How do I re-install Acrobat after hard drive has been replaced?

I purchased and installed Acrobat XI in June. Shortly after this the hard drive on my laptop needed to be replaced and I now need to reinstall. Can I do this using the original code, as if installing a new product, or do I need to do something different? Please advise

Thanks, mate, but the computer did not come with any iWork DVD. It only had the OS install disc and the Application restore disc, neither of which contain iWork. The error message reads: "Pages cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Pages works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X. Clic Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."
I sent a report to Apple. This message repeats for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. My original receipt shows the iWork app was paid for.

Restore iPhoto after hard drive has been wiped?

My Macbook Pro Hard Drive recently failed and the Apple store wiped it clean. I had a number of important photos on iPhoto and I am wondering if there is any way to retrieve these? Being that they were added recently to my computer via my iPhone (they were deleted from the iPhone after they were imported), they are not backed up to any hard drive. I have iCloud on both the computer and the iPhone, but I am unable to retrieve images from that on the phone or the mac. For some reason photo stream was not working when I synced my phone to iCloud last.
Is there any way to retrieve photos from iPhoto or the iPhone (after they have been deleted?).
This is critical because I have recently left a rental and the pictures were taken before I moved in and after I left and now the land lord is attempting to accuse me of ruining the place.

There is a extreme possibility you can recover deleted files from the hard drive provided:
1: The Apple folks did a quick format, which they likely did as a Zero erase would take hours.
2: Where the old files were located on the drive hasn't been overwritten yet with new data.
3: Your competant in spending $100 for Data Rescue and install OS X on a external boot drive (blank)
Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
The Apple folks shouldn't hae erased your drive without allowing you the opportunity to perform data recovery efforts, since they don't perform this function you should have consulted here first or got more info and not allow them ot erase your drive.
A local PC/Mac computer fix-it could have recovered the data first, then you could have taken it to Apple if you did't have a backup yet.

My computer has been a lemon. They refuse to properly diagnose, fix, and document my complaints regarding the multiple failures I have had with this computer. Also, I was told that upon my logic board being replaced back in April or May that the topic of replacing the computer altogether with one of equal equipment would be appropriate. Insofar, I have been to the store at least three times in the past month to discuss my issues with the computer that were not resolved when the hard drive was replaced in May. I was also told that the repairs on my system would be good for up to 90 days after the repair work was done and that I could buy AppleCare at the end of the 90 days in lieu of insuring a product that still had defects. I have been on the phone for what feels like hours with Apple trying to work this issue out but they are not wanting to stand behind their product nor are they willing to stand behind their warranty. The warranty expressly states that a computer can be replaced entirely if the defect is considered hardware malfunction and at the representative’s discretion. Every time I brought it in for repair it was due to hardware malfunction; however, they also said once that it was an accessory that I bought that was causing the problem which ended up not being the case after all. This is totally unacceptable. I also asked Mark from AppleCare to let me know what was repaired the second time the computer was put through a diagnostic at the Apple Store. Beachballs, Gears, excessive heat, not being taken seriously at the Apple Store, being insulted by a Mac Genius at the Apple Store, being misinformed by a Mac Genius, dealing with a misinformed Mac Genius. They replaced my iPod touch without much ado. I was also accused by an Apple Genius of being "hyperbolic." He said this in response to my complaint of the computer melting--literally--items on my computer desk. I am either wanting a refund of my money or a replacement of my laptop. Also, I have lost an incredible amount of data on my computer due to the hard drive being replaced x 2. Not acceptable. Also, the Apple store is 1 hour from where I live. I am currently looking for employment and additionally have a legal case pending where I am the plaintiff. The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

Keeping itunes library after hard drive has been wiped

Help! We had a problem with our computer in that the whole hard drive was wiped so it's gone back to factory settings. Does this now mean that we'll have to start again and put the whole library of songs back on? I've got over 2,000 songs on my ipod so really want to avoid this if I can.

After getting a hard drive back in working order you can either reinstall the software using the disks if you purchased disks, or you can download your software as a trial version and use your original serial number to activate it.
If the software is the latest version you can download it from Adobe's product pages.
If the software is an older version you can download the trial version of the software using the link below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Internet recovery asks for his Apple ID and password. He has no idea. I have an Apple ID but have never bought anything through the iTunes store so it won't accept my Apple ID. I don't know if his computer is under warranty. He does not remember if he has Applecare. I tried reinstalling Leopard -- the computer originally came with Leopard -- but the computer screen goes grey and a message comes up saying I need to restart. He wants to give this computer to me since it's useless to him. What do I do to get a system on it again?

You will need to reformat the hard drive to go back to Snow Leopard or Leopard.
Does he have a Snow Leopard Disk? He should, as there is no way to go from Leopard to Mountain Lion without it. If you can find the Snow Leopard Disk, I'd at least start with that.
You will need to use Disk Utility in the installer to format the hard drive and get rid of the recovery partition.
Boot from the installer disk by holding down the C key on restart. When it boots, Open Disk Utility (Utilities menu, at least in Snow Leopard).
Select the Hard drive and then click the Partition tab.
Select 1 Partition from the partition menu.
Select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the format.
Name the drive (Macintosh HD is the standard).
Click Apply to partition the drive.
When it is done, quit Disk Utility and install the OS.

