You can't directly. Your best bet may be to use a cloud service such as DropBox, Media fire or Box to store them prior to deleting. From any of those services you can download to a computer and then to a USB drive or other external storage.

These are the only two compatible with both. The latter can handle large files. FAT32 is only capable of up to 4 GBs per file.

You don't need special memory cards. If the card slot in your Macbook doesn't recognize the memory card you may have to get a card reader. You can get one for about $10 at many places.
If you create a CD from the Share ➙ Burn menu in iPhoto the CD that results will be only usable by Macs running iPhoto. To burn to a CD so a PC can use the file you need to export the photo to a folder on the Desktop and then burn that folder to the CD with the Finder.

Getting an error when I try to put an ISO onto a USB stick using disk utility

I am getting "Restore Failure Could not validate source - Invalid argument" when I try to load an ISO as a source and put destination as a USB drive. It asks me if I want to erase it, I confirm, enter my root password and then I get this error. I could find no combination of an ISO or a USB drive that would work. Same error always. How do I do this? Do I need to use a different program?

I am trying to store I-Photo files onto a USB-stick, keeping the file (with an average of 50 photos) in tact. Is this possible and if so: how, please? I have tried clicking on 'export' and then click on the name of the USB-stick. But by doing this all photos seem to be stored separately, under their image number - and not under the file name. Which makes it near impossible to easily refind the photos on the USB-stick.

If I understand correct your post you are confused with difference of loading procedure between real smartcard and SDK simulation. It is a fact that simulation uses its own loader application and smartcards usually use GlobalPlatform card manager application. To load CAP file to the GP compliant card it is necessary to use sequence of commands such as INSTALL(load),LOAD,INSTALL(install+make_selectable). I do not know any specific java API to perform this loading with any reader. But there are few software programs from various card producers. This software is usually distributes toghether with smartcards.

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.

By postcard format do you mean crop the picture into a postcard shape?
If so, here is one way: Activate the Rectangular Marque tool. Set Style to Fixed Aspect Ratio, and enter the dimensions for Width & Height. In this example I used a standard postcard size of 6" x 4.25". Open your picture, draw out the rectangle, and Image > Crop. The picture will now be in the 6 x 4.25 proportion.
To get it to the actual 6" x 4.25" size, do Image > Resize > Image Size. Check the Constrain Proportions Box, and enter either the true Width or Height; the other dimension will change accordingly.
If this is not what you are trying to do, please be more specific.
