How do I preview .eps or .ai files in Bridge CC?

How do I preview .eps or .ai files in Bridge CC?  I only see the icon thumbnail and the file name but not a preview pic of what is in the file.
Thanks!

Sounds like normal, expected behavior, but…
A lot more information about your hardware and software is needed.
BOILERPLATE TEXT:
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CC", but something like CC2014.v.2.2) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too,
etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster, who is not a Windows user).

  • HT2493 How to change preview image of a file and NOT the icon ?

    Hello dear Mac users
How to change preview image of a file and NOT the icon ?
I know how to change the icon of a file, but I wish to know how to change the preview of any file.
For example: my file is "mysong.aif", I changed the icon to be "mylogo.png" using cmd+i, cmd+v on the icon. But the preview of the file still remain the same.
I know it can be changed using iTunes, but I don't want to import all my files in iTune, and iTune cannot import all type of files.
I hope someone will understand my needs...
    Thanks!

    Thanks BeerbarX

    what are the plugin ?
In the case of a music file, it will be that generic black box with a note on it
That is exactly what I'm asking about !
MP3 which has a special tagging standard that can include artwork
How can I "tag" my MP3 without going thru iTunes ? Is it possible to do it dirrectly in the Finder ? Is there other type of files that can include such tags ?
Thank you for answering my question , wich I have to admit may seem useless, but I wish I could put something like a signature logo on each of the different file I produce (as AIF for music and MP4 for video clip) instead of that generic black box with a note on it, and by the meantime keeping a different icon for all of them in order to illustrate theire content.

  • How to Show preview of adobe illustrator file on web browser

    Hi All....
Is there any possibility to showing preview of adobe illustrator file on web browser through Flex or Flash or any other application.
    If any kindly suggest me.

    Hi Mylenium
    Thanks for all your suggestions..
While Googling on this issues I come to know that Illustrator file can be exported in XAML format with the help of a small plug-in, and that XAML file can be use in Microsoft silverlight. Then we can preview our Illustrator artwork on web browser. Also we can select each artwork (line, point, shape etc) on design view (on Microsoft Expression Blend). This is what I required.
Here is a link for Illustrator to XAML Exporter

  • How to batch convert .eps into .ai files?

    Hi everyone
I have over the years gathered a huge asset library of all kinds of graphic design assets. Now I need to put this into a system and I want to use Bridge since I'm a freelancer and can't afford another system (my library is over 40GB).
My problem is that lots of the files are in .eps format (bought in bundles etc.) and I can't stick keywords and more on them in Bridge.
So I've been looking all over the internet for the last two hours trying to find a way to batch convert 100's (if not 1000's) of .eps files into .ai format (preferably the CS4 version - I got Creative Cloud, but I also work in CS4 with some clients still).
I have not found an answer I can use yet Some talk about a script and show lines of code, but I don't know how to create/make/save/install a script from pure text so it does not help me.
Preferably it would be possible for me to make a folder called "eps" and a folder called "ai" and then just put every file into the "eps" folder and then I can sort them afterwards.
Does anyone know a solution to my problem?
In advance thanks for all help and suggestions
    - Kenneth

    Try

  • How to turn off eps saving backup file as filename -01.eps?

    Hi all,
I'm not at sure how I came about this/which box was ticked in saving options but whenever I save eps files, Illustrator will also save another backup file with '-01' after the filename and before the extension '.eps'. Also, whenever I save the document (as opposed to 'save as') a dialogue box will appear asking me if I want to replace the already existing file. Obviously I do.
My question is: How do I turn this option off?
NOTE: as far as I know, this problem of mine is only limited to .eps files, or more precisely it doesn't seem to happen when saving .ai files.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Larry!
I can't see the relevance in "Use Artboards" and saving a back up but I'll take it.

  • How can I preview multiple pics in photoshop? Bridge is no longer.

On my computer when I went to bridge, it said discontinued and I was unable to use it, so I went to photoshop and encountered problems there, also. I uninstalled evrything and have to reinstall. Hopefully, that was the problem. Thanks to everyone that posted.

Aaah, what was discontinued was a dumb web page set up by Adobe called Bridge Home and added by default to the Favorites panel in Bridge.
Not  only can you disregard it, but you should just drag its icon from the  Favorites panel in Bridge to the Trash in the Finder to get rid of it.
Anytime  you reinstall the appliacation, it will again be placed there by  default.  You can just trash it again when that happens.
Once you delete that discontinued Bridge Home page from your Favorites panel, you can—if you wish—add the URL of the new web page that led to the discontinuation the Bridge Home one to your Favorites panel:

  • How to preview a .PAT file in Bridge (Photoshop Pattern File)

How can I preview a pattern (.PAT) file in Bridge?  Bridge seems to be able to preview just about anything, but .pat files just show up with a default PS icon.

I don't see that as one of the supported files in Bridge (preferences/file type associations), so would guess you have to live with default icon.

