How do I print a series of jpegs as a flipbook?

I have a series of jpeg that I would like to turn into a printed flipbook. Ideally each finished print would be 2x2.5" with a 1.5" white boarder on the left side for binding. Contact page II doesn't allow me to set the margins I want. I am using CS (no numbers following).

If you have the full Creative Suite, you can use InDesign to set up a page with several frames. Then cut/trim to 2x2.5" pieces.
This is not really an ideal task for Photoshop alone.

You can use 3rd party software such as Print n Share if you have a PC or Printopia if you have a Mac.

I came across something similar recently where it printed the left hand side only!
If I want to print an email, instead of File > Print ( does not print properly ) I click on the print icon on my email webpage ( do not use applemail and access gmail direct) which then takes me to print preview showing the complete email which prints ok.
Some webpages ( File>Print) do not print properly and some do. Those that do not generally have their own printer icon (path) that needs to be clicked on.
Maybe something to do with encryption but don't know.

Should be easy ... Make a Custom page with a wider left margin ... easy to set up, but it does not actually work for any printer I am connected to.
Info so far:

Mac Help has a limited, simple, incomplete answer: "Make a custom page"
Tried three printers. One Postscript Level 3 One Level 2 and one non postscript
Switching between page types in the drop down shows a change in the print preview, and the floating information shows the correct page size and larger left margin... but the "Custom Page Size" does not show a larger left margin, in the preview, no mater how it is set.
There also appear to be a relation ship between the radio Buttons for scale and the margin settings.
Test prints have simply cut off the left side of the document, and scaled the document from the right side in and the top down.

Thanks ... tried the Paper Handling, but no lock.
Based on the fact that any scaling, "moves" the image down and to the left on the paper ...
Th only "work around" solution is to ...
Rotate the PDF page 180, then scale slightly (90% or so ...)
This pushes the upside down page, down and to the left.
While this is the opposite of what is desired, the print is then correct when
it is punched and placed into a three ring binder.
Assumption is the application that creates the documnt, needs to have the paper margins set. The reality is, an application like Preview, that does not "create anything", needs to handle existing documents PDF, JPEG and print to Custom Page configurations.
ie: In Preview, Custom Page does not work correctly,

Android devices do not support built in printing liek airprint on your apple device, so you will have to use the HP Eprint Home and Biz app in order to print from that device. It is available for free in the Amazon Market.

It depends on your printer and the application you are using.
In some applications you can choose color vs. greyscale/black&white when you do File > Print. PowerPoint is one example of an application that allows this choice.
Otherwise, you can usually select greyscale at the time you print the document. Do File > Print. In the resulting dialog box, there should be an item called Copies & Pages (in Word and other applications) or Preview (in Preview). Click it. In the resulting list, you should then see an option called Printer Features. Click it. Then you should see an option called Printout Mode. Usually one of the modes is Greyscale or Black & White. Select it. Then Print.
This can also depend on your printer. Exactly what make/model printer are you using? And what kind of document are you trying to print (Word, PPT, JPEG, etc)?

We are having a problem playing a series of jpeg images on Firefox (like a video). It works perfectly on IE, Chrome and Safari.

On this page select “Recorded Images” tab and then click “Play” below the image. Please increase play speed by clicking button with”>>” symbol. Once the images are playing you will notice a flicker in Firefox but the same page will not show flickering in Safari or chrome.

Export to QuickTime Conversion. In format set Image Sequence. In Options pick the format, TIFF would be better than JPEG, which a lossy format. Make folder. Save the images. Process in Photoshop or whatever. Import the images set to one frame or use QT Pro to convert it back to a movie.

How to get thumbnails to indicate whether JPEGs or Raw files?

In earlier versions of iPhoto I could look at a photo thumbnail and immediately tell whether it was a JPEG or a RAW file because the description below the thumbnail indicated such. With iPhoto version 9.2 the thumbnails do not include this information. Is there anyway I can cause this information to be displayed beneath the thumbnails? I shoot JPEG + RAW and would like to distinguish between JPEG and RAW files by merely looking at the thumbnails.

Try this from a different perspective:
Why are you shooting Raw?
In order to obtain the highest quality images my D700 is capable of producing.
When a camera takes a shot a Raw is generated, this Raw is processed by the camera into a Jpeg and that's goes onto your computer.
High end cameras allow you to step into that process. It stops the Jpeg being processed and allow you to bring the Raw data directly to your computer so that you can do the final step yourself: process and out put the Jpeg.
But the point of the exercise is to produce a Jpeg that can be used/shared/printed etc.
The point of shooting Raw is that you prefer the results when you process the Raw compared to what the camera does.
If you think the job the camera does is good, then don't shoot Raw.
If you think it's not, then shoot Raw and don't shoot Jpeg.
Shooting both makes little sense - excepting the scenario detailed in my para above.
On my iMac monitor I’m looking at the thumbnail of the last RAW file I processed. Since a RAW file is not even an image I presume that what I am actually seeing is the JPEG preview you referred to. Correct?
No. The thumbnail is different again. Usually, it's actually a thumb copied from the one created by the camera and stored in the Raw file.
To see the Preview drag the shot to the Desktop from the iPhoto Window - that's it. Open it in Preview and compare that with the Jpeg version from the camera - just visually, not file sizes etc. (I'll come to that later on.)
I do all of my editing in Photoshop Elements, so in order to convert this RAW file I right clicked on the thumbnail and selected “Edit in External Editor” whereupon the RAW file opened up in Adobe Camera Raw.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Advanced, have you selected to 'Use Raw when using external editor' ? If not then you're not processing Raw at all, just the Jpeg preview.

