How do I read emails sent in my AOL program

When I open up firefox I wish to read some of my emails in order to activate some the video types which I cannot read on the AOL settings but can if I 'cut n paste' into firefox

If you've set up the email account via Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account then you should be able to read them in the Mail app. Or you can view them by logging into your account via Safari

    how can you trace an email sent to see if it was read?

    hello, this is a support forum for the firefox web-browser, so your question is only loosely related to the topic of this forum - however the short answer to your question would be: it is not possible to achieve this in any reliable form.

  • How to automatically forward emails sent to my old Comcast to my new Verizon email?

    This MUST be posted somewhere but for the life of me, I can't find it.  How do I have emails that are sent to my Comcast email automatically forward to my Verizon email?  Also I believe the sender would then be notified that the address has changed?...  Thanks:  Ed

    I believe you can set this up through Trueswitch. Verizon has partnered with them to offer this service for free to their customers.
    ***Important Note: The forwarding will only work as long as your Comcast email address is still active. - Once Comcast closes your email account, Trueswitch can no longer forward the mail.

  • How can I read email from my aol account from my iphone and keep it as uread on my computer at home.  It automatically goes to read mail on my computer.  On my computer if I want to keep an email to answer later I can mark it "Keep as New".

    How can I read my email from my aol account from my iphone and keep it as "unread" on my computer at home?  At home I can read an email and if I want to get back to it at a later date I can mark it as "keep as new".  I tend to forget it if it goes to "read" mail.   Right now, when I read an email from my phone it goes automatically to "read" mail.

    On the iPad, using the mail app, there is no way to do what you are asking without tapping the flag icon and marking the item as unread. Have you tried the OWA app for the iPad? It may have that functionality, but I haven't tested it as you need an Office 365 subscription with Exchange support to use the app.

  • How can I read emails that have been moved onto my local hard disk?

    Hallo Everyone,
    I had some emails in my local folders. I moved my local folders to a new drive. There are now none of my local folders in TB. I used TB and found the messages through the profile, but I cannot read them, they are not displayed as messages they seem like txt files. How can I read those messages as I need to print out some of the information.
    Thanks for your help.
    Cheers,
    Russ Kent

    What was the reason to start messing with this in the first place? It's not recommended, unless you know exactly what you're doing.
    I'd just revert the change, and you should be good to go again.

  • How to re-read email from Gmail?

    Guys another question from me.
    I have 2 account, Yahoo and Gmail. I access the 2 of them with a JavaMail application.
    my question is:
    1. Why Gmail's POP3 protocol can't retrieve my newest message, e.g the one with today's date. I've set it to download all message from the inbox, but from what i read, It download the latest messages only from the ones dated back to 2006. Here's my sample code:
    Folder folder = reader.getFolder();
    result = folder.getMessages();
    //Read Through Email
    System.out.println(result.length);
    for(int i =result.length-1;i>=0;i--)
    String subject = result.getSubject();
    Date tgls = result[i].getSentDate();
    System.out.println(subject+ " Send Date: " + tgls);
    2. Why can't i Redownload an email from Gmail account? How to prevent it? is the FetchProfile class has anything to do with it? Yahoo can do it for sure without it. So i wonder, how to do it with Gmail (or others with the same POP3 behaviour)?
    3. If i really need FetchProfile for Gmail, is Yahoo! (or other email provider) can use it too?
    4. Can somebody explain to me what is the FetchProfile for?
    Thanks in advance.

    Yeah I've checked it, changed it to the first option - "     Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)"
    And still it can't re-download the downloaded once.
    Well I've got my reason for this, it's because my program does something like this:
    1. Fetch the message
    2. Take all the message except attachment, insert it into a new class called LightMessage that represent a structure like Messages but without Folder or Session pointer in it.
    3. We as user review it.
    4. If desired, we'll call the receiver again to search with MessageNumberTerm that was taken from the first Pop3 fetch to take the attachment.
    But that was resulting in error i've posted, saying that the message array is empty though the message is still in the inbox.
    Should I just download all the Message info and then just take the attachment from the downloaded ones? Thanks in advance.

  • How can i read emails saved on a hard drive (from my MS laptop) on my mac?

    Hi!  I have backed up my outlook mail on a hard drive and now want to view the emails on my mac.  Do i have to buy the outlook software to be able to do this? Is there another way to view these emails without having to buy the whole outlook programme? Thanks!

    The bookmarks are stored in a file called places.sqlite inside the profile folder. You can copy that file from the old profile folder into the profile folder of the laptop, this will replace the bookmarks in the laptop with those from the desktop.
    For details of how to find the profile folder see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    You can recover more than just the bookmarks, for details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile

  • Mail not reading email sent from Outlook.

    I know of the RTF issue from Outlook, however I have an interseting issue.
    Sender (using Outlook 2007 with mail format set to html) sends an email to myself and another coworker (both of us are using Apple Mail on 10.8.2).
    I receive the email just fine.
    My coworker receives the email with a winmail.dat.
    Any tips would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    David

    Until I can figure this out, I had my coworker download TNEF's Enough ( http://www.joshjacob.com/mac-development/tnef.php ) It's not perferable but at least he can read the emails right now.

