Some of my songs didn't transfer to my cloud. How do I put these songs on my iphone so that I can listen to them in addition to the songs that made it to my cloud?
Right now, I can't transfer songs from my laptop to my iPhone unless I turn off iTunes Match 1st. Once the songs are on there, I turn iTunes Match back on, but then the songs that I just transferred over dissapear...
Please help!I'm having the same problem, some of my songs will transfer but not all of them. It seems there are alot of people having this problem and apparently Apple doesn't know how to fix it. All my songs were purchased through itunes so they all should upload to any apple device. Sorry I'm not any help, maybe Apple can finally do something about it.

I just downloaded the new iOS 5.0 and did all of the backup prompted steps beforehand, but I can't figure out how to get all of my apps and music back on my iPhone. Where did they go and how can I put them back on my iPhone?

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

If you mean the name you assigned to it, then connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click in the name of the device in the iTunes sidebar, press RETURN to activate the field, change the name, press RETURN again.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Have you failed to do this?
If so, not good, then you may be able to purchase third party software to extract the music from your iphone. This is not supported by Apple. -

Go to Settings>iCloud on your phone, make sure you are signed into the iCloud account that contains your contacts, the turn Contacts to On. When prompted, choose merge.

Right-click the track in your iTunes library. Choose Get Info, and go to the Info tab. Type what you want into the Artist field, and then OK out.

Here is my scenario. I just got a phone, it had a bad wifi antenna and a funny pixel, so Apple replaced it (thank you). Since I had only had it one day, I had only done one back up in itunes. So, I decided to start from scratch and delete the backup. When I plugged in my phone for the first time, it went through the process of first time "iphone meets itunes" set up. I notice now, I just have a name of "iphone." I thought before I actually had my name "my name's iphone." Is there any particular reason that didn't happen again? How do I modify the name of "iphone" to my name?thanks. I starred it for you. I wonder why the first phone put my name in there and this one didn't. Everthing I did was the same.
Further:
I changed it in the itunes left column. Does that name not carry over to iTunes-Preferences-Devices??

1) Click on 'Devices'.
2) Locate your iPhone.
3) Click once on the image - this will open up to show the contents of your iPhone (much the same as it used to)
4) Click once on the name of your iPhone. This will make the name editable.
5) Click 'Done' to finish and save.

Unfortunately it is not doing it....
Let me give more details..We have 3 iPods and 2 iPhone4....I recently purchased the iPhone4 and when we connected it..It was already reading my wife's iPhone4..We went to the Apple Store at the Grove today and was told to de-authorize the system and connect my iPhone4 back and I should be able to change the name.
Nothing happened..Right now, I clicked on RESTORE settings...and it is uploading a new iPhone update.
