How do I reboot everything back to the original settings? HELP!

The only discs I have is the MAC OS X and the applications install DVD. I would like to restore everything back to it's factory settings deleting everything from my mac. How do I do this?

Insert the Mac OS X DVD, choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu, erase the drive, install the OS, and if desired, use the Applications DVD afterward.

Select the Zoom Tool in the tool box and see if Scrubby Zoom is unchecked or greyed out in the tool options bar.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I am very disappointed (yet I somewhat understand) Apple and how they completely have no interest in helping return lost items. I don't believe the person who traded me this was from around here so I don't even know where to begin. I seen on ebay you can sell them for parts but I don't really believe in doing that and would like to at least try my best to get it back to whom it belongs to. I will be contacting my local police department regarding this but I don't think they will be able to do much if it was stolen from somewhere else. However if nobody claims it in 90 days and I have a letter from my local police station saying I am the new owner, will that be enough for apple to unhold their policy of proving the item belongs to you?

DAM = "Digital Asset Manager", a fancy name for a filing system.
iPhoto keeps the original and makes one (usually much smaller) copy based on your edits. It is non-destructive in that if you crop, and later change the color, iPhoto will go back to the original and apply the corrections to get the new image, it will not simply modify the preview.
If you want a high quality copy of the image, use the export function which allows you to specify the size and compression.

Open the hard drive by double clicking its icon on the desktop (assuming you have these turned on to show). Double click the Users folder. Is there more than one account there? Is your original account still there?

It keeps changing the browser window, some programs in one window, others in another. How do I get everything back on the same window? I want this disabled but not sure how to do it, or how I even got it started.

The Get Info. fields show up gray if the files is locked and iTunes knows it can't edit the file. Make sure the files are not marked as read only and, if necessary grant both your account and system full access to all files and subfolders of your media folder.
You can set Part of a Compilation for multiple tracks from the Options tab of Get Info.

Escape only works if I press shift+esc. How do I change it back to the original setting?

Pretty much what the subject line says. Out of nowhere, my escape key only functions if I press shift+esc. The physical key itself is not broken, but it seems a setting in the OS was changed somehow and I don't know how to revert back.

Someone reversed the monitor settings -- help

A student reversed the monitor settings so the screen shows black with silver letters/graphics. I think they hit 3 keys that does this. Does anyone know the keys that let me reset the monitor back to the original settings?

Go to System preferences -> Universal Access (under System section). Click on the "Switch to Black On White" button.

Re-sync your apps and content from iTunes on your computer or redownload it from the iTunes Store, then restore from your backup:
