How do I print a saddle-stitch stapled magazine on 11x17 paper in adobe reader?

Pretty much says it in the title. I can print as a book and have all the qualities I need except the option to saddle stitch staple and fold it. If I go to booklet format, it shrinks, prints multiples on the same page, and just gets weird in general.
For the record, I'm using a PC laptop and adobe reader 10.1.

I did a search and found this which seemed right on the money.
Use Cocoa Booklet to create a booklet with any number of pages (best in a multiple of 4). Create your Pages document in Letter-size as normal & then Export the Pages document to a PDF. Launch Cocoa Booklet & open its Preferences. In Paper Size set the Paper Format to "Personnalisé" with the Width 17 x Height 11 (measuring unit is set in a drop-down menu at the lower left of this preference window. Leave the default margins. In the Destination preference, select Yes for Add a suffix? to avoid overwriting your original PDF & click Save. The choices in the Options preferences are all left unchecked for your tabloid-size document. Then drag the PDF to the icon of Cocoa Booklet to will create a new PDF in booklet form.
I think I followed it exactly. I still printed 2 pages side by side that measured 4.5X6.25 not 2 pages that measure 8.5 by 11. I must be doing something wrong. I have spent all day working on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Ask in the ID forum. Sheet layout/ print pagination is usually handled by other software and the RIP/ printer driver, but I'm sure there's some feature for that or a plug-in that can do it, I just never use this stuff since I too rarely use ID...

What type of device are you printing to, sounds like it is driven by a RIP (which is imposing the booklet)
On a Fiery driven RIP, the booklet tab includes a Wizard. By default (our) Fiery does not print on the inside of the cover page.
I prefer to launch the Wizard and toggle as shown.

What you can do is create a new document that is the size of the paper, then place your document in the new document. You can now align your document to the right side of the page.
Now print.
Borders can have two meanings here. You can add a border to an image such as a stroke for example. The other meaning is the printer has a non-printing area called a border.
In the former there is nothing to do as long as you did not add one. In the latter some printers do have a print to edge option, but it has to be a feature of that printer. It would be located in the print options. If the printer does not have such a feature, there is nothing you can do, short of manually cutting the paper with a paper cutter, scissors, or x-acto knife.

Most forms (99% or more) are created for simple text input, where you cannot change anything.
The creator of the form could allow Rich Text input (which allows you to change font, text size, color, etc.), but frankly I have never seen such a form, and I wouldn't know how they look. But I'm sure they would show some kind of controls to alter the text appearance.

I've never found technology to make life easier. It mainly offers the promise (often unfulfilled) of making it cheaper or quicker. This didn't happen when the Girl Guides put a form in an envelope and posted it. But they probably laid off the person whose job that was with the promise of everything being easy on the internet.
PDF has, curiously, become a victim of its own success. A few years ago, you could say to people "You need Adobe Reader" and it was the only serious game in town. So they got it and it works. Now everyone is making their own PDF reader for whatever reason, fewer and fewer people can be sure of having Reader. (PDF readers come at least with every Mac, every Windows 8 system, Chrome and FireFox, which covers a LOT of ground).
This is coupled with a bizarre decision Adobe made a few years ago to have two kinds of form, one of which all the other software fails with (and, as I noted, even Adobe's own software on iPad and Android fails). This was a neat idea which was designed for big corporations. Then the really big mistake: giving everyone with Acrobat the tools to make these new kinds of form, and making it seem they were preferre or the only game in town. This is finished now (Acrobat 11 doesn't include this big boy's software) but the damage is done, oh how it is done.
Even regular forms tend to only work properly in real Adobe Reader. The fact is, if you make or distribute PDF forms you need to tell people to use Adobe Reader, and to know exactly how to help them do that. If people can't do that or their users won't be motivated to bother, then PDF forms are no longer a suitable choice. Sad but true.

How do I print multiple PDFs AND fit them to my paper size?

I'm using a 24 inch wide plotter with roll paper. I want to be able to print multiple PDFs AND fit them to a specified paper size. I can print one page and fit it to the paper, but I can't do it with multiple PDFs.
For example, I have two PDFs that are only 8x8 inches. I want to print them side by side on a 24 inch x 12 inch page size and fit them to size and then FIT them to the page size so the end result will be 2 PDFs printing at 12 x 12 side by side.
I can't seem to be able to do this. I'm sure I was able to do this using earlier versions. As it is, I have to print one at a time and waste half of my roll paper size.
Any help?

How do I open a PDF file in my browser instead of in Adobe Reader?

It used to be that, if I selected a link to a PDF file from a Web page, the file would open in my browser. Now, it opens in an Adobe Reader window. How do I restore the opening in my browser.

I noticed during those attempts that, if I go to [Edit - Preferences] on the Adobe Reader menu bar and then select Internet under Categories, the "Display PDF in browser" check box no longer exists.

Aha! The properties for the plugin file nppdf32.dll for Adobe Reader indicate the file is for Adobe Acrobat. This misidentification is then used by SeaMonkey as a label in the helper application list.
Adobe Reader 11.0.3.37: nppdf32.dll has version 11.0.3.37. This is the version in SeaMonkey's plugins folder.
Adobe Acrobat 7.0.8.218: nppdf32.dll has version 7.0.9.50.
As for having both Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat on the same PC, this generally works providing Reader is installed AFTER Acrobat. Reader is freeware, and I want to keep it current. Acrobat is purchaseware, and I cannot afford to keep buying upgrades or newer versions.

Print dialog slow to bring up and work with in Adobe Reader XI

Since I upgraded Adobe Reader from version 9 to version 11, everyone is complaining about an extreme slow response from the print dialog box to bring up, but to work with it (mostly change printer and browse advanced properties) as well. It may takes at least 6 to 14 seconds to respond some times...
I did not uninstall the previous version before installing the new one. Once I noticed the problem, I used the Adobe Cleaner Tool, and also manually removed the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader and the Adobe Reader folders in Program Files. I restarted the server, then I installed version XI one more time, and restarted again. Unfortunatly, still experiencing same problem...
Adobe Reader is installed on Windows 2003 R2 Terminal servers, on which every users are logging using RDP or ICA protocol. The printers are connected on their profiles from a print server via GPO.
Any suggestions ?

Acrobat 6.0 introduced the concept of a safe path for JavaScript methods that write data to the local hard drive based on a path passed to it by one of its parameters.
A path cannot point to a system critical folder, for example a root, windows or system directory. A path is also subject to other unspecified tests.
For many methods, the file name must have an extension appropriate to the type of data that is to be saved. Some methods may have a no-overwrite restriction. These additional restrictions are noted in the documentation.
Generally, when a path is judged to be not safe, a NotAllowedError exception is thrown (see Error object) and the method fails.

'Print on both sides of paper' in Adobe Reader 10.1.2 + DFS shares....

After the latest update a new print dialog is available which includes the option to 'Print on both sides of the paper'. Our printer (available via a print server in a Windows domain environment), is capable of printing duplexed copies of documents but is configured to default to not use duplex. When the option to do this from the Adobe Reader print dialog is selected the printer driver overides it and the document is printed normally (not duplexed).
Is there a way to hide this option? We often need to print duplexed copies of documents but usually set it in the print driver when it is needed. Because the option is being overidden it has the potential to create an enormous amount of wasted paper and toner and will increase our printing costs.
Also, when V10 was released, trying to open pdf's located in DFS share paths caused the program to hang. The solution was to disable protected mode. I tried enabling protected mode after this update (and previous updates), and restarted the application but instead of hanging, Adobe Reader now displays a message box stating:
There was an error opening this document. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
If I disable protected mode and restart Adobe Reader the document can be opened.

The DFS shares are mapped as a network drive. This is done just once using a batch file that uses the persistent switch. No roaming profiles, no username\application data path.
Since posting this I can now access PDF's, but many of our staff are now unable to scroll through an entire pdf without Adobe Reader hanging. Again, removing the checkmark in the protected mode option allows full scrolling of a pdf.
Disabling/enabling antivirus real-time scanning makes no difference.

Still using XP Pro, can I "print to file" (option) an online bank form, import to Adobe Reader XI, sign it and email it as attachment, without printing first?

I am told by my bank's customer service rep, who believes that "print to PDF" is available in Windows 7, there should be a way to import a form or document to Adobe Reader XI, sign it and save the result in order to email as attachment. I am trying to avoid using a fax machine or a scanner, not yet set up. In addition, Windows 7 is in process of being loaded on another laptop, but not yet complete.

"print to PDF" from what? If the form is already a fillable PDF, then just fill it, save it, and send it via email (or share via Files at https://cloud.acrobat.com/).
