How do I record all running Audio.

How can I capture or record all audio mix of my Mac not just the input like the wavemix on a pc? Is there any solution?

Try using Audio Hijack Pro from http://rogueamoeba.com/ . You can combine Audio Hijack with Soundflower to mix and match your audio ports and applications. Mike

  • How do I record my computer audio and my screen?

So, I've been making lyric videos using Keynote because they look a lot cooler that with iMovie. The Problem is, I'm trying to use QuickTime to Record the keynote along with the audio I have set up with it. However, I can either record all outside sounds (the song and, shuffling, background noise), and the song sounds really muffled. The other option is to record nothing at all. Can some one help me record only the computer noise and the screen?

I was just here. A case of the right place at the right time.
I have always thought that SnapzProX looked like a cool app. I have never had such a need, so I have never used it. I think it has a demo to give it a test run.

  • Inqueries: How can Java record/playback mp3 audio?

    Dear Gurus & Members,
I am very new in Java. I wonder if it is possible to use Java to create a small application/plugin on my e-learning website that will record user's audio through microphone, save as .mp3 on the user's pc and enable user to playback the mp3s when they select. If yes, what do I need and how can i do?
My website is created using mostly Macromedia Flash. Can Java be incorporated with Flash? How can i call this java plugin from the Flash-created button on my site?
Is there any freeware that has built such application? Any suggestions and ideas are highly appreciated. Hope to hear some replies soon and have a pleasant day.
    Thanks in advance,
    Janice

    Thank you for that suggestion.
So I took the mp3 file which is about 60 minutes and added it to iTunes.  I opened iMovie and dragged the mp3 to the upper left hand corner and dropped it into my project.  Worked great for the first 13 minutes or so.  After that, the movie still runs but there is no sound.  I checked on iTunes and the entire 60 minutes is there but it didn't seem to transfer to iMovie.  Thoughts?
    thanks

  • How can I make all 40 audio clips the same volume?

    Hello, all!
I'm finishing up a General Orientation video for new employees in Yellowstone National Park and am-this-close to being finished!
I'm creating the video in Premier Elements 9 with some video footage and some still photos blended together.  (Yes, I tried to "Ken Burns" it...  he would laugh out loud if he saw my version!)
I've narrated most of it in individual WAV. clips that I've inserted into the audio timeline under each video segment.
I have about 40 audio clips, and even though I used a decent microphone, I still find that each clip has a slightly different volume that is really noticeable when the video DVD plays on TV.  I'm realizing that I should have made an effort to keep a standard distance from the mic when recording.   Hindsight is 20-20.
I have been trying to change the volume on each clip to make them all the same volume, and it's making me a little crazy.
Is there any way for me to capture all the audio at one time and make an adjustment that would make all of them the same volume?    I tried CTL-A and then did "normalize" on it, but it seemed to make very little/or no difference when viewing.
Any advice would be really appreciated!
Signed, the lone creative video girl in Yellowstone.

You are most welcome, and it has been a great day. Thanks!
Good luck, and pay close attention to the differences between Clip Keyframes and Track Keyframes. They accomplish the same result, but have differences.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • How do i record all exception in log file?

    Hi,
how can i record my all exceptions in a log file? So it is easy for me......thnx.

By using the jdk1.4 Logger class in the java.util.logging package (or an external product like Log4J if you're using jdk1.3 and lower), and putting the log statements in your catch blocks to record the exceptions thrown?

  • How do I close all running applications before launching my java app?

Does anyone know of anyway I can code to close all running applications, even if I don't know the process names to begin with?
Is there open source code than anyone has written to do this. Other applications interfere with my app and I need to terminate all running apps/processes before launching my app. Please advise.

I see we aren't all on the same wavelength here, let
    me rephrase:
How can I write JAVA code that will terminate all
running applications so as not to interfere with the
security of my application's content, as it is
extremely sensitive content and I need to know that
no applications are running which could defeat it.
I would like my application to terminate all running
applications, is this possible to write in java code.Do you consider all the processes running in the background (launched by the OS) as part of "all running applications"? Do you not consider the OS itself as part of it as well? You're really barking up the wrong tree. But go ahead, I know you won't be convinced regarding the wonkiness of your thinking.

  • How do I get 'all' my audio books into the Audiobook folder?

Hi, I'm an iTunes newbie (new touch) and am trying to get to grips with some of the quirks of iTunes.
I have some audio books I purchased from Audible.co.uk and when imported into iTunes these go into the Audiobooks folder in the iTunes Library.
However, I also have several audio books I have converted from CD's into MP3. When I import these into iTunes, they always end up in the music folder of the Library. No amount of dragging and dropping or searching of the 'preferences' have allowed me to move these files into the Audiobook folder. Can this be done in iTunes?
    Any help greatly received.
    Regards,
    Glenn

If you are going to do it this way, I would suggest a SmartPlaylist.
Highlight all of your audiobooks, go to file, then get info. Now, pick a section to edit (Comments, grouping or genre are the best choices) and enter a tag such as "Audiobook".
Now, create a SmartPlaylist to only show anything with that particular tag.
For example, "Genre contains audiobook". Only files with Audiobook will show up.
Forgive me if you knew how to do this, but I figured as a new user this might be helpful.

