How do i put linux onto my macbook?

I have a Mac OS X Macbook and i want to put linux on so i can put limewire on linux. I think you have to partition it. Is there any easy steps to doing this? And should i partition them on my macbook?

There are Limewire versions for Mac OS X. You don't
need to install Linux to get Limewire. Note,
Limewire's vast majority of uses are illegal, and
because they are user to user transfer medium without
any protection against possible fraud, you might find
yourself with software that claims to be final
release, that is beta, songs that are of poor
quality, and video that have key features missing.
In addition, most Limewire clients open up your
machine to a variety of potential hacking because
ports get opened up for you to share your own
software, which could potentially cause someone to
hack your machine. It is better to use known high
quality sources to download software, get music, and
video. Mac OS X has its own command line which you
can learn about through the Applications ->
Utilities -> Terminal, and its own X11 interface, if
you want to add X11 based software using the X11
installer found on your original installer disks
that came with your MacBook.
If your uses for Limewire are legal, many have found
gnutella a better limewire client than Limewire
itself. You might find other clients on

If you still wish to install Linux on your MacBook,
Parallels offers support for Redhat and other Linux
software distributions for Intel that will work on an
Intel Mac:

Mac makes great hardware and Linux could do some great things with it.
The only reason I don't run the Mac OS is because of the Mac community. I can't stand to have my hand held, or my intelligence and opinions questioned by some Mac geek who doesn't know jack about anything but Mac.

I just had this problem today!, but i have a SOLUTION ,
right click the finder icon and click "go to folder"
type : "~Library/ Application Support
Find the minecraft folder, Backup your Saves, (drag the saves folder onto the desktop) *OPTIONAL*
delete the minecraft folder, not the application.
Open the minecraft Launcher (it will take a while to start up)
Put in login info and when its loaded up, press "play"
The blue bar will take a minute or two...
And then... it should start normally
U dont need to repeat the steps every time u open Minecraft. You can later replace the saves folder with the new one back to where it was whenever you want at the same place where it used to be before. Hope this helped!

You can connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy it over to the Movies part of your library.
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the film studio allows it, you might also be able to re-download it on your Mac via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

Ok first off, Graffiti LOVE your icon. And you do make complete sense and as for try, I kinda figured that was the case. One folder with all the files ARE in word, yet these are in PDF in another folder. Why they were not all done in Word at the time I have NO clue. I'm going to assume it was the IT guy's idea.
I'm sitting here stressing b/c I can't find a way to do this and now I find out it's not a good idea to have ANYTHING in PDF as well as NOT being able to transfer to word with in reason and to make it look as it did.
So what it boils down to is I will ultimately have to do it individual and convert on my own. Pretty much make a new format in Word and transfer all the information one at a time, GREAT. My 2nd week here at work and this is what I have to look forward to FOREVER lol
I will, however, make me a format I can handle and easy to do, idiot proof as it were.
I appreciate all of your information. In the back of my mind, I knew the answer, but wanted to clarify before going to my supervisor (who has NO clue about computers or the fact some things can't be done. more of why CAN'T I do it, you know) and see what I can do from there.
The man purpose is to have continous access to that file instead of multiples b/c of the IT limiting PDF to 2 pages. YAY for me

Go to a Office type store or online and buy a copy of Windows 7 Home Basic, Home or Pro (whatever) and stick the 64bit DVD into the computer.
You'll have to first learn about Bootcamp if your going to want to dual boot, it's complex and a hassle, but gives full hardware performance.

Another way is to first install VMFusion, Parallels or VirtualBox and then install Windows into that, Windows runs like a file in a window on OS X. You can run Windows programs in that, but it's not as powerful as BootCamp method, but more convenient for most normal (non-hardware taxing) programs.

Then you purchased it from Apple. They will send the complete boxed set with a serial number. Whatever you downloaded is most likely just a trial version.
If by "download" you mean how to install on the computer, then you have an installer DVD. On or in the box you received will be the required serial number. You might see the following:

You'll need to import the tracks into your library first, then add lyrics via Get Info. one track at a time. Files in .wav format don't have tag support and can't take lyrics.