  • How to get Preview to be Safari's default PDF viewer

I mistakenly downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader, after being advised by a state tax website.  I wish I had first tested my existing configuration because Safari/Preview had always worked just fine for viewing PDF (with the Feds!), but I didn't.  Adobe A. Reader "asked me" if I wanted to make it the default reader of PDF, and mistake number two, I clicked yes.  Then I realized I didn't like A.A.Reader compared with Preview, so I threw it out (I coudn't find any uninstall function). After that Preview worked for PDF files already on my computer, but not in Safari.  Safari Help said there is a toolbar that can be accessed by putting the pointer over the bottom center of the (SafarI) browser window and then 4 buttons are supposed to appear, one saying "open PDF with Preview."  I cant seem to get this toolbar to appear!
I hope there is someone clever out there to tell me how to get Preview to open PDF files in Safari again.
Message was edited by: blckhed     OK, just like the mistake I made with A. A. Reader, I should've looked through the discussions 1st (blame it on tax fatigue) because I found the answer in response to "Adobe Reader messed up Preview & Safari for me.  What now."  I removed the offending AAP plugins from the Internet Plugins folder (Mac HD>Library>Internet Plug-ins) and everything is back to normal.  Thanks Apple Discussions!

What camera model/make are you using?  If a later model ACR of CS4 might not cover it.

ink this may be a activation problem

If I do that it doesn't get any bigger just makes the window bigger, not the image
If that is the case something is wrong with your set up. The slider bottom right  Yammer p pointed you to does alter the size of the thumbnails, not the panel itself.
Top right are the workspace names, at the right of it is triangle, click on it and choose reset workspace. Otherwise restart bridge holding down option (mac) or control (win) when restarting bridge and choose reset preferences.
If still out of luck provide more details about your computer (RAM / VRAM) OS version and exact Bridge version.

  • Show up "linked files" in Bridge not available for files on Drive Volumes?

If I save an InDesign file on my local hard drive, and put some pictures into that layout, I'm able to see placed documents in Adobe Bridge, indicated with a small chain symbol.
I'm also having a preview of my InDesign file in Bridge, and can flip through all pages of InDesign file.
If I save the same InDesign document and placed documents (and refresh links to source: Drive) on a Drive volume, the preview is gone, and also the possibilty to show up placed documents.
That's a really necessary feature for us, is there an explanation for that behaviour?
I'm working on a Mac Pro 4.1, running Mac OS X 10.8.5 and using Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign CC, Bridge CC).

    Hi,
I'don't know if you have resolved this issue since last year, but for your information With Adobe's Dam (eg AEM DAM) the issue remains...
Just as an improvement to your problem, with the AEM DAM we get the Thumbnail of the Indd File (but only for the first one I guess)
but the main issue eg the listing of referenced files is still missing.
The issue happen also, with referenced files in AI and Photoshop files.
In the last version of PhotoshopCC it's allowed to "place" external files in PS layers and keeping that link "dynamic".

  • What determines how a PDF or EPS file is opened??????

Hi I was wondering if anyone can tell, what determines how a PDF or EPS is opened in Photoshop.
If I open a PDF in photoshop, the first thing that pops up is the settings for which you want it to open. i.e., color mode, resolution, you choose what you want and then open.
I always thought that how the file was created determines the initial settings in which photoshop displays in that little dialogue box. (for example, if I open an illustrator eps file that I created in photoshop, it always prompts the correct settings (300dpi, CMYK) I click open and it works great.
But when I open a PDF in photoshop it always displays the color mode as RGB, not cmyk. Which i find odd, because I know there is no RGB color space in the PDF.
Today something weird happend, I created an Ad in Indesign, every image I am certain was 300 dpi, and the rest are vectors. Exported it to PDF with high resolution settings, but when I opened it up in Photoshop, the settins dialogue box promted it as 72dpi, which again I find odd because I know each image is 300, the rest are vectors, and I know the PDF preset to which I exported it creates high res images.
Does anyone know what determines how a PDF or eps file is opened in Photoshop and why photoshop is rendering a PDF in which I am certain is hi res, to a low res?
    Thanks for any help. Kevin

    >Hi I was wondering if anyone can tell, what determines how a PDF or
    >EPS is opened in Photoshop.
Nothing, really. EPS provides this info openly in its header, but it is not always right, so PS cannot even assume it would be correct to use that info. For PDF it's a different story. PDF is a container format that can contain any number of items in mixed resolutions and colorspaces, hence PS cannot assume anything. Likewise, you can have multiple pages, links, multimedia content, all of which may influence the result upon display or rasterization...

  • How to convert Oracle reports previewer output into delimited file.

How to convert Oracle reports previewer output into delimited file if the report has more than 1000 pages.
I tried with previewer option File --> Generate to file --> Delimited file, but the report engine is crashing. Not generating .TXT file.
I observed that this option is not working for more than 400 pages.
I am using Oracle reports 6i version.
Plz suggest me to generate .TXT file from Report previewer.

You can specify a delimiter (a character or string of characters) to separate the data (boilerplate or field objects) in your report output in either of the following ways:
On the command line using the DELIMITER keyword.
In the Delimited Output dialog box or DelimitedData Output dialog box (displayed with File > Generate to File > Delimited or File > Generate to File > DelimitedData) in Reports Builder.