  • HT201272 how can i get all my audio books i purchased

How can i get back my autio books i had purchased

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store - if you don't have them on your computer nor on a backup (and if they are still available in the store) then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • How to set up recordings of audio and video so that they will sync

I'm editing footage of a dance concert that used CDs for some of the dances and a live pianist for the remainder. In addition to the audio captured by the camera, I have all the CDs that were used and an additional audio recording of the piano that sounds much better than what was captured by the camera. I would like to use to mix the audio from the camera with the audio from the CDs and the additional recording of the piano, but the sources won't sync properly, since the camera, the CD player, and the audio recorder all run at slightly different speeds. For example, if I zoom in and line up the CD audio with the camera audio at the beginning of a song that lasts 3:21, at the end of the song the CD audio is late by about 11 frames. That's enough that I can't use the camera audio as ambient sound, and enough that the dancers are noticeably ahead of the music (by 11 frames).
I know I could time-correct my sources so that they will sync, but I'm wondering how to avoid this problem in the future.
    Thanks,
    John Link

    John,
On most professional recording or editing environments we try to run a sync signal to all the devices. Many of the audio recorders out there are not equipped to accept or send sync. For that matter, neither are the consumer and prosumer cameras. That's one of the many things dividing pro from non-pro.
Wild sync , just running at a true and constant speed, is a lot easier now than " in the day." but one still sees issues like you have when not running sync between devices.

  • Youtube videos choosing main audiotrack, how do I combine all the tracks in Imovie on Mac?

Exactly what the title says. On iMovie, how do I combine all the audio tracks so that Youtube chooses all of them?

This forum is for mobile iMovie.
As far as I've experienced iMovie iOS only exports stereo sound.

  • How can I use all tracks from multi-channel source audio with Multicam clips?

I cannot figure this out. Working in Premiere I'm prepping for a 2 camera show, with typically 4 to 6 track dual-system audio recorded by the sound guy. I can sync, and make multicam clips any number of ways–whether sync by timecode, sync by audio, or eyeballing–but whenever I edit using the MC clip, Premiere mixes down all the audio channels into a stereo single track, and I cannot pick and choose which audio track from the original to use. With 2-5 people mic'd on lavs, I need to be able to choose which audio is either cut in or heard at any given shot.
Is there any way to have control in multicam clips over which track of audio gets edited into the timeline, or even: that all tracks of audio get cut in? It's very important for the editors to be able to see waveform (which also disappears for some reason in the mixdown) and pick and choose which audio is heard?
I'm sure this might be a simple fix, but I cannot get my head around it for workflow purposes for my assistant editors. We need to use multicam, but this audio thing is driving all of us crazy. None of us can figure out how to have a multicam clip and use it with control over what audio is cut in.

True, but what I need to be able to do is have my multicam sequence in the source monitor, and cut into my working sequence with either just the audio I need from the sound guy's multi-channel WAV, OR cut in all the sound and from then I can just enable or disable what I need or don't need. But also be able to match back to the Multicam source from my working sequence.
I don't want to have to open the synced sequence, and razor blade the things I need and have to copy and paste into my working sequence in order to have the full spectrum of my multi-channel mono lav WAV files...with their waveforms visible.
Essentially, I want my Multicam clips to load in the source monitor, and the ability to cut them into the working sequence without it mixing down the audio into a single track with no visible waveform–which is what it is doing currently. Can I choose to edit in either ALL of the tracks of the WAV file along with the camera shot I want, or control which audio gets cut in?

  • How do I fix bad Quality audio recording in Captivate 4

I am having trouble recording decent quality audio in Captivate 4.
What is happening is after I do the screen and audio recording when I play it back the audio is choppy.
It also kind of sounds like the audio is quickly echoed and then clipped.
Finally this clipping and choppiness seems random when it happens.
I tested this by recording 5 minutes of the demonstration (which recorded with only 1 glitch in the beginning).
When  I just recorded the second half when I played it back in Captivate it  was very choppy again throughout the audio making the complete session  unusable.
I am doing full motion recording of an application at 1024x768. I have tried all audio recording bitrates and have even gone up to 128kbps 16bit mp3.
I am using a high quality Audio-Technica AT2020 USB microphone.
I am running Windows Vista Service pack 2 fully updated with 4GB of memory on an Intel xeon W3503 2.4Ghz in 64 bit mode.
I have installed the latest patch update http://www.adobe.com/support/captivate/downloads.html 4.4.0.1 hoping that it waould solve the audio bugs to no avail.
Please let me know what else I may need to do to get Captivate 4 working like it should.
Are there any other settings or tests I should perform to get audio recording working.
Why would I even want to pay for Captivate 5 if Captivate 4 has worked so randomly for me.
Using 3rd party software like Audacity and even Adobe Soundbooth seems absurd when Captivate has audio recording built in.
For the time being I have gone back to Camtasia on another system because it actually seems to work but need to get Captivate working on my own system.

Try "Rapid Recorder" from store....it works well.

  • How can I record an Audio Instrument (saxophone) and listen to a reference track at the same time?

How can I record an Audio Instrument, and listen to a reference track at the same time?

Are you using an external audio controller or the line-in and headphone jacks on the side of your computer? You shouldn't have an issue using headphones when you're recording through the line-in but you may want to make sure you have monitoring on and it's going to the right place.
If you're using an external audio controller, try making an aggregate device combining the controller and the "built-in output" into the same device. Go to Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup, click the "+" sign at the bottom left to make a new device and check the "use" boxes to the left of the physical devices you want to use as part of that aggregate device. That is how I use the computer's speakers or headphones to monitor my input as opposed to only being able to use the output on my audio controller.
Now that I see some of the questions on the side of this page I realize that the 13" MBPs seem to have only one combined input/output jack... That is an incredibly stupid feature. What on Earth could possibly justify that design decision? I suppose if that's the problem you're having you'll have to buy some sort of splitter (if they even make them) or get an external audio controller like an Apogee Duet or something along those lines. I would be furious if they combined those two jacks on all of the MBPs.
