How do I re install windows home premium OA?

I had windows home premium OA on my computer , but I believe it was accidentally uninstalled from my hard drive.  I have the product key that is on my computer.  I was having trouble finding the correct link to reinstall it on my lap top.
When I went to the microsoft Website all I found was support for windows 8 .  Can you give help me with the proper link? thank you

Please provide the manufacturer and model of your pc.
It is possible you have a hidden recovery partition on your hard drive which may be used instead of a recovery disk to restore your system (and Windows) to factory defaults.
Recovery procedures vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
You should also search for any recovery disk/s that were supplied with your pc. Manufacturers invariably charge a significant fee to supply replacements.
If you decide to use borrowed/downloaded media to reinstall Windows on an OEM pc, the process may not be straightforward. Without some experience and patience you may end up with no other option than to pay a professional to finish the job.
Microsoft does not publicly provide download links for Windows. While you may stumble upon an official download source, beware that many unofficial sources will come pre-loaded with viruses, trojans etc.

    Hi,
Download and install the IDT driver on the link below - this should also install the Beats Audio interface.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54236.exe
After the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

  • Formatted HP dm4-3099se with Windows 7 Home Premium and Would Want to Re-install the Home Premium

My laptop is HP Pavilion dm4-3099se and it came with Windows 7 Home Premium. The password was misplaced and I was advised to format the system. The system was formatted (all the disks were deleted except the C: drive) and a Windows 8 pro OS installed. Shortly after the formatting, the misplaced password was found. If it is possible, I would love to revert to the OS that came with the system (i.e Window Home Premium) and also recover all the drivers that came with the system.
    Please, help me.

    Hi,
    There are Two options available.
    1.  You can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs using the link below - these will reinstall the operating system, all required drivers and nearly all of the original software ( the exception often being trials of MS Office ).  They will also re-create all the original partitions, including the Recovery Partition.
    Order HP Recovery Discs.
    2.  Another option you could consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.
Also, if possible, back-up the swsetup folder that can be found at the root of your C drive.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your notebook - this is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here.  These Images are clean and from a well-respected source ( Digital River ).
    Windows-7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit
Use the disc to perform the installation, enter the Windows activation key found on the COA Label when requested and when the installation has completed, use the 'Phone Method' detailed in the link below to activate the OS - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who just want a clean installation of Windows 7 without the additional software load normally bundled with OEM installations.
    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-windows-7-by-phone.aspx
Regarding the drivers etc you need, if you were able to back-up the swsetup this will contain all the software and driver installers for your notebook - if you weren't able to, drivers and software you may need can also be found Here.

  • Can I install windows home server 2011 on a mac mini?

    Hey guys and girls...
Can I install windows home server 2011 on a mac mini? If so how?

WHS is 64-bit. Genius are really not versed in Boot Camp or Windows, let alone anything not on the "approved" list of Windows versions.
Most of the problems are with burning ISO, or the SuperDrive. It should have seen the NTFS partition. Disk Utility is known to be trouble, burning it on your Mac Mine but iwth Windows 7....?
Seeing you have Windows 7, format the partition to NTFS 160GB you want and then exit and boot WHS installer.
Or run the install from Windows 7.
In past, WHS supported TimeMachine, streaming video, supported iTunes (that was broken/disabled it seems by Apple with 10.0), as well as even SuperDuper backups.
Main idea is to have some network attached drives.
    Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra2 Review
Newegg - HP StorageWorks X310 Windows Home Server
I have both a ISO and Burned it to a dvd useing windows 7 built in ISO burning software, Its a 64 bit copy (got from microsoft download website from my dads microsoft account).
It is enouth for the OS but it runs slowish on the mac mini (latest core 2 duo 2.4ghz model) The Idea was to have it backup my pc and laptop to a usb drive and act as a media centre pc (connected to av receaver and tv and on a gigabit network with a 2TB nas)
Since it looks like this may not work, whats the best way to make it into a media centure? mac osx? windows 7? plex? whats best and good?
I'd avoid USB like the plague. Why not use your PC instead? If I was going to use a Mini for WHS, I'd just use the Mini solely for Windows and not have OS X (you can boot OS X off an external drive anyway).

