How do i recover pictures and videos off of my iPad mini? I was going through some pictures and accidentally deleted a few as well as one video which was very important. We dont have a Mac but we do have a desktop with Windows 7. Help is needed!
i just really don't want them gone!!
You may be able to recover them using a utility such as IExplorer - iPhone, iPad Music & File Transfer App for Mac & PC.

-The iPad is set up for syncing over the cable as Wifi sync is very buggy

It is very odd. When I want to add music it the bar at the bottom indicated that this is how much it will fill up on the iPad etc etc. I click on sync and then it goes through it's various steps to determine tracks and then nothing.....
It just simply does not sync anything over even though there is 8GB of free space and plenty of room on the ipad so I know it is not a capcity issue. Any help would be great. Usually a long serving mac user would find a solution but in this case I am puzzeled.Solved the problem, by upgrading to Mountain Lion.

How can I recover pictures that were deleted from my Playbook after a OS upgrade?
The playbook would not back up when i connected to my pc via the BB desktop manager.
The message that popped up in the desktop manager advised the Playbook counldnt connect and the solution was it needed an update. When I okayed the update, the new OS was installed.
All I did was click ok to the message. Nothing popped up telling me the playbook would be wiped.
Now, all my pics and videos are gone - and have not been backed up. Is there any solution?
Thanks for your time.Yes. I tried the refresh and checked the uninstall tab. Still nothing. Another thing though - when I entered my Blackberry ID, it would not let me use my screen name because it was supposedly already in use. But I knew that because it was in use by me. It would only let me use the same name with a numerical suffix. So I am wondering if it thinks I am still logged on from before the upgrade. Also, is it possible the Playbook thinks I am some other use and won't let me access my files - like photos and videos, etc.

My pages look different. There are no boxes to check or uncheck emails. Black lines run through the headings.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

She is making in app purchases. Probably not knowing what that means to your monthly credit card bill. Use the Settings app to enable restrictions and turn on restrictions for iTunes, App Store and in app purchases, mabe some others too. The restrictions will be set with a passcode to prevent your daughter from changing them.

You will have to transfer the files via the Finder.
Get a free copy of MPEG Streamclip and convert them to QuickTime .mov using the H.264 codec if you are presumably editing in iMovie.
Note that your list of video codecs won't look like mine as I have Final Cut Pro, but H.264 is definitely an option for you. -

In the first instance, I'd use Onyx and run through its sequence of maintenance and tune up tools:
Verify, Maintenance, Cleaning.
I'd also reset the SMC and PRAM (Google them)
If that doesn't help then I'd look at System Preferences.. > Accounts > Login Items tab (not Login Options). Check what processes get started at login and decide which ones you don't want.
After that I'd use Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor to see if any processes are using a lot of computer power or if anything else nasty might be happening.
If none of this helped then my final step would be to reinstall OS X.

Back up all data.
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -

You should be able to sync your 3GS to your computer and make a backup. Then connect your iPhone 4S and restore from a backup. This should effectively move all your data to your new device. Report back if you have any problems.

My Mac Book Pro had a split drive with Windows Microsoft Access on it and it was removed when Mavericks installed. I need this so how can I go back to the old system?
Restore from the backup you had prior to installing Mavericks.
However, the upgrade should not have altered your partition scheme. Did your erase and format the drive prior to upgrading? -

You can recover deleted video files from webcam with webcam recovery software, take a look at this guide:

You mean for an iPhone 4S? You can't. Yo can only update an iPhone 4S to iOS 8.1.3.
The only iPhone that can currently download iOS 6 is an iPhone 3GS.

If your iPod Touch was the last device that you connected to and synced with your iTunes library, there is a chance you might be able to get the serial # to show up in the Device Connectivity diagnostic report. See here for instructions on running this test.
