How do I rate and organize my apps?

It appears iTune 11 still doesn't have a way to locally rate (or see my ratings in the store) for apps! There is also no obvious way to organize apps.
Am I missing somthing?

First you need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so. With your iPad connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPad.

Fulltime student and a new cloud member. Having problems with first project. I can't nor can the instructor figure out why I'm not able to rate and label files in Bridge CS6.

It is a long standing issue rating and labeling are not the same in all circumstances but clicking in the preview window might be a difficult wish to fulfill. There are many ways to use Bridge but if you like big previews consider this:
In the Bridge prefs advance tab select 'generate monitor sized previews' (this should create good full screen previews)
Then either select a bunch of files in the content window you want to judge or just start at the first file.
Hit space bar and full screen preview starts showing (when all files have been cached it should take very less time or real time to show good previews.
With arrow keys cycle through the files and with cmd + . or cmd + , (comma, I now realize I had it wrong in the other post) to increase or decrease ratings. All the keys are adjustable with only one hand and very close to each other. And clicking on a spot does show a 100 % preview of that part.
But as said before, so many users, so many workflows

How do I sync and keep my apps?

My hard drive failed on my Imac and I had to have it replaced. I have an ipad 2 with alot of paid apps. how do I get them back on my itunes account? Everytime I go to sync it says its going to delete my ipad and replace it with nothing.

How do I collect and organize files into a new folder without breaking the links to my media?

I'm new to premiere pro, and learned that I probably should have figured out where to organize all of my files from the beginning, but in the post production phase, I have a bunch of audio and image files sitting all over my desktop, and I'm afraid that if I move them, I'll break the links to all of my media. Files I edited in CS6 Photoshop and Audition are of special concern (considering they get automatically routed to my desktop).
Does anyone know how I can collect all of the files and media that were imported into my project, and and archive them into a folder without breaking the project's links to the original media? Perhaps there's a way to copy all of the files and move them into that folder, so that when I move the originals, I'll still maintain all of the links in the copied version?
I tried using the project manager tool, but received an "unknown error message" each time I ran it.
Any organizational insight would be much appreciated!

How to sync prod and QA planning app on a daily basis

Hello All,
We're planning to schedule planning app backup from production to QA on a daily basis so that we have a fall back option available incase something goes wrong with production. Please let me know what would be the best way of doing that? Or if you have some other simple solution, that would really help! Thank you!
We're expecting below objects would be updated on a daily basis in production and those need to be brought in to keep QA in sync:
---->Planning outline/Essbase outline
---->New user security filter creation
---->Essbase Data
The options we've thought:
---->Use LCM to automate the backup process (Not sure how to do that, will go through the document)
---->Use ODI to automate the backup process
---->Schema Copy from production to QA
Things to note:
Using system 11.1.1.3
Simple planning apps with max 2 GB data

1. When I copy all the tables from production planning app schema to QA, do I have to take care of any specific information like (shared services url registration) in QA?
Also, every night I copy the schema from Prod to QA, I'll have to copy the entire shared service schema as well. Correct?
2. I'll definitely explore LCM, but I am not sure if LCM can be scheduled through a third party scheduler or not.
3. I was going the utility exist in planning applications. Is there any utility which can be used to export the outline, security from production apps and import it back in QA planning apps? That would be nice as we could create the batch files using those utilities and call the batches from third party scheduler.

How can I create and organize a symbol to be integrated into Illustrator's stock symbols?

Hello,
I am trying to create a series of symbols for maps (north arrows, scale bars, etc.) and then save them in Illustrator's "stock" symbol libraries - such as "maps". The goal is that whenever I create a new Illustrator file, I can immediately grab these newly created symbols without having to open another file and copy the desired linework from the other file (just trying to be more organized and efficient).
I am at a loss. I understand how to pull them into my drawing and break the link to modify. I also have gone as far as to make a custom symbol and drag it into the "Symbols" dialog box - but it wont let me drag it into the "Maps" Dialog box. And even if I dragged a symbol into the dialog box - is it automatically saved? There are no instructions regarding how to save symbols the user creates.

The apps are managed by the firefox marketplace.However you can check about:apps-manager or the marketplace website when signed in. Using iTunes 11 - How do you download and update iPhone Apps?

Now that Apple has quaintly updated iTunes to version 11, I can no longer find the Applications listing on the LHS column which allowed easy updating of Applications prior to an iPhone synch. Gone through all of the menus and tabs but nada. I'm needing to do this as iOS 6 has a bad habit of "hanging" application uploads and a MUCH SLOWER wireless connection ... not to mention crappy install times. Any suggestions short of using Android?! I'm also finding it interesting that Apple hasn't updated their search engines or databases to understand/accept iTunes11 OR iOS6. I hate to say it's the beginning signs of a crumbling infrastructure. Something Steve would never accept! ... and HEY ... I OWN a chunk of Apple Stock!!

OK ... so after MUCH head scratching I've learned the following:
To get to the Apps section of your iPhone:
(1) Synch your iPhone (iPod)
(2) From the top Left hand drop down menu in the iTunes window, select "Apps"
(3) After your Apps all show in the window, go to the bottom Right hand side and you'll find the number of "Updates Available". Click on that radio button and it'll download the updated apps.
(4) iTunes will bring up your "My App Updates" window
(5) Select the "Download All Free Updates" symbol and download
(6) Select the "Done" radio button
The App Store will then load onto your next window.
(7) You can then select the "library" radio button in the top Right hand side and you'll see your "iPhone/iPod" radio button appear on the top Right hand side of your next window. Select and synch!
Sort of a convoluted method ... but it works!!

How to use BlazeDS and a JavaWeb app right

I have a java backend app for a Flex front end app, all glued fine and dandy using blazeDS. I got it to work by copying all the config files and the jar files to my java app.
My question is, is this the right way to do it?
All the examples just say to deploy blazeDs.war additionally to the java app. I did not wanted this, so I ended up doing it the other way.

That's quite alright! Just copy the following files to your web application and you are good to go:
BLAZEDS/WEB-INF/classes/commons-logging.properties to YOURAPP/WEB-INF/classes
All the .jar files from BLAZEDS/WEB-INF/lib to YOURAPP/WEB-INF/lib/
The BLAZEDS/WEB-INF/flex directory to YOURAPP/WEB-INF (i.e. your WEB-INF directory has to contain a flex sub folder with the xml configuration files)

Itune find All my song but no playlist keeping and NO RATE ! I thing the playlist is my fault cauz I don't export My playlist before rebooting .. but Too much time I passed to rate all my song ...

How I take music and organize folders off one iPod and add it to another iPod?

Hello, I'm trying to take music off of my older iPod then place it on a newer iPod and also on my older iPod. I have my music situated in different folders. I would like to keep my folders also on the new iPod can this be done? Also, I'm trying to take the music of my older iPod and place it in iTunes on a newer computer without taking the music that are already in iTunes on my new computer. If this cannot be done, I will have to go through that painstaking task of downloading all 35 GB of music on the iPod and manually do it.

Ideally you would keep all your media in a backed up iTunes library held on a computer. That way you could connect a replacement/additional iPod and quickly restore your media and settings to it.