  • Can I change the OS of Touchsmart 610 from Windows Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro?

I have 610 1100me system loaded with Windows Home Premium 64 bit.  We bought it from Dubai and is in use in Pakistan.  It started giving problems after few weeks of use.  Its' hard disk makes noise and sometimes, system could not find boot disk.  Most of the times blue screen of death and hanging issues.  Any idea about this issue and how to fix it?  My observation is that the culprit is hard disk!
Also, can I change its OS to Windows 7 Pro or ultimate (32 or 64 bit)?  Where can I find all drivers for Pro or Ultimate?
Many thanks for your valueable advice.

    Hi,
Nearly nothing change interms of drivers required for Windows 7 (HP, Pro, Ultimate) unless you switch from 64 to 32 bit. You can reuse your current HP 64 bit drivers for 64 bit W7 Pro or Ultimate.

  • Repeatedly asked to install Flash 11 on IE 9 Windows Home Premium 64 bit

From my admin account - I successfully install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 11.  Everything works fine (in that same admin account) until a system reboot.  Then I receive messages from websites stating that they want me to install Adobe Flash.  I do so and all is well until the reboot.
I have followed all the instructions on the Adobe main troubleshooting pages from uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling, rebooting through the deletion of folders at run %appdat%\Adobe - Flash Folder and %\Macromedia and then uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling etc.
Again, I receive a successful installation message and everything works properly until the reboot.   Looks like a lot of users have had this problem, but I haven't found a clean answer. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
I followed one suggestion and downloaded and ran Secunia PSI and found no older version of Flash Player installed.  I do also have Adobe CS 5 Suite installed. I also started receiving messages from HP Solution Software that it would not operate until the latest version of Adobe Flash is installed.  I uninstalled the HP software pending resolution.  Uninstalls and reinstalls of Flash were not successful after removing the HP software either.

Hello, I too have experienced the repeating of installing Flash Player after performing a successful install. The PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421, and Flash Player 11.4.402.265. The installation of the latest FP indicates a successfull install. Then when going to any site that uses FP, for example, weather.com, yahoo news, youtube, a message window indicates the latest FP needs to be installed.
I've went through the steps in thread 4613512 (FP uninstaller), 928315 (clean install), 987370 (permissions errors), the steps in this thread including deleting the %Appdata%\Macromedia folders prior to the install, removed references to Adobe 7 in the Windows registry (running Adobe 10.1.4). Also checked that Windows Media Player was not installed. It is not. All of the functions in the steps within these threads seemed to complete successfully. No errors or other problems were indicated. Would you have any suggestions on something else to try?  Thank you.

