I would love to put some of my own home movies on my viseo ipod , any clues ? tried copyimg into itunes folder no luck there .

First, do your movies play ok in iTunes? If not then I guess they won't work on the iPod.
If they play ok in iTunes then they have to be in a valid format to play on the vPod.

Converting to MPEG-4 is going to take a long time depending on the duration of the content. How long is the clip you're trying to encode?
If you want to edit out the parts you don't want with QuickTime then encode with something faster, that's an option, too. When you save the edited version, you can save it as a reference movie, then drop that reference movie into iSquint.

It's much faster and has a simple interface for higher or lower quality. Try that to see if it's fast enough. If not, there are other options as well (for example, using the reference movie directly in Keynote).

Hello, it seems that you can mirror your Mac desktop on your Apple TV if you have a very recent Mac and OSX Mountain Lion. The other alternative is the very efficient third party software called Air Parrot (http://airparrot.com/)
I've just started using it with my Mabook pro Mid 2010 running on Mountain Lion. It works perfectly well and only costs 10$... Hope it can help

Moving my own movies to my iPod

I recently bought a 80gb iPod and I am extreme happy with it.
Apart from a very nice collection of music, I also stored pictures on it that are very dear to me.
Now I saw that iTunes also allows to place movies on my iPod, but as far as I can see only movies I bought through iTunes.
Is it somehow possible to store also my own movies on my iPod, so I can watch them any time I like and show them to my friends?

How to restore ipod via itunes while ipod is in disk mode?

I am trying to restore my ipod via itunes. My ipod is corrupted and I can only connect it to the computer while the ipod is in disk mode. After ipod is connected and in disk mode, the first stage of restore via itunes begins, the bar appears, fills up and then disappears. Then my ipod seems to disconnect from the computer and begin an infinite reset loop algorithm. How do I successfully restore my ipod while it is in disk mode?

You will need an app (or apps) on your iPad that is capable of reading the documents, as they will be saved with the app - if you don't have such an app then there is nothing to transfer them to or to read/access them.
One method of transferring them is toconnect your iPad to your computer's iTunes, select it's app tab, and then scroll to the bottom of it - you should the apps That you've got that are capable of file-sharing (if you've got any). Selecting/high-lighting one of them should then allow you to add files to it via the box to the right of it.
An alternative way to get the documents onto your iPad is if the app that you want to transfer them to has a wifi setting, which will then allow you to transfer the documents wirelessly. You can also send the documents to yourself as attachments and then use Mail's 'open in' facility to copy them into your chosen app.
