How do I put logic in beginners mode

If you do not have Garageband or a previous version of Logic installed, LP X will be in "beginners" mode, which doesn't mean the program becomes much easier, there are just certain functionalities unavailable.
You can set this up in Logic Pro>Preferences>Advanced Tools
    My setup:
    "Beginners" mode:

  • How do I put ipod in recovery mode?

I am locked out of my IPOD touch as my kids put a passcode on it and now I have to connect it to I tunes but I dont understand this all

Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414  ( https://discussions.apple.com/thread" - A restore erases the iPod. If you restore from backup the iPod will be like it was IF the iTunes library includeds all the synced media like apps and music since those are not included in the backup.")
If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password)

  • How may I put in stand-by mode the monitor of my PC by VI command execution?

SO win98 P200 MMX; I need to put monitor in stand-by mode by VI command and restore the active state after some operation in order to low monitor noise on acquisition instrumentation.

    Hello Stefano,
In theory you should be able to do this. What you will have to do is find out which contains the function to put the monitor into stand-by. I am guessing that would be in the driver for the video card or it could possibly be in the windows system dll.
Once you locate the correct library then you can use the call library function in LV. There is a good link to a walk through here on the dzone, just type 'external code' in to the search.
    I hope this helps,
    Doug

  • How do I put my buddy list on a different screen-name?

    Hello,
I have a screen-name on iChat, and then decided to get another one. Is there an easy way to get my first buddy list onto my second buddy list?
    Thank you.

    Hi Dice333chill,
    There are two main ways.
    1) With the AIM applictaion there is a facility for saviing the Buddy list to your comuter and then chaing the Account and importing th e list.
    2) The Second way is make sure your Buddies are identified in the Address Book as Buddies in some way and then dragging them back to the new ichat Buddy List.
There is one problem with the scond method and that is some Buddies with just accounts names in the Buddy list do not show up in the Address Book until more info is added to their Address Card in iChat. These Buddies will need you to do a Get Info on them (Click once on the Buddy and then use the Apple Key and i Together and select Address Card from the drop down in the window that appears). You will need to Add eitehr Real names or some other unique identifier to show up in the address Book.
The problem with the first method may be the need to download AIM
The actual iten you need is in the File menu as Export.
So the real answer is no.

  • How to publish a page in list mode?

    Hello:
I would like to use Oracle Drive for content management. I would like to be able to navigate trough the pages and subpages like folders and subfolders.
    Thanks.
    Thierry

From your screen Capture it looks like you did save the selection as Alpha 1
That your in quick selection mode because if the red overlay
In Quick Selection save selection will not be an option
You can save the selection by dragging the selection in the channels palette to the new channel Icon
You can also load the selection using the load selection icon in the channels palette then use Save Selection
You can leave quick selection mode so you see the marching ants and then use save selection

  • How do I put calendars from my Macbook onto my iPhone?

I have had a Macbook Pro for for about a year and a half, and have used the calendar app regularly for things like medical appointents, exam dates, class schedules, and more, without having problems with it. I got an iPhone a few months ago, and I've loved it, except for one thing: I can't find a way to move any of the calendars that I use on the calendar app on my Macbook onto the calendar app on my phone. I figured it would be easy since it should basically just be a question of syncing one Apple calendar app with a mobile Apple calendar app, but it doesn't appear to be that simple.
Since there's nowhere on the iPhone Summary page that appears in iTunes when I connect my phone to my computer that has anything to do with syncing calendars, I discovered that the answer lies in iCloud, so I set that up. But, still, none of my calendars (or reminders or notes, for that matter) that are on my computer have moved to my phone, or vise versa. I've checked all of my calendars on the checklist in the iOS calendar app, and I'm sure my iCloud is set up the right way because I read alot of other tech support discussions about calendar syncing before resorting to this.
My iPhone would be so much more useful to me if I could figure this out. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks,
    Sam

Calendar is already toggled under my iCloud settings. I've turned my phone off and then back on, and that didn't work. Or, by restore, do you mean that I should revert my phone to factory settings and then sync it back up? I'm not sure if I want to take the time to do that...

  • The new toolbar lineup in recent versions of Firefox is bad. How can I put the tab listing back where it belongs, as in v3.6?

Never mind. I found where the answer was hiding.

You can also open the Bookmarks menu via Alt+B to see the Bookmark All Tabs item. It isn't show if you use the mouse to open the Bookmarks menu.

  • How to sort Reminders (in List mode)?

How do I sort Reminders (in List mode) in chronological sequence according to due date?
It works automatically in iCloud via web browser, but apparently not in the iPhone Reminders app. Please help. Thank you!

Apparently, Apple thinks you don't need to sort them. They will thus appear in the order you create them. This is also bugging me though, along with all of the other problems with this app. (not possible to set due date on iPhone)
Oh, if you want to help, submit this "feature" to Apple at this page:

  • How do I add to do list to doc?

Adding a "to do" list to your Dock?
Maybe this meets your need. In Finder, open the Applications folder  and look for the Stickies application. Drag it onto the Dock. Any of its note windows can be used for temporary info like a 'to do' list.

  • Thunderbird keeps crashing, and I don't have it up long enough to put it in safe mode.

How do I put it in safe mode if I only have 5 seconds? I have already disabled suspicious add-ons but now the crash times are even shorter.
Also, for several months, I haven't been able to update thunderbird. Could this be linked to the crash?
    thanks for your help,
    Marina

Are you using McAfee anti virus?
    according to this article http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode#Mac_OS_X
    Mac OS X
Hold down the Option key while starting your Mozilla application. (If the Profile Manager opens, select a profile and then hold down the Option key again while clicking the button to start Firefox, Thunderbird, or SeaMonkey.) [5]
As an alternate method, go to Utilities (in the Applications folder) and open Terminal, then run:
    For Thunderbird:
    /Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/MacOS/thunderbird-bin -safe-mode
If you have installed the application to another location, modify the path as such. It's the "-safe-mode" command line parameter that's crucial here.

  • In ios 7, how do I get the calendar to open each time in list mode?

In ios 7, on the iphone 5, how do I get the calendar to open each time in list mode? It always opens is strange new mode and goes to list mode only if I click the search icon.

For some weird reason beyond my comprehension, and I am a smart fellow I think; Adobe starting with acrobat/reader 8 has decided to hid the menu icon Ribbon (i guess you would call it) until you have a PDF open. In versions past if you had these icons on the screen you could actually use them to open Pdf's or create pdfs from scans.
Pesonally for me its a dumb idea. But was justified as allowing for more screen area to view. The guy that thought up the idea should be taken out behind the barn and given 10 licks for stupid ideas. :-)

  • Calendar gone in list mode with 4.1

After updating to 4.1 on my 3G iPhone, the appointments are all blank in List mode. They appear briefly then go blank. Going to Day or Month and back to List restores them.
Anyone else seeing this or know how to fix?

I rely on the iPhone calendar a lot. With some trepidation after reading this thread, I just updated to 4.1. I use mobile me calendar. Now, when I touch the iPhone calendar, it opens up in List view, then goes blank, then the spinning wheel starts, then back comes the List view. This all takes approx 2 seconds in toto as opposed to maybe 8 seconds before I updated the software. Fortunately I don't have the problem that some of you have in needing to swap back & forth between Views to get the List view to come up. Maybe it works better with mobile me than with other calendars?

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
    iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code, then skip Step 9 and restore as New.
If you really do need to put it in recovery mode (DFU):
Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
       1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
       2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
                  * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
      3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
      4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
      5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
      6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.