  • Nf750-g55 problem installing windows7 home premium 64bit

so i am attempting to build a htpc for a friend. got all the parts in the mail and started assembling the thing. installed the the m/b, cpu, hard drive, DVD drive, and power supply into the case and hooked up a old VGA CRT monitor and PS/2 keyboard and mouse. attempted to load the OS (specifically Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - OEM)(purchased from newegg) which is where my problems started.  pardon the length here but i will try to be as detailed as possible to describe the issues.
initial boot, everything powers up goes through the MB splash screen and it asks for bootable media.
i put the install disk in the DVD and reboot, it comes up and boots from the DVD and brings up the windows install desktop. copies files, expands files, installs features and updates then auto shuts down to reboot.
on reboot it brings up the desktop and starts flashing the 3 little dots next to the words completing installation. it does this for approximately 2 Min's then the computer crashes and app 20 seconds later the monitor led turns from green to amber for loss of video signal.
computer reboots with MB splash screen then brings up the windows shut down unexpectedly screen "what do you want to do?"
if i start windows normally it brings up the windows splash screen with the 4 fireflies that turn into the windows icon, blinks once then black screens. few secs later the monitor led goes amber and the system reboots.
if i start in safe mode it will go Through the windows splash screen to the desktop and gives me the message "cannot finish installation in safe mode please reboot"
as of this time i have swapped the memory out for the smaller module listed in my Sig. i started with a 4GB module of gskill ripjaw but have read that windows7 sometimes doesn't like more then 2 GB installed so used a spare i had laying around. i also tried another harddrive, i have run memtest86 as well as a harddrive diagnostic on the installed drive. i have swapped the drive sata cables around a bit. currently have hd in sata1 and DVD in sata4.
i reflashed the bios from v1.3 to v1.5 with no change in the symptoms.
i also unplugged everything from the front panel of the case except for the power/reset switches and power/hdd LEDs. no overclocking. insured the overclock dips on the MB were set in the off position.
i also have tried to install both 32 and 64 bit versions of 7 ultimate. both fail in the exact same way. however a copy of server2008 32bit installed just fine.
i made a tech support ticket with msi and hit the highlights in my post there, the response was that this type of concern is typically caused by memory issues but since i had both swapped in another memory module and run memtest that it was likely a MB issue and i should contact my reseller for an exchange.
before making an rma request i wanted to touch base here and see if anyone might have a solution that wont require me waiting another week or so to get this thing up and running. it almost sounds like i may have a driver type issue that is causing things to wig out on me, since it boots OK in safe mode but not in normal mode. but i really dont have any idea on how to test that theory.
in advance thank you for any suggestions

well i tried out a diferent dvd and cable today and no go on a resolution that way.  and yes the ram module is in the dimm1 slot
as a hail mary i stuck my HD into my other computer and installed the os that way and then ran the msi driver disk as well before parking the HD back in the other case. amazingly the thing booted up just fine and loaded a bunch of drivers. everything seemed ok until i rebooted and got a bsod during loading into windows. at least now i have a direction to go with. the minidump info listed the nvlddmkm.sys driver as the fault. from a quick websearch this seems to be a issue with the nvidia driver sets. i am currently attempting to locate a stable driver set version. will post back with either success or failure results

I recently was given a HP laserjet 4240n by my employer to use in a remote office.  I am using a Windows version 7 home premium 64 bit laptop.  I have tried the HP install wizard - no support for this printer.  I have tried downloading the "correct" driver - but that doesn't work either.

  • [24" Imac, 10.5.3] Can't install Vista Home Premium on Boot Camp

I'm having problems getting Boot Camp to run Vista.
I set up a 32 GB Boot Camp partition with Boot Camp Assistant, and encountered no problems. Stuck in my full version of 32-bit Vista Home Premium (includes SP1), and then continued with the installation. iMac reboots, drive spins, and then all I'm left with is a black screen with a dos cursor blinking in the upper left corner. Doesn't respond to keyboard or mouse input. Will reboot into OS X no problem. Below is a list of the things I've tried to resolve the problem, but non have made any difference.
    * Booted from Vista DVD while holding down "c"
    * Turned off wireless Mighty Mouse & rebooted
    * Plugged MS wired mouse into keyboard & rebooted
    * Removed all attached USB and FireWire peripherals & rebooted
    * Ran Boot Camp Assistant, deleted partition, created new 32 GB partition, rebooted
    * Ran Boot Camp Assistant again, deleted partition, created 60GB partition, rebooted
    * Consulted apple.com/support/bootcamp and found nothing helpful
    * Consulted Support Discussions and could not find any threads dealing with the problem I'm experiencing
Does anyone know how to solve this pesky problem? Advice and suggestions welcome.
    Thanks,
    R

I would never go back to Vista, forums are where people ask for help. If you looked at the Leopard OS X forum you would definitely never want to upgrade or use Safari or TimeMachine or worry what the next Security Update or to iTunes harbors.
Upgrading from Vista is supported but backup first, and a clean install is always going to be best. And the same goes for even Tiger to Leopard. Also needs to be the same 32 or 64-bit, going from one to the other is not supported.
Some systems, and keyboards and such, are better supported than others. Windows 7 has support for a wide range of current hardware already.