  • Reading emails sent from iPhones on Nokia N8 Belle

    My phone works well and receives "normal E mails" and attachements.
    However E mails sent from iPhones display the header and any attachements, photos or security/copyright message.
    My complaint is that the text of the message is missing. Once downloaded there is no option to refresh
    or download again. I do not remove messages from the server with the mobiles only with the PC.
    When message is fetched by a PC the text is there. It also arrives on my N900.
    I could not find mention of this in the discussions.. Thanks in anticipation.. Nokpiks

    @Murf1
    If you don't want to install what is offered, you can go to SW updates > tap on three horizontal line icon at bottom right of screen > Settings > Auto-check for updates = OFF
    You also need to temporarily turn off mobile data and restart to remove the notification.

  • HT4623 How can I send email after changing my AOL password on my iPad2?

    After I changed my AOL password due to the latest spoofing scam, I cannot send any emails from my iPad2. I have gone to settings and changed my email password. The latest attempt to resolve this to go to the advanced page and I clicked on sent and now sent is no longer working. I think I've just made matters worse for myself. I can go to the AOL app and both receive and send emails, but I want to send directly from my iPad mail feature. Help!

    in settings, mail, go through the setting for sending again.  you need to restate your password.  make sure the server name and port are correct.  It may be simpler to delete the account and start over - ( you mail is still on the aol server - it will not be lost)
    If you are not real sure of the settings, simply google aol mail settings, and you should get a clear answer.
    since you are receiving, you have the right password in place  - you just need to reconnect to the sending server.

  • How can i add email notifications to a scheduler program

    Hi,
    We have a scheduler chain that calls 2 scheduler programs.
    The chains are controlled by a scheduler job that has job_type as CHAIN.
    My challenge is how to add email notfications on the failure or success of the programs.
    I know about this procedure DBMS_SCHEDULER.ADD_JOB_EMAIL_NOTIFICATION, but this is only applicable to jobs and not programs(i believe).
    Is there an alternative way to trigger off emails for scheduler programs please?
    Thank you

    Hi gloria79,
    Mail uses Contacts to store email addresses and group addresses.  You would need to create the desired group on your MacBook.

  • How can I read the raw data by other program?

    How can I use other program (such as C, MATLAB) to read the raw data acquired by biobench (*.bb)? Since the export function of biobench 1.0 is not convinient, I hope that I can read the data directly by decompressing the *.bb file. In other words, can one tells me the format of *.bb file?

  • How can I access messages sent to .mac email aliases?

    First off, I apologize if this has been addressed earlier. It appears that search is disabled right now and I don't have time to sift through the entire discussion.
    Has anyone determined a way to read email sent to a .mac alias through the iPhone? I'm only seeing messages sent to my primary email address. When I try to add the alias as a separate account on the phone, it is rejected by the mail.mac.com server.
    Thanks!

    I have sucessfully set up my .mac alias (using .mac mail).
    First make a note of your primary account information:
    Username & password
    Incoming mail server
    Outgoing mail server
    Ports etc...
    You will be applying these settings to your new account.
    On iPhone go to:
    * Settings/mail/add account/choose "other".
    * Sellect type: imap
    Name the account (name you want to appear in "from" field of email).
    Type in your .mac alias address.
    Description: Name of mailbox (i.e. personal, work).
    Incoming mail server (enter info from your primary account):
    * Host Name: mail.example.com (or mail.mac.com)
    * Your primary account username
    * Your primary account password
    Outgoing mail server (enter info from your primary account)
    In my case, for out going mail server I am using:
    smtp.att.yahoo.com, port: 465
    My username & password
    Now, on my iPhone mail, I can select which account to send & receive from.
    Personal or work.
    Works for me, hope it does for you!

  • How do I get my email in Apple's Mail program from old drive to new drive?

    I can not determine from Apple's support info how to export my email in Apple's Mail program from the old drive to the new drive.
    The old 60 GB drive was at 55GB and had 3 volume structure problems. It would not backup all files using SuperDuper!, but I could backup the user files onto an external 250GB Tintanium Fantom Drive. So I installed a new 120 GB in the iMac and took the old 60GB drive and put it in an external firewire drive housing, which mounts, runs and will even act as the startup drive. I installed 10.3.9 on the new 120GB drive. I was able to export the address book over to the new drive with no problems, but I don't know how to export the email.
    There does not appear to be an export function in Apple's Mail program (This sounds kind of ???).
    I have a lot of email (#???) in a lot folders and subfolders (60) in addition to the inboxes, plus all the sent mail (2,000)

    The Mail.app preference file (which stores all account information and general Mail.app preferences) is located at Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.mail.plist.
    All Mail.app mailboxes and other data is stored in the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail.
    With the Mail.app quit on the new hard drive, place a copy of the Mail folder from the old hard drive at Home > Library on the new drive. If there is an existing Mail folder at Home > Library, this will replace it.
    Place a copy of the com.apple.mail.plist file from the old hard drive at Home > Library > Preferences on the new hard drive. If there is an existing com.apple.mail.plist file at Home > Library > Preferences on the new hard drive (and there should be one if you have launched the Mail.app on the new hard drive), this will replace it.
    Launch Mail on the new hard drive and the Mail.app should be completely restored or identical to the Mail.app on the old hard drive.