I have a Thinkpad T41p with Window XP Pro on it. I have a new larger hard drive for it, but I do not know how I will be able to install the OS on the new drive. The laptop came with the OS already installed on it. That will to be the case, of course, for the new hard drive. So what do I do? If you could point me to a step-by-step procedure, I would be most grateful. I have installed numerous OSs, so I am familiar with how to do that from installation CDs.

Just went through this process on my wife's T41. I did the following:
downloaded and installed the eval copy of Active@ Disk Image and Active@ Boot Disk (created a boot CD).
rebooted to the BIOS setup and in the security setting for the IBM Predesktop Area I selected Disable saved the changes and booted
rebooted to windows and usedActive@ Disk Image to create a raw image of the entire disk to a USB hard drive
Shut down and removed the original hard drive and installed the new empty hard drive
rebooted using the CD created by Active@ Book Disk and started the Active@ Disk Image utility
selected the Image to Disk option. This took the raw image and installed it on the new hard drive (this included the hidden partition as well as the windows partition
rebooted without the boot cd and logged in to windows
rebooted into the BIOS and reset the security setting for the IBM Predesktop Area to Normal, saved changes and booted
result is the same size partitions as before on the new 80 GB hard drive so I then ran Partition Magic to resize the Windows partition to utilize all of the remaining space on the disk (left the hidden partion in place - it is still bootable)
rebooted and I now have a 74.5 GB drive for windows with all of the installed software intact
I did plan on using the recovery option to reinstall the image to the factory settings since I had a few issues with windows on the original drive. Ran Rescue and Recovery and it could not find the restore images After much searching it appears that I will have to go out and buy the CDs (unless someone has a free download option)

How to properly clean install: erase, partition hard drive, and install tiger then SL

Hello,
     I am a noob at this, so if responders would be kind enough to be detailed / specific with any instructions it would be most helpful! I own a dinosaur apparently (even though I don't think so): the white (not unibody) Intel macbook2,1 (late 2006) 1.83 GHz with currently 1GB of RAM, but I have 2x2GB RAM sitting next to me ready for install. However, first I would like to do a clean uninstall of my computer (running OS X 10.6.8 SL). I also would like to properly partition my hard drive while I'm at it.
     About 6 months ago I had serious crashing issues, along with kernel panics, hangs, applications randomly appearing & disappearing, system settings and options doing the same, fans running high (probably due to the low RAM available), and basically overall screwiness. So, after trying pretty much every option I could find on this community...and many others... (e.g. clean cache, clean old logs, already did a clean uninstall and install of SL, and much much more) I have reached my wits end. I would say that to date I've wasted a good solid 2 months with this.
     The clean install worked for MAYBE a month or so, but then it started acting up again with the fans (even without high pages in/out, CPU or memory usage) and excessive heat, along with the apps freezing and quitting (mind you it would be only two things open such as 1 word document and then firefox-- with flash disabeled). SOOOOOO long story short, I have purchased new RAM and I would like to try this once again, but to ensure I don't screw it up this time I would like some directions as to how to do the uninstall, partition, then reinstall. (currently to date I ensured all updates are completed---even though they are no longer released for SL, and I just did a full backup).
     Also, I need to first install Tiger (my original OS) as when I went to do a hardware test the other day this was not an option (and upon further research it is due to me not using Tiger as a first install and then using my mac box set for SL). I didn't use my original OS first because....one issue encountered when I had tried to install Tiger was that my Disc 2 (the applications one) took around 1.5 hrs to complete, but when I reached the last step of glory where I expected it to say COMPLETE it instead said that there was some sort of issue with the disc..........of course).
     Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1: If near a Apple Store or Authorized Repair, take it to then for a free evaluation, it might have other hardware problems now that it would be a waste of effort even continuing.
2: The RAM needs to be

Basically what this means is you can put in a 2GB module and a 1GB module for 3GB total.
I wouldn't proceed with installing RAM just yet, not until you get a stable OS X version on the machine, you might have a hard drive needing to be replaced as well which you can do while inserting new RAM.
3: This User Tip can assist in installing 10.6 Snow Leopard, partition format etc.
How to erase and install Snow Leopard 10.6
Software Update fully immediately after setup.
There is no need to install Tiger, he 10.6 disk contains the full 10.6 version, you can either install the iLife from Tiger disks or use Pacifist from Charlesoft to extract them and place on your new install, then Software update to get them current.
4: If not successful then the drive also likely needs to be replaced, if so choose a 7,200 RPM SATA I w/1.5Gb/s connection.

If your getting beeping noises or "you need to restart" issues, it's likely one or more of the RAM modules is bad. Have it exchanged or swapped.
I advise good quality RAM the first time, if you buy cheap stuff it's just going back.
Don't go any further than 10.6.8 with that old machine, the performance will be terrible.

How do I recover PE 12 after hard drive failure?

On February 25, 2014 I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 12. The page 'my-products-services' lists it along with all of the other Adobe products that I have purchased for my Windows 7 64-bit desktop PC.
I have been successful in re-installing CS6 Design and Web Premium after a catastrophic hard drive failure last month; however, am presently stymied in trying to even locate where on the Adobe website it might be allowable for me to re-install. For reasons unknown, My license is listed for PE12, but my order isn't listed under account-orders.html#myorderhistory. CS6 is shown on that page and was how I was able to reinstate CS6.
Does anybody know what I should do next?