  • S205 w/ Windows Home Premium not recognizing Integrated WebCam - Windows 7 Drivers?

I just got an awesome deal on an S205 netbook. Everything is great except that I cannot get the WebCam to work. This is a deal breaker. If I can't figure it out I'll be returning it.
So far I have tried various things. When I first started this I couldn't figure things out. There was no camera in the Device Manager and nothing obvious on the system (hardware, software) about a camera, except that I can see it, physically on the netbook and know it came with a WebCam. How to use it? Nada. So I went to the Lenovo site & installed a driver and then Skype. The microphone works in Skype, but no picture. Totally black. However, it automatically brings up Lenovo YouCam when you test the video in Skype. So that helped as this software was not recognizing a camera either, so I knew it wasn't just Skype.
Then I figured out that I needed to hit Fn+Esc to enable the webcam. I thought that was the ticket. However, as soon as I did that I got a message that the USB device was not recognized. I uninstalled the driver and went back to reinstall it to see if that might help, however at this time I realized that the driver's on Lenovo's site for the s205 are for XP not Windows 7. Seriously? Turns out there are two different sites. http://support.lenovo.com and http://consumersupport.lenovo.com The later has the Windows 7 version, the first site lists Xp drivers ... Installed the W7 Driver again, but still not working or recognizing the camera ... Anyway, I am not a techie, but I am pretty decent at figuring stuff out or Googling and researching this stuff online. Or following your directions/suggestions. From my searching so far no one seems to have this exact issue. Most it is either not having software to use the camera or not having it enabled and neither of these are my issue. Any ideas for what my next step should be? Details on my system below. Thanks!
    Lenonvo ideaPad - 11.6" 1366x768 LED; AMD Dual-Core E-350 1.6GHz; 4GB RAM; 500GB HDD; 802.11n; Windows 7 Home Premium; ATI Radeon HD6310M graphics; webcam; 6-cell battery
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I've had some webcam issues, too.
Sadly, the webcam device ID is not listed in the driver available for download at the support page.
Thus, installing this driver is pointless.
Nevertheless, you can force the driver installation and it will work as it should.
Please have a look at the device manager.
Double-click the unknown device, go to Details and select the Hardware ID property.
    It should be USB\VID_5986&PID_0292&REV_1403&MI_00
(In case you got a different VendorID/ProductID, google them. You should quickly find something. Be sure this device is the webcam and not some other device. Otherwise don't continue.)
Now unpack the driver setup file with 7-zip or WinRaR.
Back to the Device Manager -> Double-click the device, select the Driver tab, click Update Driver and browse for the extracted folder. You will need the Bison subfolder.
    Good luck.

  • Xfi extreme audio SB0790 Windows Home Premium

I have installed Windows 7 upgrade on an HP desktop that was running XP Pro. Install went fine exept I have an error "No Audio Device Installed"? yet I have installed the Xfi extreme audio card in its slot. The card works fine with XP. I have gone with the windows update installed the current driver with still no luck. Searched the forums again no luck, have done my due diligence via the internet and with beta drivers and still only have the red X everytime I boot. What can I do to get this card working agian?

Re: Xfi extreme audio SB0790 Windows Home Premium0 As I stated in my first post I did my due diligence and after installing beta drivers for the SB0790 then installing the recommended driver dated July 09 it still does not recognize the device (7 Home Premium). I have gone through every forum google points me to we are not alone, taking advice I've installed then deleted these drivers about 0 to 20 times I've tried compatibility mode "Vista" "Vista SP", "Vista SP2", "XP", and so forth with no luck also running the driver as admin. Every time I update driver in 7 it tells me I have the current driver yet I have a red X and no sound.
I can't believe that Creative does not have working drivers for the final release of 7 knowing that they had 6 to 8 months to prepare. Really poor on their part.
