How do I put back my boyfriend's preferences on his side of this DELL optiplex 330?

I had been getting potential problem results from every recent scan with Malwarebytes. I Searched using Windows Explorer. I could not find the exact letters at the end of the items that were on the scan results. I found items that had the first few "sections" of the problem items and I deleted those items. The items were for the Firefox profile on my boyfriend's side of this computer. Now, I can't load Firefox on his side, though my side is fine. I uninstalled and re-installed Firefox. When I did that, I was on my side of the computer. I thought that Firefox was for the whole computer. Everything went fine and my bookmarks are intact. I uninstalled and re-installed Firefox on his side also. I still can't get Firefox to load on his side. A grey box comes up that says that the profile is missing or inaccessible. I tried to troubleshoot from Mozilla Support according to the directions to reset Firefox preferences. Still nothing works to get Firefox on his side. Please tell me how to fix this. There's only one Firefox installation, but if you use separate Windows accounts, then you have separate Firefox profiles.

It sounds like you deleted the Firefox profile, which contains personal data like bookmarks and passwords. Do you have a backup copy of the profile folder, a folder on the desktop named something like "Old Firefox Data", a copy of the folder in the Recycle Bin or in a security application's quarantine area? If not, then the only thing you can do is start from scratch with a new profile.
First, verify that the profile is gone. In the Windows account with the problem,
# Press the Windows logo orb to bring up the Start Menu.
# In the search box, type the following and press Enter: ''%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\''
# In the Windows Explorer window that opens, do you see any folders listed? Especially a folder named ''<random string>.default''?
If there's nothing there and you don't have a backup, start over.
# Press the Windows logo orb to bring up the Start Menu.
# In the search box, type the following and press Enter: ''%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\''
# Rename the ''profiles.ini'' file to ''profiles.ini-defective''
# Start Firefox. The profile manager shows.

Thanks, but impractical. Many of the folders have more than 500 emails. Total is about 2 GB (which I have free on iCloud btw)

How can I "Put Back" a time machine backup from the trash to my external hard drive?

Basically what happened was I accidentally put an older time machine backup from my external hard drive into the trash on my macbook. Since then, time machine has made new backups onto my external hard drive. How can I either "Put Back" or replace the deleted backup back into my hard drive?
Whenever I try to move it it says "A newer item named “Backups.backupdb” already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it with the older one you’re moving?" I click replace and after a few minutes of loading, it says "Cannot replace. An item named "" already exists."

As long as you don't delete the trash, the files should be recoverable.
I suspect using the Put Back command could take a long time, so be patient.
If your Time Machine backups are mixed with your daughter's backups you might want to buy a larger drive and move the Time Machine files to the new drive.
Regarding missing photos in iPhoto...There might be options to rebuild/recover that data from iPhoto rather than trying to revert to a Time Machine backup.

I like the Seagate USB 3.0 Backup plus drives. Works on USB 2.0 ports. They come formatted for PC but easy to format in Disk Utility.
I don't recommend Western Digital because of the boot problem with some of their drives.

Right click up where the menu bar should be, it will have a list of options. You will see menu bar as the top option. Just click it and it will check it off and reappear.

I'm guessing that you deleted the MDM profile in Settings -> General -> Profiles, is that correct?
If so, the only way to get them back is to re-enroll the deivce into the MDM. Not sure how your school did it in the past, but it would have either been done by having you log into an enrollment page or it could have been deployed with Apple Configurator.
You will likely have to contact your school's I.T. department to get the MDM profile added back to your iPad. Once that is installed, all of the other profiles and apps will re-install on your iPad.

I selected to let Firefox install the update. After the update was done. A message came up and stated the new version of Firefox does not support the add-ons for Macfee virus software. How do I switch back to the previous version, that does support Macfee virus software add-ons? In the mean time I will have to switch back to IE until this is resolved.

Your Anti-virus application is not disabled, just one silly little McAfee extension for Firefox.

Skygo doesn't sign in on any of my browsers (mozilla, google chrome and safari, previously it had worked for firefox and chrome, now none of them work) and I have no idea how to fix this. If I could put the security settings back to their original form then I could then see if it was a security problem.
