How do I print a booklet from a non-duplex printer in InDesign 5?

I want to print a 16-page, 2-up Saddle Stitch booklet, so I need to print odd spreads and then flip them over and print even spreads. I can't select which spreads to print in the print dialogue box though.

I don't know if this shot of my dialog box is clear enough, but the pdf image previews as two landscape A5 spreads on a sheet of A3 paper. It's ok on the front and back cover though. I want one A5 spread per A3 page as the PDF is. I haven't fond a way to do this yet...any help would be gratefully received...

If you're talking about the "short list" then click on other and then uncheck the ones that you don't want displayed. If you're talking about the long list, then you will have to browse to the folder containing the profiles and then delete them manually.

Print a PO from a HP laserJet printer.

Hello All,
Could you please help me in finding out the solution for below issue.
" We have a requirement to print a PO from a HP laserJet printer. This has to come in Landscape. For that we have copied a device type HPLJ4 and a formato type as Z_LEGAL. We are un sure how to maintain the device type. Like the entried added for Printer Initialization, Reset after Exit, End of page, End of line etc. Who is supposed to maintain the same. Is it ABAP or who?. Is there any note to know how to maintain the format type and can we raise a ticket with SAP to provide the same.

How to start a contour move from a non-zero position

Hi,
I am using a PXI 7344 motion controller under LabVIEW 8 to do a vector contour move. How can I start the contour from a non zero position ? I want to use absolute position mode. The test requires the x axis to move to a known distance and wait for a known time (more than a 1 hour) before the contour starts.

Unfortunately the zero position is inserted at the beginning of the
array points by the firmware. As far as I know there is no way to stop
this happening. The only way to get round this is to use reletive
positioning and keep track of the current position.

I also wish I could print my calendar from my ipad, it's crucial for my business yet they forgot to put a print option????? How hard would it be?? A screen shot doesn't help, on my wifi printer it reduces the image by one third? They say computers make like easier, but do they? We spend so much time just trying to get stuff to work, we can never really do what we need to, without having to talk to seven hundred people to find a hard to work solution.

Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?

Suddenly, when I print a Selection from an email, it prints out about 10 blank pages and somewhere in there, the selection I wanted.

I'm using Firefox 12 on Windows XP. Things worked fine until just this evening. Now when I choose Print/Selection in my email, it spits out multiple (like, maybe 10 or more) blank pages with just a header/footer on them. I've followed the instructions for reseting the Firefox printer setting AND Reseting all Firefox printer settings and it still does it. Everything prints fine in Internet Explorer. This printing issue is getting REALLY tedious. I don't want a complicated workaround, I just want to print a selection. NOW why isn't it working?

Thanks, Cor-el, but that question addressed a problem I had with FF11 (that was only fixed when FF12 came out). FF12 worked fine for printing selections from emails perfectly up until yesterday afternoon. Reboot didn't help, even after reboot when I preview what I want to print (thank goodness for that option, or I'd be going through a lot of paper) it's still showing the page of text I actually want to print, then 6-8 blank pages afterward. This is not happening with every email, I have noticed ths morning. It now happens with email sent from (or to, as a reply) a yahoo account in Sweden and email sent from (or in reply to) a gmail account in Canada. These previously printed fine. Other emails will print maybe one extra page. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why it would suddenly start doing this. Should I look at the source code? What would I be looking for?

How do I correct odd page upside down while duplex printing?

My MX870 prints every other page upside down while printing a catalog in duplex mode. How can I correct this? The catalog was written using MSWord 2007. Obviously, I can manually duplex the catalog. I am praying there is a solution to be able to automatically duplex.

After 3 days of futile efforts to solve odd page upside printing in duplex print. The problem was solved as follows:
Go to the print menu
1. Go to quick setup
select "Preview - Duplex - Paper size - Orientation [make sure document and printer orientation are the same}
2. select "page setup "
on page layout select "normal size print" - "duplex automatic" - "stapling left side"
Print area setup "select - used reduced printing" Selection of " use reduced printing" is the key to solving the problem
3. Problem solved

Printing weekly calendar from Sunday want to print from Monday

Since upgrade with Yosemite can only print weekly calendar from Sunday. Wish to do from Monday. Can anyone assist please.

The printed calendars start on the same day that you have your calendar set to start on. You can change that in Calendars Preferences:
Change the days and times displayed - Calendar Help
Choose Calendar > Preferences, then click General.

Printer prints over wifi from phone won't print from computer wireless or wired

Hello,
My Grandad got his new printer today, I went to help him set it up we followed all the instructions the printer works because it prints over wifi from my Iphone but when we try to use the printer on his computer it doesn't print, I have installed all the software and uninstalled any software that could conflict with it but it is not working, it doesn't print over wifi or wired with the computer but does when I use my phone.
Printer : Hp Officejet 4360
Computer : Emachines running windows vista 32-bit
Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Sometimes you do have to restart everything again, including the Router - even after you have installed the Full Feature Software.
If that does not work (restarting the Router), you might try this:
Remove the Printer software from Control Panel > set icon view > Programs and Features > Right-Click on the program > Uninstall
Shut down the computer
Shut down / Switch off the printer
Switch off the Router
Wait around for 2 minutes...
Switch on the router and wiat for it to boot completely - say, 1 minute.
Boot the computer and log in
Switch on the printer
Install the Full Feature Software for the printer following the instructions:
Install Full Feature Software – Printer

Printer not selectable from drop down when printing any pdf file. Printer is available when printing any other file format.

Client is running Adobe Acrobat X. When trying to print their Ricoh printer can not be seen in the drop down menu. The Printer was added locally and the printer can print any other file format.

Your ps file should be good, the problem likely resides elswehere. Maybe in your acrobat install, distillers settings. what error did distiller give?
Mine ran good and got a multi page document, here is a screenshot to help you troubleshoot.
On mac go to system preferences / print and fax / and change your default printer if you have another option. I know sounds like this should not help, but there are problems like Illustrator for example not making .pdfs if you do not have a printer chosen or an old or corrupt .ppd assigned.
