How do I recover an audiobook after a harddrive crash?

I recently purchased an audiobook via itunes on my iMac. The hard drive on that iMac failed completely a short time later and needed to be replaced (which was done at an Apple store). I want to redownload the audiobook I purchased onto the new hard drive so I can have it in my Library. The audiobook shows up under "purchase history" but not under the "books" section of "download previous purchases"
I DID upload the audiobook to my iphone 4 before the hard drive died, and turned on "home sharing" on my iphone to see if I could possibly retrieve the audiobook off the iphone via homesharing, but the phone does not show up under "shared" libraries in itunes.
If I try to sync the phone to the iMac NOW, I'm pretty sure I will lose the audiobook if the content that is NOW on the iMac is transferred to my iphone. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't want to chance it if there is no other recovery method.
Ideas?

To clarify, it shows up under "purchase history" as part of my appleID account detail, with my order number, invoice number, date of purchase, price, etc... That info is not a downloadable file.
When I go under "Purchased" in the STORE menu, the audiobook does not show up (incidentally I have purchased multiple audio books in the past) and NONE of them show up, and therefore cannot be redownloaded.
Upon further research it seems I can not download an audiobook more than once and the only way to now recover it is to beg apple to re-redeem my purchase? Is that correct?

The direct "copy and paste" from the post did not work: I had to retype it :
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
but then it worked like a charm!

And btw: I turned on the "-v" option for the lsregister to see, what was going on, and saw plenty of error messages (error -10811); so I repeated the command with "sudo". After that I still saw five iPhotos. Repeating as regular user finally got rid of the redundant iPhoto entries. It looks like registering as super user may be causing this trouble.

1. offline complete backup taken 2 days ago. database was in archive mode.
2. today i lost my system data file, and also lost my all archived files.
3. i started up the database but, the following error was generated.

Where did the music come from e.g. bought from iTunes, copied from CDs ? You can only upload music to iTunes Match from a computer's iTunes, so if those songs were copied from CDs then were they in your computer's iTunes library when you subscribed to it ?
When you turn on Match on an iOS device you are effectively saying that you want to replace the music that is on that device and use what you have stored in Match instead.

Hello guys! I have been using Time Machine to back up my Macintosh HD into an external disk in August this year. Considering the limited storage of my external disk, I have excluded all of my photos and musics to be backed up. Today I got some problems of my system and started using time machine to restore my computer to the state of August. After restoring, I found all of my photos and musics and other important files which have been excluded to be backed up by time machine are missing. What a disaster. I don't think that audiobooks are included in the iTunes in the cloud availability for free downloads again. If you delete them, you have to purchase them again. That is why Apple "stresses" backing up your purchases in iTunes by transferring purchased content into your iTunes library. If you rely simply on downloading something again after you delete it, it may not be available when you go to download it again.
Anyway, I am pretty use that's the case with audiobooks, but the best way to know for sure, is to go the purchased tab in iTunes and see if they show up for another download, but I don't think that they will.

How do I recover my history after a crash?

I've had firefox crash twice in the past week which of course deletes all bookmarks and history. Because of the way Firefox is with everything hidden in places.sqlite they are difficult to recover. They give you backup of bookmarks, but not of history. Is there any addon or any way of retrieving history? I made a backup of the old profile and started new for now. I tried sqlite browser, but it doesn't work on places.sqlite. I tired renaming the corrupt file and deleting the others. No luck. How do I get history back?
