all my griping, I do have to give credit where it's due.  This phone is much more efficient than my Galaxy Nexus.  I left the S5 running in WiFi hotspot mode while on battery last night.  It still had over 50% left on the battery.  The Galaxy Nexus would be stone dead after about 4 hours.  I can live with that if I have to but I'd really rather be able to leave it on the charger at night.

  • How do I prevent attachments from embedding into email messages in Lion on an Exchange Server?

I work in an Exchange Server environment, one of only two Macs in a building filled with Windows machines. When I was using Snow Leopard, I had to send attachments to my fellow workers using the same mail server via plain text messages, so that the attachments could be saved to their hard drives as separate files. If I tried to send attachments through html messages, they wouild automatically be embedded in such a way as to inhibit them from being saved to their hard drives.
Not the best solution, but it worked, unitl now.
Now that I've upgraded to Lion, the plain text work-around no longer works. As was explained to me by an IS person with more knowledge than I, that for some reason, Lion is automatically encoding attachments sent through the same mail server to users on the same Echange network as an embedded image, which can't be easily clicked on and saved as an individual file to some destination on a given computer.
I sent an attachment with Lion's mail to a PC user outside my company, and no problem. He is using Windows 7 and checked his mail remotely. In my company most people are using XP. The IS guy told me that for now, I will have to compress "zip" all of my attachments before sending until Apple solves this problem with Exchange server software.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, any other solutions? Will Apple address this problem?
    Thanks,
    Carl

I have heard of this situation before, but, like most Apple Mail problems, it is a problem on the recipient's side. There should be no reason that a recipient can't save an inline image from an e-mail message. For years, Apple has bent over backwards to construct messages that PC clients will be able to view. Obviously there are limits as to what they will do.
If you want to follow the standard procedure and hack up your e-mail for the benefit of others who refuse to upgrade, you can try Attachment Tamer. You could also try Microsoft Outlook. This won't change the underlying problem. It will just make it Microsoft's problem to deal with.

  • How do I disable someone from reading my emails?

I have thunderbird installed on a PC which is used by multiple users. I have set up the master password for thunderbird, yet one can read the emails from my account without inputting the master password.

In a Windows OS .... Control Panel > User Accounts
Create a User Account for yourself and set it up as Administrator. Create a password for yourself.
Create other User Accounts for other people or create a 'Guest' user account which anyone can use, without any password.
Make sure to 'create a password reset disk'. This option is available in Control Panel > User Accounts. This is not obligatory, but I would advise you to create one just in case you forget the password.
Your Thunderbird Profile folder containing all your emails etc will be stored within the User Account. Only access to the User Account will allow access to reading the emails.