That workflow is quite convoluted
Camera to iPhoto, iPhoto to ACR, ACR to Elements, Elements to Finder (tiff), Finder to iPhoto (Sharpening), iPhoto to Finder (Jpeg) and then Finder to iPhoto.
At the end of it you're left with the Raw, Camera Jpeg, iPhoto Preview, a tiff and a couple of Jpegs, right?
Only one JPEG.
That's too complex and worse, there is no connection between the Master Raw and the final Jpeg. They're not even linked in the iPhoto database. You can't revert from the Final Jpeg to the master Raw.
I can't think of a reason why I would I want to revert from the final JPEG to the master RAW. The master RAW is already available.
Even though my workflow gives me good results it is more complex than I would like it to be. Since acquiring my new iMac last January I have been seriously thinking about downloading Aperture 3 from the Apps Store for a mere $79 and using it to manage and edit my images. Presumably that would give me a less convoluted workflow. A big question will be what to do with all of the thousands of images I have stored in iPhoto--leave them where they are as referenced files or move them into Aperture where they will be managed files. My initial inclination is to leave them in iPhoto.
To use the iPhoto preview just... use it. If you import a Raw and then try do anything with it, email, upload, print etc then it's the Jpeg Preview that is used.
If you process the Raw in iPhoto then the Preview is regenerated incorporating the decisions you made.
If you export (File -> Export) you can use many settings to set the level of compression, size and so on of the resulting file.
Put it this way: I'd be 99% sure that the iPhoto preview will be good enough for sharing by email or online. It may also be perfectly good enough for printing too - but if it's not that's when you export to the quality you prefer.
This is good to know. Sometimes I just want to quickly e-mail a group of JPEGs without having to go through the process of generating JPEGs by processing the RAW files. I previously mentioned that by dragging the thumbnail labelled RAW to my desktop it becomes a JPEG which can then be dragged back into the iPhoto Library. If I'm shooting only RAW is that the best way to quickly obtain a JPEG? By the way, I just did this with one of my thumbnails labelled RAW. The size of the JPEG thereby obtained was 6.3 MB. This is larger than the size of the high quality camera-generated JPEG which is 5.8 MB. This would seem to indicate that the iPhoto-generated JPEGs are of high quality. In a side-buy-side comparison the two images looked very similar except for the iPhoto-generated JPEG being a little brighter than the camera-generated one.
So if I am understanding this situation correctly it appears that I can cease shooting JPEG +RAW and instead shoot only RAW. Then for best results I will process RAW files to produce highest quality JPEGs and for less demanding requirements and for quick responses I can use the iPhoto-generated JPEGs.
Question: Even though I have been shooting JPEG + RAW for a relatively short time I have managed to accumulate a goodly number of camera-generated JPEGs. How can I most readily delete these JPEGs without having to go through my iPhoto library and tediously deleting them one-by-one?

The picture package is not too flexible and contact sheet is not suitable.
It’s probably best to create your own template in expert mode. It’s quite easy to do it manually.
Click File >> Open and select all of your four photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)

I am a professional photographer and I send my jpegs out to a lab (BayPhoto) to be printed. The lab has developed a printer profile that should be used when preparing the jpegs they print so they will look the same on my monitor as the resulting prints.

It's relatively simple.
1. Choose Export from File menu
2. Configure the Export window settings for JPEG at appropriate size
3. Click on drop-down menu for Color Space
4. Choose Other from list. Another window opens
5. Click on Include Display Profiles. This ensures that all profiles are visible.
6. Place checkmark against the profiles you want available in Export then click OK
7. The profiles should now appear on the list
Lightroom will convert the image from ProPhoto (internal colour space) to your profile and embed it in the exported file.
You can also Print to JPEG File in Print module

How can I Print "find/replace" results?

I use "find/replace" to locate all of the jpegs currently used within a site. How can I print the search results. Copu/paste doesn't work It would be useful to print the result as they can number in the hundreds for larger sites.. Writing down the results is a real pain.

From the search panel, there is a small icon on the right hand side for saving your search as an xml file, click this and view the xml file in your browser then print from there.
