If you have Dropbox installed on any computer(s), your photos are already there. That's the whole point of Dropbox.
Just open the Dropbox folder on any of your computers. Anything you copy to that folder (directory) and anything you upload to your Dropbox account from any computer in the world, will automatically appear in your Dropbox in all of your computers.

When creating a book in iphoto, how can I get all the photos from the album I want to use to show up in the order that they are in the album? When I tried to use the option to add my own photos instead of having the program "flow" them, they showed up all mixed up.
iPhoto puts them in the book in chronological order. So to get your photos from an album into an iPhoto book in the same order you will need to use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option and set them all to the same date with a 1 minute time difference between each.

I have recently bought a new mac mini running Lion, and yesterday I migrated an account off an older machine running Tiger.
I want to delete the older account from this machine as it is causing some problems with i-cloud, but I want to transfer the photos first and add them to a different account on the new computer.
So my question is How do I move all the photos from the i-photo library on one account to the i-photo library on another account?Copy the iPhoto library from the old Mac to the Desktop of the new one. Then download the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager, which is now compatible with Mt. Lion, and use it to merge the two libraries into a new, third library. This will preserve the two libraries in case the merged library isn't to your liking.
Here are screenshots of iPLM's coping and merging preferences:
When you're satisfied that the new, merged libraray is complete and working OK you can delete the two earlier libraries.

Having read another comment on this forum, I think I have the answer.
By going to File>Project Properties, and then turning off the Ken Burns effect.
Don't know how you feel about iMovie 11, but I think its pretty awesome don't you think?

I accidentally delete all my photo in the "all my files".
actually I delete every thing in ALL MY FILES.
How could I back up all the photo?
and other data, such as movies and so on?
Do I need to go to Apple store to back up?
(time machine is turn off)If you don't have a back up then you'll need to use a file recovery app like File Salvage
To back up iPhoto you make a copy of the Library on another disk.

Connect to you're laptop. If you are using Windows:
Click "File Explorer"
Click "Computer"
Click the iPhone
Find "Camera Rolll"
Select all of the photos and delete them.
For Mac:
No idea how macs work but it should be something like the instructions for Windows :-/
As far as Photo Stream, they will automatically be deleted after 30 days and they do not take up iCloud space so you have nothing to worry about.

Why won't all the photos from iPhoto sync onto my iPhone 5?
I am trying to put all the photos from iPhoto on my Mac onto my iPhone 5. Through iTunes, I select sync photos with iPhoto, then sync all photos, albums, events and faces. There are 285 photos in my iPhoto library and I would like to sync them all, but after the sync when I look at the photos on my phone, only 187 synced. What am I doing wrong?
I find the easiest way to transfer photos from iphoto or your computer in general onto your iPhone is to select the ones you want and click share then either iMessage or email them to yourself, its much faster and I don't know about you but i find iTunes to be a real pain when you sync photos because it always messes up your albums on your phone!

I recently picked up a new iPhone6. Before i handed in my old phone(iphone5), I backed it up using iCloud.
Now I can't seem to get the photos from my old camera roll onto my new phone or my Mac. Did I lose all

Recently tried to upload photos on my iPad to the iCloud PL beta and in the process it removed all the photos from my device through the photo stream. No CPU backup of photos, photos are older than 30days. What can I do?
First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

How can i remove all the photos from my iphone 5S that i synced from my computer
Hi All, my iPhone 5S is full of photos (1326) or so. however the camera roll is 827. there is an album named "My Photo Stream" which has 466 from My Computer and under it is "Shared" which has 12 from my computer. Can anybody help me to remove both these albums as there taking up a lot of space and I have tried everything to remove them!!!
On option is to open your my photo stream album in the thumnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. Then import them to your computer using your usb cable (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083). A more convenient option is to use an app like PhotoSync, which will transfer all your photos from any album (including photo stream) to any of your devices (including your computer) over wifi by pressing a single button.

No. iCloud doesn't back up photo stream photos; it streams them to your other devices. If you delete a photo stream photo from your phone it will be deleted from iCloud and all other devices/computers sharing your photo stream.
You can't really use iCloud to store your photos so you can free up space on your phone. If you want to free up space, you'll need to import your camera roll photos to your computer and delete them from your phone as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. If you have photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll, save them to your camera roll so they can be imported too. -
I am getting messages about being out of space on my phone for taking any more photos. I am scared to delete anything with all the photo stream and syncing that happens cause I don't want the photo to delete in many places at the same time.
So, 1) when is it safe to delete from the iPhone? 2) I feel like I have multiple copies of photos stored between the phone, Photos Library in iPhoto and all my albums in iPhoto. Is there a best practice document on how to manage your photos for space savings?

I have accidentally created another account when using Migration Assistant to a new MBA. I have read that I probably should not have skipped migration in the initial set up and the problem would have been avoided but, alas, here I am. Does anyone know how I can 'migrate' all the files from one of the accounts that has been created to the other, so then I can delete it and have a single user on the computer seeing as I am the only person using it? I have read starting again, if this is the way to go, where is the best place to start 'starting again'?
Yes definitely should see it but its not coming up (I don't think) when I log out of 2nd user and into the main account. Opening finder in the 2nd account, I can obviously find the public folder because thats where I dropped all the files, but when in the main account, it can't be found. The only public folder that comes up is the folder for that account (main account) and it does not display files I'm looking for. Frustrating....
EDIT: Have found it through a round-about way but all music and photo and movie etc files have a red stop sign disallowing them from being transferred. Can you guess what the next question will be? -
How to import songs AND all the data from iPod to iTunes?

I am looking for a tool that can import more than just the music from iPod to iTunes. I have tried several apps to no avail. (many mentioned in another post here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1576568&tstart=15 )
I "upgraded to iTunes 9", but then my library disappeared the other night. All my music and video files are there intact, but the iTune Library.itl was wiped.
It gets even worse. Not knowing iTunes had lost my iTunes Library.itl content, I accidentally deleted all of the old library files (stored under "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder) and then de-fragmented my computer. So now the ".itl" file cannot be recovered in anyways as every data block on the HDD is overwritten.
Adding the music folders back into iTunes does NOT transfer all the metadata (play count, last played, rating, genre, last skipped, times skipped, track number, comments, artwork, lyrics, etc.). This information is VERY important if you have over 5k songs like I do.
Alas, there is another way to recover my library file. All this metadata information (as well as the music and video files) are available on my classic iPod with its massive hard drive.
The challenge is finding a tool that would transfer the metadata as well. And so far after trying 6 different titles none transfers all the metadata. They all change the "Date Added" field with today's date. The ideal tool needs to keep that field same as it is on the iPod.

They have a free trial version where you can backup 6 songs from each playlist, so try it out if you think it's worth it.
