How do I put photos in the cloud?

I was wondering how to upload my photos to the cloud

Go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with your Apple ID to create your account, and tap Photos in Settings>iCloud and turn on My Photo Stream.  After that, new photos added to your camera roll will automatically be added to your photo stream when your iPad is connected to wifi, has the camera app closed and has at least 20% battery life remaining.

Want to save memory how do I move photos to the cloud on iPad

    Hi Bsbraley,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Photo Stream is a service that can be enabled on your iPad, iPhone and computer.  This will not move your files from the iPad to the cloud, but it will make a copy of your last 1000 photographs or 30 days of photos in iCloud.
If your goal is to backup your photos so that you can delete them from your iPad to free up storage space, then I would recommend you import the photos to your computer.

how do you delete photos from the cloud?

    Hey linsfrombrandon,
The closest you will get to have your photos live in iCloud and not taking as much storage space on your iPhone is by using iCloud Photo Library. What it does is makes your Photos live in iCloud but also appear on your iPhone and other iOS devices and computers. It will be the exact same so any changes will be reflected everywhere. When they are on your iPhone, there is an option to use a compressed version. Take a look at the FAQs page and let me know if you have any other questions before making this decision to turn this on. I would also make sure that you have a safe copy of your photos before moving forward.

  • HT204053 How do I access photos in the cloud

How do I access photos in the cloud?  I've downloaded them to a laptop but I'm unable to delete them from the cloud.  it's used up all of my storage and I can't backup my iPhone because I don't have enough storage.

If you're talking about photo stream photos, those don't take up any of your iCloud storage so deleting them won't save any space in your account.  You can delete them using your phone by opening your my photo stream album, tapping select, tapping the photos and tapping the trash icon.  Be sure to copy them out of the my photo stream folder on your computer before doing this or they will be deleted from your computer too.

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you've deleted them from your phone, they may have been removed from your back up, if you have them in photo stream, you should recover them as quickly as possible.

  • How to download just photos from the cloud

How do I download just photos to my iPad 3 from the cloud? I can't do a straight cloud download because I have a corrupted app that caused my cellular to do work.

YYou may have misunderstood my question. I had to have my iPad restored to factory setting as cellular would not work. Cellular did work then until the Genius used the cloud to reinstall everything. it was determined that an app had corrupted my iPad. So he had to do it again. i have been applying some apps but still need to get the photos that were on the iPad back on it again. I do not use the photo sync feature between devices for photos.

  • How do I download photos from the cloud to an Iphone 5c

My wife's iphone 5 got destroyed and she got a replacement iphone 5c, and none of her photos are there, how do I go about trying to download them from the cloud.  These photos were only taken on her phone, and her itunes is on a PC not a Mac.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"The cloud" just means "her account on a server somewhere." Since you're asking how to get her photos out of the cloud, the next question is, which cloud storage service was she backing up her photos to? Apple iCloud? Google Photos? Dropbox? Flickr?
Once you know which service she was using, all that should be needed is to log into that account on her new phone. For iCloud, she would log in from the Settings app and then turn on the Photos switch; for non-Apple cloud photo backup she probably needs to download that service's app like the Google app or the Dropbox app. Once she is logged in to the service she was using, her photos should be accessible and downloadable.

That's fine. With cloud services, the server is the central location and the device doesn't matter; any compatible device (Mac, PC, phone, tablet etc.) can upload or download files with the cloud server.

  • How do I Delete Photos from the Cloud?

If I delete a picture in the new Photos app on my Mac is it then deleted from the cloud, too?   This is the behavior I would prefer.
I know that is not the case if I delete from my iPad, which makes sense because of it's limited storage capability.
But I see my Mac as the master controller.  I get the feeling that even if I delete it from my Mac it is still in the cloud.
    Does anybody know?

Well, I can answer my own question.       I did an experiment and deleted two pictures from Photos on my Mac and then I logged into the iCloud via Safari and checked to see if they had been deleted from the iCloud, too, and they had.   Hooray!

  • How do I put photos in the iPhoto Library onto my external hard drive?

I used an old iMac for years and I would go into the hard drive in the Originals folder and drag each folder onto the external hard drive. That way I could easily find the different shooting sessions. Now with my new Mac I find an iPhoto Library folder but none of the pictures are there. In asking other questions over the last 6 weeks I've learned that if you click certain keys on the keyboard you can bring up the folders to view. Am I supposed to do this or is it asking for trouble? What is the best way to get my individual folders in iPhoto onto my external hard drive? Thanks so much.

*It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss*
That way I could easily find the different shooting sessions.
The Events feature will do that for you now in the iPhoto Window.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto. With 10.5 you can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
    Regards

  • How can I put photos in the layers palette so I can put one over the other.

How can I take 3 photos that are in the project bin and place them in levels so that I can use portions of each photo, and layer them?

Open a blank, new file from the File menu (File>New>blank file). Enter the width & height of your paper stock, resolution 300 px/in, background white, or any other color.  This will be your canvas. Ideally, the resolution should be the same value as that of your 3 pictures.
Open picture #1, and with one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, select the object that you want
Go to Edit menu>copy to place it on the clipboard
    Go back to the canvas
Go to Edit>paste, and the object will be on its own layer.
Use the move tool to position the object, and to resize with the corner handles of the bounding box
    Repeat for pictures 2&3
