How do I put my laptop music in the cloud

Have new iPhone 5s and want to put my iTunes music on the cloud. The only music showing is purchased. Have an extensive music library on my Mac computer. How do I upload that music in tithe cloud?

To upload your library to the cloud, you need iTunes Match:

  • How can I download ALL my music from the cloud to an external device?

This seems simple enough, yet I've had nothing but problems downloading all my music in the Cloud to my Mac OR to an external device (preferred).
How, exactly, is this accomplished?  Many thanks for any direction.

Download all purchased music from iCloud.

  • New to ipod, how do I put my own music into the into my ipod?

New to the ipod and I'd like to download my own music. Looking at the manual it just says open the internet on your computor. It doesn't explain any further . Please help.

You need to copy the music onto your computer's iTunes library first.  Then, it's a snap.  Configure the sync characteristics to duplicate the music onto the iPod just like purchased music.

  • How do I synch / download my music in the cloud to my ipad?

I have a music library currently backed up in icloud.  I am wanting to download the music to my ipad (synch it) so that I do not need to be connected to wifi or cell service to listen to the music.  I have adequate storage space however I cannot figure out how to synch the music.  Itunes on my pc doesn't seem to allow this?  Seems to always just allow me to download each song from the cloud as I want to listen to it vs. allowing a mass download.  Also most of the music is content that I uploaded vs. purchased from itunes.  All is in the cloud however cannot synch any of it to ipad.
    Help please.  Thank You!

The right way to consolidate your music is to copy it from one computer to another. You can copy music from an iPod classic though:

When the music is all in the same library, sync the Touch.
You will still need to authorize your computer to play purchased music. For that, use the Apple ID that was used to purchase it.

  • How can i download all my music from the cloud so it is always on my wifi only ipad

I have a wifi only ipad with music stored on the cloud.  I want all the music to be on my ipad so when I don't have wifi, I still have access to the music. How do I do that?

Download the music. Go to the purchased tab in iTunes and download the songs. Are you using iTunes Match?

  • How do I put a track back into the Cloud?

My library contains tracks marked as having been removed from the cloud. I didn't remove them and running Match doesn't help. These are songs purchased from Apple. How do I get them back onto the cloud? Thanks,

    Hi,
Go into iTunes library on your computer, select the tracks and then ctrl click and select add to iCloud from pop up.

  • How do I put a video hosted in the cloud within a gallery?

    Hi
I am creating an app in siena project that has many short videos, 400, 20 mb each. I want to use to classify a gallery, the problem is that I host them in the cloud, on the subject of space, but I don´t know how do it.
Can anyone give me some idea?
With excel I could not do it.
    Best regards
    Javi

    Hi Javi,
If I understand you have about 400 videos (20mb each) stored in the cloud. Each video should be addressable using a Url (e.g.
    http://MyServer/Video1.mp4).
The first step is to create a one column table in Excel that list the 400 Url. Something like
    Url
    http://MyServer/Video1.mp4
    http://MyServer/Video2.mp4
Make sure to create a table (see
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/create-or-delete-an-excel-table-in-a-worksheet-HA010013764.aspx for additional help) and save the Excel file.
    In Siena, you can then:
Import the table from this Excel file by going to the File-Data Source menu and choosing Excel data source.
Add a Custom Gallery, select its template (click on the Edit icon) and add a video visual to it
Set the Items property of the gallery to the table you imported
You will then see the 400 videos in the gallery.
Let me know if you run into any issues.
    Thanks,
    Olivier

  • I have put all my music in the cloud, it used to just come straight to my phone from cloud now for some reason on ios7 i have to download music

my music will not come onto my phone from icloud unless i download songs. On ios6 it would come from cloud straight to my phone

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iphone. Only if you back up your phone manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
    Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

  • How can I download all my music from the cloud to itunes?

I have several hundred songs in the Cloud that I am attempting to download to my local PC iTunes. I have clicked and clicked and clicked on eligible songs, but nothing happens. I get a ghost text window "Download from iCloud" but nothing happens. I have the most recent version of iTunes. This is the PC that I sync my iPhone to and I don't want hundreds of songs in the cloud as they have proved difficult to play. I have spent days downloading all of the songs to my iPhone, but I have had no luck downloading any to iTunes. What am I doing wrong?

If they are on the phone, simply transfer them to the computer.
Connect the phone to the computer.
In iTunes, right click on the phone and select "Transfer Purchases".

  • How do I backup my music in the cloud to my mac

How do I back up my music from the cloud to my mac?

One of the key steps that you'll need to take is (after signing into the iTunes Store) open the Preferences & choose the "Store tab".
You'll then be able to make sure that the "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" is selected.
After that, you go to your Library - where you need to select "Music" - be it your songs or your albums. At this point you may see an iCloud icon right next to the selector - or not; if you don't see it, then you'll need to select "View" from the iTunes menu bar. You will then see on the drop down menu list either "Show Music in the Cloud" or "Hide Music in the Cloud"; that's your toggle which you use to unveil your Music in the Cloud icon.
Now there is just one more preference that you may need to use to see all of your iCloud icons and that is also found right under "View"; it's "Show View Options" where you may need to check the box labeled "iCloud Download" from among the various "View Options".
So now that all of your preferences are set, you can plainly see which songs that are in the Cloud (the ones with the Cloud icon right next to the song or right on the album).....or if there is no Cloud icon then it's already in your library or has been downloaded into your Library. To download a song or album just click on the Cloud icon & it begins to download into your library.
So now you can choose which songs &/or albums you wish to download or re-download - depending how you wish to manage your iTunes library - which I won't go into here as there are so many options in addition to what we've gone over.
I hope that I've been able to help as there are so many preferences & options, indeed.
    Enjoy
    mm~

How do i put my first 5gb of phone memory, music in particular, on the cloud to make room for downloads on the device itself

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't upload music to your iCloud. If you want to have music in the cloud and not on your phone you will need to use iTunes Match or iTunes in the Cloud
