How do I print double sided on my mac? (OSX)?
I used to have a windows PC with office 07 on it, and i still have the same canon ip1800. This is NOT a double side supported printer, but in office, it gave me the option to print half the document, and then turning the pages that my printer printed (without changing the order that the printer made) upside-down and printing on them again. This way i got double sided printing, but i want to know how to do this is Pages, Adobe acrobat pro or Preview in leopard. Thanks!
(PS, i'm printing multiple pages, now just one, so i cant just take flip it, and print page 2, etc. That will be very very painful!)
When you choose to print, choose 'Paper Handling' from the printer options menu.
Here are options for printing 'all pages', 'odd pages' or 'even pages', which should do what you want.

I have tried to tick the duplex option under the printer driver tab but this only prevents the document from being printed! I am trying to print double sided from my mac mini... I am currently using a printer cable as I have no network available; when I printed using my ipad and the wifi facility, double sided printing wasn't an issue...
My first thought would be it isn't do to whether you are using cable or wifi to connect. ... Could be on though.
Have you looked on the internet site & seen if there is a more recent driver? wag.

How to print double sided with macbook pro on Samsung CLX-3180?
Hi,
I recently switched to using a macbook pro but cannot figure out how to print double sided/two-sided.
The printer I am using is Samsung CLX-3180 and it allows double-sided printing. I was able to do this with my windows computer previously.
The frustrating thing is that I see the two-sided feature but I cannot figure out how to turn it on. There is no option to change it.
It is listed here.
First, I go to "show presets."
Then, I click on "copies & pages" but I cannot turn it on.
Does anyone know how to turn it on?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Automatic Two-Sided printing is not currently supported by the ePrint Service, as you may find any of the service capabilities and limitations listed below:
Duplexing (printing on both sides of the page) is not supported.

When I try to print from a Word Document, I do not get the choice to print double-sided. How can I make that happen?
Do you get an option for two-sided printing in other programs? What is your operating system?
The driver may need to have the duplexer set as "installed", see the Vista/Win 7 Duplex Printing Troubleshooting Guide here.

How you enable double-sided printing can depend on the applications from whick you wish to print. Example: if I print to my HP PhotoSmart from Safari, I get this print dialog box:
(Edit: OOPS! Note that I forgot to switch printers when i took the scene-shots, so ignore the "Brother" reference. It's should look the same for your HP.
Note the selection labled "Safari" near the bottom. If I change that form "safari to "Layout: I get this:
Note the option for two-sided printing appears for your selection. If I print from Word, the box is different:
The "Copies & Pages" option can be changed to "Layout" when you click it, again allowing the selection of two-sided printing.

I create two pages : Page 1 and Page 2.
Page 1 contains Main Window and some text data in it.....
Page 2 contains a secondary window with some TERMS & CONDITIONs data.
Print Mode Settings:
Page 1 Print Mode : D
Page 2 Print Mode : Space
I maintained all the above in my Smartform ,
but i couldn't get my second page at all and Double-sided print also....
Is there any settings missing or any to be maintained ?

Since I starting using my MacMini (2011 version) I have not been able to print double sided from my HP Photosmart plus - there is no option for this in the Printer dialog box as there was in the similar dialog box on my PC. How do I set up this option?
1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that when you use ePrint, via Google Cloud printing, the documents are printed two-sided. Are you using a computer, mobile device, Chromebook, etc, to access the printer?
If you print from a computer, for example, not using Google Cloud print or ePrint, does it print two-sided on its own?
You can check the Eco setting on the printer's front panel to ensure that the two-sided options are set to "Off".
Check to make sure the printer has the most recent updates installed on the printer, Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates.
